A STUDY OF Na+-K+-ATPASE ACTIVTIES IN ERYTHROCYTE MEMBRNAES FROM IDDM PATIENTS

摘要 对20例IDDM患者红细胞膜Na+-K+-ATPase活性变化及其与红细胞内Na+、K+浓度、红细胞变形指数(EFI)、空腹血糖、年龄、病程的关系进行了分析。结果表明IDDM患者红细胞膜Na+-K+-ATPase活性明显下降,且与红细胞内Na+浓度、EFI、病程呈负相关,而与空腹血糖、年龄无相关性。提示红细胞膜Na ̄+-K ̄+-ATPase活性改变对红细胞变形能力有影响。 A significant defect in the Na+-K+- ATPase activities of erythrocyte membrane of 20 IDDM patients was found as comparedwith 20 normal subjects.This defect was accompanied by an increase in erythrocyte Na+ content and a decrease in erythrocyte fil-terability index (EFI). So a significantly negative correlation existed between. Na+-K+-ATPase activity and cellular Na+ content,EFI and course of the disease. A significant correlation existed between EFI and cellular Na+content. Na+-K+-ATPase activityshowed no correlation with either fasting blood glucose or age of the patients.These findings suggest that changes in Na+-K+-AT-Pase activites of erythrocyte membrane exert influence on the capability of deformation of the erythrocytes.
