摘要
本文涉及范围:祁连山以北、贺兰山以西的甘肃西部和内蒙古自治区的西三旗(即阿拉善左旗、阿拉善右旗和额济纳旗),地理位置为东经92°4O′～106°30′,北纬27°15′～42°43′,总面积约43万平方km。 近半个世纪、特别是解放以来的三十多年间,随着国家经济建设的蓬勃兴起,本区各项地质工作得到了前所未有的发展,与国民经济建设和人民生活密切相关的第四纪地质研究亦取得了丰硕成果,但至今尚未进行过系统总结。最近几年,作者有机会专门从事本区的第四纪地质工作,取得了不少新资料,并对前人工作成果作了较系统的研究。
General Station of Evironmental Hydrogeological and Engineering Geological of Bureau of Geology and mineral Resources of Gansu ProvinceBased on the recent data of magnetic strata, Chronological strata, Climatic strata and biostratigraphical unit etc, and the Synthetic research to the senior achievement, This paper summarises all-round the genetical type, petrographical proper and the petrographical facies Variation law of Quaternary Sediment in the whole region. The opinion of lower age limit and the interior division of Quaternary have been proposed in this paper At the same time the new understanding to the genetical type of some sediments. And a preliminary plan of division and Correlation of Quaternary strata in this area also have been proposed, moreover, the "Huang-Ni-pu group" of the fluviolacustrine facies has been established. Therefore research work of Quaternary in this area has reached into a new levelAccordining to the research of the typical section and the regulation concarning standardization, This paper propose to stop using the name of "JiuQuan Formation" which is replaced by the new name of "Yii-lin-Ku Formation" . That is to say, The latter supersedes the former.
