摘要
本文介绍了世界低煤阶煤炭资源及其分类。现存不同目的的两种煤分类系统：学科／成因分类和技术／商业用煤分类，它们的应用范围、方法和目标都互不相同。现有分类系统要依据不同分类的需要，考虑修订，避免出现混乱情况，有必要依照国际煤炭分类情况及对我国的适用性，重新评价现存的中国煤炭分类。为此，重新制订中国低煤阶煤分类是必要的。
The resources of low rank coal in the world have introduced in this paper. There are two systems of coal classification:scientific/genetic and tech-nical/commercial classification of coal, both of them have illustrated. It has also be-come necessary to distinguish scientific from technical ones,both with different fields of application,means,objectives and purposes.The enormous diversity in exi-sting systematics on one hand,and the clearly distinct purpose required on the oth-er,has led to a very confusing situation.This has raised the need to elaborate sys-tematizations which will be of international scope and acceptance.If so, it is nece-ssary to draft a new classification or codification system of low rank coal in China.
