摘要
上古阶段的历史,以有文字记载的时期为界限,以下称为历史时期,以前则称为史前时期。夏以前,本来还有个虞朝,自20世纪20年代疑古学派风行一时后,虞朝和虞朝以前的文字记载的真实性皆被否定了。结果,关于史前时期,唯有考古工作者发掘出几千年前、几万年前,甚至几十万年前的遗物,才能证明很长的史前时期确有丰富的文化创造;而在这个时期中,古代流传下来的文字记载竟不值得一顾。这对研究上古史的工作是极大的损失。因为,有很多宝藏是地下发掘得不到的,如各种名号及重大事件的关系影响等,只有从文字记载中才可以得到证明。
Written Records are the mark between pre - history and history. There existed the Yu dynasty before the Xia dynasty, but the authenticity of written records of the Yu dynasty as well as its former dynasties was denied by doubtful scholars in the 1920s, in the result that culture in pre - history period could be proved only by the dug - out relics of the early years. The written records of this period ignored are a great loss to the study of ancient times, for many treasures cannot acquired from digging, such as various symbols and some important event that can be proved only by written records.
