摘要
颗粒的动态光散射信号具有分形特征 ,通过对其特征值的分析 ,可以得到颗粒粒径信息。采用 10 0 nm、2 0 0 nm、5 0 0 nm和 10 0 0 nm4种亚微米粒径范围的标准聚苯乙烯乳胶颗粒样品 ,分别求取了它们的动态光散射信号的分形维数。实验结果表明 ,颗粒粒径越小 ,对应的动态散射光分形维数越大 ;粒径越大 ,分形维数越小。从而证明了用分形维数表征颗粒粒径的可行性。与相关方法相比 ,分形方法具有所需的采样数据少、计算简便。
Dynamic light scattering signals from particles exhibit fractal characters.This feature can be used to diagnose the particle size.Here the fractal dimension as a quantitative method to analyse the properties of dynamic light scattering signals from submicron particles is presented.The analysis is performed directly on the time-resolved scattered intensity,and 4 box dimensions of particles are obtained in the experiments.The experiments indicate that fractal dimensions can be used to analyze the particle size.In the submicron size range,the smaller the particles,the bigger their fractal dimensions.Compared with PCS technique,only hundreds samples are needed in the fractal method,and the data processing is easy to be completed.However,this method just provides the mean size of particles,but the continue distributions of particle sizes.
