摘要
随着社会语言学的蓬勃发展,性别歧视问题已经成为许多语言学家研究的重要课题之一。文章具体论述了英语语言中性别歧视的种种表现,分析了产生这种现象的原因,并提出了高校英语教师在教学过程中消除性别歧视的应对策略。
With the vigorous development of sociolinguistics,sexual discrimination has become one of the important issues discussed by linguists.This article discusses sexual discrimination demonstrated in words and sayings of English language.After probing into the reasons for this phenomenon,the author proposes strategies that teachers should employ to eliminate sexual discrimination in college English teaching and learning.
