摘要
学术自由和学术责任是互相补充,互相对应的,这两者被视为是一个硬币的两面。现代大学在享受学术自由的同时必然要承担相应的学术责任。大学享有学术自由的合理性有三个来源:认识论的、政治论的、道德论的。而大学理应承担的学术责任则表现为:研究高深学问的责任、培养的责任、文化责任、服务社会的责任、国际责任及国际理解责任。
Academic freedom and academic responsibility are supplementary. They are seen as both sides of a coin. A modern university should perform its academic responsibility while enjoying its academic freedom. The justification of academic freedom stands on three supports, epistemological, political and moral. Accordingly, the main aspects of academic responsibility of a modern university go as follows： exploring higher learning, training students; leading in new culture, serving the society, and promoting international understanding.
