现代医学研究表明，黄芪有防治心脑血管疾病、癌症、增强免疫能力的作用。作者对黄芪中的微量元素硒进行了研究，发现其与心脑血管疾病以及衰老等方面有重要的关系，其在体内的正常含量对健康有十分重要的意义。
