摘要
本文介绍了稀土金属及其合金的磁热效应。综述了磁热效应（ＭＣＥ）的热力学理论、测量ＭＣＥ的实验方法；稀土金属及其合金的ＭＣＥ研究结果以及磁热材料在磁致冷器方面的应用。
The magnetocaloric effect(MCE)of rare earth metals and their alloys is intro-duced in the present paper. The discussion of thermodynamic theory of the magnetocaloric ef-fect,the experimental methods of measuring the MCE,the reported results of MCE in somerare earth metals and their alloys and their applications in magnetic refrigerators are reviewed.
