"建设一支现代化教师队伍,是推动教育教学改革、提高教育质量的关键因素,也是加快推进教育现代化、建设教育强国、办好人民满意教育的根本保证。"教育部教师工作司副司长宋磊指出,面向教育现代化,教师应具备四方面的素养,且缺一不可,即高尚的师德与深厚的教育情怀、扎实的现代科学文化知识与能力、先进的教育科学理念与素养、精湛的信息技术应用能力。
"Building an outstanding team of teachers plays a crucial role in promoting educational reform and improving teaching quality.It is also a prerequisite to accelerate the educational modernization drive,build a strong nation through education and make people feel satisfied with the education," said Song Lei,deputy director-general of the Teachers Work Department of the Ministry of Education.He also noted that,to meet the needs of the new era,a teacher should have the four qualities:a noble morality and dedication to education;strong and modern scientific and cultural knowledge and capacity;state-of-theart educational concept and quality;and excellent ability in applying information technology.
