Genetic Analysis for Qualitative-Quantitative Traits Ⅰ.The Genetic Constitution of Generation Populations and the Identification of Major Gene Genotypes

摘要 质量-数量性状是指具有主基因效应的数量性状,它在作物的许多重要经济性状中均有存在。这种性状可能同时受主基因和多基因控制,但迄今尚缺乏相应的遗传分析方法。本文分析了主基因为一个位点时质量-数量性状的世代遗传组成。结果表明,如果能够区别分离世代中的各种主基因基因型,就能对这种性状是否存在主基因和/或多基因效应作出有效的测验;而主基因基因型(如果存在的话),则可通过其后裔株系的平均数和方差的分类或聚类进行鉴别。因此,质量-数量性状的遗传也可以应用生统遗传学方法作出分析。 Qualitativequantitative traits, abbreviated to Q-Q traits, refer to quantitativetraits with major gene effects. They have been found in many important characters,such as plant height, resistance to diseases and insects, grain quality and hybridfertility in crops. The Q-Q traite may be controlled simultaneously by major gene andpolygenes, but the corresponding.method for the genetic examination of them has notyet been developed. This paper analyses the genetic constitution of Q-Q traits ingeneration populations derived from a cross between two pure lines of selfing crops.The results show that the effect and variation of major gene can be distinguished fromthat of polygenes and valid statistical test can be established, if the major genegenotypes in the segregation generations could be identified. In most cases, the majorgene genotypes could be distinguished via the classification or clustering of the meansand variances of their progeny plant-lines. The inheritance of Q-Q traits, therefore,may be approached by procedures of biometrical genetics from classical ones.
