A CDIO Concept-based Study of College English Teaching in Engineering Colleges

摘要 以CDIO理念为指导,以某工程院校为实验对象,在该院校的3个班级实施一年的大学英语项目实践教学法之后,通过问卷调查和访谈的形式了解教学效果。实践表明,基于CDIO理念的大学英语教学改革能有效地提高学生的英语综合运用能力及其自主学习能力和团队工作能力。基于CDIO理念的工程院校大学英语项目实践教学能够有效促进工程类学生英语基本技能和职业英语综合运用能力的培养。 Guided by the CDIO concept, and taking three classes of one engineering collage as experimental subjects, a one-year term project practice teaching method was carried out in college English teaching and surveys and interviews were conducted to test the teaching effect. It found that a CDIO concept-based innovation in college English teaching can effectively improve students' comprehensive application of English. Besides, it can enhance their autonomous learning ability as well as their capacity to work in teams. Project practice oriented teaching method based on the concept of CDIO in engineering colleges can effectively boost students ' basic skills of English and their comprehensive application of professional English.
