摘要
为了找出ICQ(QQ)网络聊天方式在促进学生语用能力的作用和特点,研究者通过收集和分析中美学生QQ聊天记录中提问和请求语用策略的使用情况,对这种交际性学习方式进行了实证研究。研究结果显示,如果对这些资源进行合理利用将会大大增强学生的语用能力,但是如果使用不当会给教学带来负面影响。因此教师必须加强引导。
The present paper investigates the pragmatic strategies of elicitations and request employed by Chinese and American students in the ICQ interaction so as to find out function and characteristics of this communicative way of learning in the improvement of Chinese EFL learners' pragmatic competence. The result indicates that if applied properly, it will be of great help in improving students' pragmatic competence. On the other hand, it brings with its side effects for teachers as well as students to escape from.
