The component, hardness, density and microstructure of typical glass mould materials made in developed countries are analyzed. It is shown that glass mould material made by Jiangsu Changshu Orient Mold and Die Co Ltd differs from that from the developed countries. The way to improve Orient Glass Mold materials was introduced. KDT-1 type mold material with Dtype graphite was produced.
