摘要
对汉语和英语在社会文化和语言文化两方面存在的差异进行比较分析,指出在翻译过程中,译者必须运用语用学的语境理论、格赖斯的合作和礼貌原则以及奥斯汀的言语行为理论,注意语用翻译策略,找出汉语和英语之间的语用差异,在译文中找到相应的等值语,实现语用等值。
A comparative study is made on the socio-cultural and linguistic-cultural differences between the English and Chinese languages. In dealing with such differences in translation, the translator should, by applying the pragmatic theory on context, H. Grice's Cooperative Principle and Politeness Principle, and Austin's Speech Act Theory, work out the pragmatic differences between the two languages and find the corresponding equivalence to achieve pragmatic equivalence.
