摘要
英国在20世纪初进入了消费社会阶段,英国女性的休闲活动在这一时期得到了迅猛的发展。英国女性的休闲活动主要有三种类型:购物型休闲、旅游型休闲和体育运动型休闲。英国女性休闲活动的迅猛发展,充分表明了英国女性社会地位的提高和自身一定程度的解放,但是,我们不能对这一时期英国女性的解放估计过高。
When the British society entered upon the consumer stage at the turn of the 20th century, British women began to devote a lot of time to leisure occupations. British women's main leisure occupations at that time were shopping, travel and sports. The rapid development of British women's leisure occupations speak volumes for the enhancement of their social status and their emancipation to a certain degree, although we can not overestimate the emancipation they gained in that period.
