摘要
英语中“Idontthink”这类否定转移句式最初所携带的表达礼貌的语用动机,在语言使用的历时性过程中,由于“含义短路”而实现了语用习惯的语法化,主要体现在否定转移的高使用频率、否定转移结构的构块化和主从连词“that”的脱落等三个方面。对“否定转移”语法化的研究有助于进一步了解其语法本质。
In the diachronic process of language use,the pragmatic motivation-expressing politeness, which the transferred- negation structure of “I don＇t think” initially conveyed,gradually gets frozen into the structure itself. It represents the grammaticalization of habitual use, which mainly embodies in the aspects of the high occurrence frequency and the construction of the structure as well as the drop of the conjunction “that”. The study on the grammaticalization of transferred negation may contribute to a further understanding concerning the grammatical essence of the structure itself.
