摘要
本文简要回顾了计算机在中国城市规划中的应用历史．对技术、需求、人才等问题作了初步总结．针对GIS的发展状态，认为除某些专门用途成和其它模型的结合上还有较大局限外，现有的GIS技术已经相当实用．但信息来源、信息的控制权、经济利益、人才等非技术问题还阻扰着该项技术的大规模应用，为此本文对测绘、管理、规划设计等部门提出了若干改进工作方式、增加服务内容的设想和建议．
The author summerizcs the use of GIS in planning on problems in the aspectsof technique, demands, and training of talented persons. The paper points out thatsome nontechnical problems are still preventing GIS from wide application insubjects such as imformation resources, rights of imformation control, economicbenefit and talented persons, etc. Some ideas and propositions are given to thedepartthents of surveying. managemcnt or planning about improving workingmethods and enlarging service contents
