摘要
The relationship between the Neolithic cultures on the two sides of the Hebei Plain were very close during 8000-7000BP; later, it was interrupped around 6000 years ago; but at about 5000BP, the linkage was gradually recovered. These changes must have been concerned with legendary floods judging from the temporal and spatial scopes in which they happened as well as the peculiar features shown in the cultures. At the same time, inundation should also be taken into account as a presumable important factor of this cultural phenomenon.
