Effect of Manganese on the Conduction Velocity of Peripheral Nerves in Exposed Workers

摘要 目的:探讨锰对周围神经传导速度的影响。方法:81名电焊工人和82名正常对照工人,应用神经肌电图检测方法进行周围神经传导速度测定。用石墨炉原子吸收分光光度法测定血锰浓度。结果:接触组电焊工人的血锰值(53.66±27.86)μg/L明显高于对照组(41.86±22.10)μg/L(P<0.05)。接触组所检测的腓总运动神经传导速度较对照组明显减慢,远端潜伏时较对照组延长,F波最短潜伏期(Fwave)较对照组明显延长,均具有显著性差异(P<0.05)。结论:提示锰不仅对中枢神经系统产生损害,对周围神经系统也产生不同程度的损害。周围神经传导速度检测可作为慢性锰中毒诊断的一个参考指标。 Objective: To study the effect of the manganese exposure on the conduction velocity of peripheral nerves. Methods. Eighty-one subjects with manganese exposure as a case group and 82 normal workers as a control group. The conduction velocity of peripheral nerves was examined by electromyography. Results. The results showed that there was a significant difference in the peripheral conduction velocity in which the movement conduction velocity was much slower, the F wave shortest latency and the distal latency was longer in the case group (P〈0.05). Conclusion. Manganese was harmful to not only the central nerve system but also the peripheral nerve system. The peripheral nerves conduction velocity can be used as a reference parameter for diagnosis of the chronic manganese intoxication.
