摘要
在语言交际中 ,委婉语具有平和动听的作用 ,能营造一种和谐的氛围 ,使言语双方交流得以顺利进行。探讨英语委婉语的产生原因、构造原则和手段以及语用功能和语用特征 ,有助于我们提高英语的鉴赏和应用水平。
Euphemism can produce a mild, pleasing effect and create a harmonious atmosphere in our communication so that we communicate with each other very easily. The paper fully explores euphemism in the causes of its appearance, the principles and means of its formation and its pragmatic functions and features so as to help us appreciate and use our English better.
