摘要
中国大陆海外留学人员是海外华人华侨专业人才群体中的生力军。其中自费留学人员中的高端留学者,是海外华人华侨杰出人才中不容忽视的组成部分。海外华人华侨高科技专业人士主要集中在美国等发达国家,这些华裔高级人才涵盖了所有专业和学科。进入所在国主流社会的海外华裔专业人士,正在改变所在国华人圈的文化层次、经济结构和政治色彩。
The Chinese students studying abroad are a new vibrant part of the overseas Chinese professionals. Among them the self-financed students constitute an vital component of the community. The majority of the high-tech professionals of overseas Chinese scholars are found in the United States, and their study areas cover almost all disciplines and specializations. It is assumed that the top overseas Chinese scholars joining in the mainstream society of the countries where they live are modifying the cultural, economic and political status of the overseas Chinese community in those countries.
