摘要
语境、社会地位和交际双方的关系是三个决定礼貌的重要因素。本文通过对这三个要素的分析,展示了利奇(Leech)的礼貌原则的局限性和东西方文化的异同,以帮助语言学习者做一个成功的跨文化交际者。
Context, social statusand the relationships between the speaker (s) and the hearer (s) are the three very important factors determining the degree of politeness. The paper tries to show the limitations of Leech's Politeness Principles and the similarities and differences between the Chinese and Western cultures through the analysis of the three factors in order to help language learners become successful inter-cultural communicators.
