摘要
元明时期进入邓川坝子的回回人,由于长期与白族为主的世居民族共居生活,在以族际通婚为主要方式的族际文化交融中,逐渐采借和接受了许多白族文化的特质,导致其族群外部边界的改变;但另一方面,由于他们坚守着伊斯兰信仰,从而有效地维系了族群的内部边界,即认为"自己是回族穆斯林"的族群认同和意识。这样便形成了一个兼有明显白族文化和伊斯兰文化特征的"白回"族群。
Owing to long-term mutual Life with other nationalities,mainly the Bai Nationality,the Muslim who entered into Dengchuan Bazi in Ancient Yuan and Ming Dynasties, have gradually adopted and accepted many features of the Bai Nationality in the process of cultural communications which adopted inter-marriage as their main form, as a result, the nationalities external boundary has to be altered. On the other hand, because of their strong Islamic belief, they effectively kept the internal boundary of the nationality, that is the congnition and awareness of the nationality,hence, the 'Bai Hui' Nationality, which has distinct cultural features of Bai as well as Islamic Nationality, has been formed.
