朱顶红蕾期切花在４℃下冷藏三周内，其花朵开放率和开花品质均与未贮花相当。瓶插液中不同含糖浓度对切花的瓶插寿命影响不显著，但较高浓度的瓶插液可增加花朵直径及花瓣颜色鲜艳度，综合对开花品质的影响及经济效益两方面考虑，含糖８％的瓶插液浓度最合适。瓶插液中加入Ｃａ（ＮＯ３）２对朱顶红切花的开放无显著功效，但赤霉素（ＧＡ３）可显著增加切花的瓶插寿命，其效果在一定范围内随浓度增加而增加。
When the bud-cut Hippeastrum flowers are cold stored (4℃) less than three weeks, the flower bud open-rate and flower quality are close to that of fresh flowers. The influence of different preservative concentrations on vase- life is not remarkable, but higher concentrations (≥8% ) can enhance the flower diameter and brighten the flower colour. The GA3 in the preservative can make the vase-life of cut flowers longer.
