Synthesis and application of the starch copolymer were described in this paper. The starch copolymer were prepared by various method for example: free radical initiator, anion initiator and other copolymerization method. The starch copolymer were applied for thicking agents, flocculant, floatation agent,absorbents for aqueous fluids, paper additivies, sizing agents et al.
