在科学活动中,科学审美具有巨大的心理功能、文化功能、认识论和方法论功能。科学审美是科学家从事科学探索的强大动机和动力,科学审美赋予科学以某种文化品位和价值、人性因素和人情味,科学审美是科学发明或科学发现的突破口,科学审美是科学理论评价或科学理论辩护的试金石。
Appreciation of the beautiful has the mental function, the culture function, the epistemological and methodological function in scientific activities. Appreciation of the beautiful in science is a strong motive and power that scientist engages in scientific investigations. It gives science certain cultural grade and value, human nature and feelings. It is the breach of scientific inventions and discovers. It is the touchstone of evaluation and justification of scientific theories.
