简评卢嘉锡在原子簇结构化学研究中的贡献

摘要 卢嘉锡是我国著名化学家,在多个学科领域内工作过,硕果累累。本文主要介绍他近期(1972~1995)在原子簇结构化学研究中的贡献。 The Fuzhou Model F-1 and Fuzhou Model F-2 concerning the chemical modelling of the active center of nitrogenase in biological nitrogen fixation were put forward by Jiaxi Lu and his colleagues in 1973 and 1980 respectively. The key parts of the F-1 and F-2 were confirmed by the recent X-ray diffraction work of nitrogenase crystal structure determinations, carried out to a resolution of 2. 2A by the Rees group of Caltech and the Bolin group of Purdue University respectively. On the basis, they have introduced a new type of coordinated activation of the inert N_2 molecule namely Fuzhou Model F-3.Since the early seventies, Lu and his colleagues have succeeded in synthesizing hundreds of Fe-S, Mo-Fe-S and related clusters.In the course of which, they have formulated two generalizations in cluster chemistry, namely, the 'unit construction' approach to the rational syntheses of cluster compounds and the existence of quasi-aromaticity in certain transition metal clusters.The results of their outstanding research work in the field of cluster chemistry have enriched structural chemistry and won recognition worldwide.
