摘要
15-16世纪,中西方商业算术不但从传统的实用数学中分离出来,而且取得了前所未有的发展与提高.尽管二者在这一时期的发展进程表面看起来颇为相似,但究其根源,仍存在着本质的不同.通过中西比较的方法,从思想背景、发展脉络以及对后世的影响等方面,分析了中西商业算术之间的相异之处,并从数学、历史及文化等角度推究其深层次原因,得出相应结论.
In 15--16th centuries,commercial arithmetic of China and the West was not only divided from the traditional practical mathematics hut also got the development and improvement that it had never got before. The commercial arithmetic of the West and China seemed similar in some apparent aspects, however, there were some essential differences. Through the comparison, the difference of the commercial arithmetic between the West and China from the background, development and influence, etc is analyzed. The reasons on the deeper level from mathematical, historical,cultural and other aspects are studied, and the corresponding conclusion are got.
