In this study we observed that epilepatiform discharges induced by topical application of sodium penicillin (50IU)on rat's sensory-meter cortex were attenuated markedly after scalp electro-acupuncture at acupionts of some channels. Reduction of frequency, amplitude and duration of the discharges were shown by the experiment. We proposed the machanism of antieplaptic effect of scalp electro-acupuncture may be mainly related to the participation of some neurotransmitters.
