In order to meet the demand for the designer of coupled cavity TWT, especially inthe design of the taper and the improvement of the efficiency,a large signal program for calculatinggain, output power and efficiency is a necessary condition. For this reason,Nanjing ElectronicTube Works and Southeaest University have developed and completed the large signal program VMC-CTl.Through the comparison between Vaughar's results and VMCCTl output data,it is shown thatthe code could guide the engineering design well.After further improvement, this code could be apowerful tool for the design,analysis and diagnosis.
