摘要
本文综述了日本主要钢铁公司科研单位采用激光焊接法开发出汽车排气管用具有高加工性能的铁素体不锈钢焊管概况。重点介绍了为减轻汽车重量对薄壁排气管性能的要求，不锈钢种的选择。采用激光焊接法的依据，激光焊接最佳工艺条件，激光焊接铁素体不锈钢管的质量特性。
A ferritic stainless steel welded exhaust pipe used in automobile is developed in Japan by laser welding.The contents of this paper are: the property demands of exhaust pipe for automobile; the selection of stainless steels; the basis of useing laser welding; the optimum technology condition of laser welding; the quality feature of laser welded pipe.
