摘要
原型理论和二语习得研究同属语言认知领域。把原型理论应用到二语习得中去既是原型理论研究发展的需要,又为二语习得研究提供了新的思路。通过对原型理论进行阐述,结合原型的特征,根据词在形、音和义方面的相似性提出了两类词汇原型:形音原型和词义原型,并将其应用到英语词汇习得中,尤其是对英语词汇的认知和记忆中,以体现其应用价值。
Prototype theory and second language acquisition （SLA）are both related to language cognition. Applying the theory into the sphere of SLA can enrich and develop itself, and provide new approaches to the study of SLA. Through looking into prototype theory, this paper puts forward two types of lexical prototypes in the light of the similarities of sound, spelling and meaning of words, and applies them to vocabulary acquisition, especially to the cognition and memorizing for English vocabulary, so as to embody and realize the application value of prototype theory.
