The Lower Yangtze Valley Group kept a wide range of communication with the flourishing literary groups such as the Cha-Ling Group, the Seven-Talent Group and the Chen-Zhuang Group during the reign time of Chenghua and Zhengde, presenting character of being open to the outside as they remained their local quality. Some of its members joined the Capital literary groups and thus changed their former status and literary style after they passed the imperial examinations. Some other members who did not pass the imperial examinations and chose to be hermits in their hometown kept their original capacity as they tried to explore available changes to communicate with the outside groups.
