The goal of this paper is to investigate the theory of Noether solvability for Volterra singular integral equations(VSIEs)with convolution and Cauchy kernels in a more general function class.To obtain the analytic solutions,we transform such equations into boundary value problems with discontinuous coefficients by the properties of Fourier analysis.In view of the analytical Riemann-Hilbert method,the generalized Liouville theorem and Sokhotski-Plemelj formula,we get the uniqueness and existence of solutions for such problems,and study the asymptotic property of solutions at nodes.Therefore,this paper improves the theory of singular integral equations and boundary value problems. 展开更多

The numerous construction projects in China provide the best environment for the development of information technology applied in building design.Various commercial CAD/CAE software applications are purchased by design firms for multi-disciplinary design tasks.However,researches on integration and interoperability are seldom considered.This study pursues a breakthrough point of integration in the architectural and structural domains and expects further development in other aspects.A central building information modeling (BIM) framework based on the industry foundation classes (IFC) is proposed to handle the data exchange between IFC-compatible architectural models and structural models.A central XML(extensible markup language)-based unified finite element model (FEM) is proposed for model conversion among various commercial structural CAE software applications.In addition to bidirectional data interfaces among IFC-based BIM,XML-based FEM and various commercial FEMs,some other components such as visualization,calculation and model editing/check are also equipped into the prototype system. 展开更多

A new class of algorithms for trails lent finite element structural dynamical analysis which is amenable to all efficient implementation inl parallel computers (especially Massively Parallel Computers) is proposed. The suitability of the method for parallel computation stems from the fact that, gived an arbitrary partition of the finite element mesh, each element in the partition can be processed over a time step independently and simultaneously with the rest, and no global equation solving effort is involved. Although the Proposed EBE time integration algorithms are shown to have the structure of an explicit scheme, they are unconditionally stable over a certain range of the algorithmic parameter. 展开更多

Ice-Class Propeller Strength and Integrity Evaluation Using Unified Polar ClassURI3 Rules

A systematic method was developed for ice-class propeller modeling,performance estimation,strength and integrity evaluation and optimization.To estimate the impact of sea ice on the propeller structure,URI3 rules,established by the International Association of Classification Societies in 2007,were applied for ice loading calculations.An R-class propeller(a type of ice-class propeller)was utilized for subsequent investigations.The propeller modeling was simplified based on a conventional method,which expedited the model building process.The propeller performance was simulated using the computational fluid dynamics(CFD)method.The simulation results were validated by comparison with experimental data.Furthermore,the hydrodynamic pressure was transferred into a finite element analysis(FEA)module for strength assessment of ice-class propellers.According to URI3 rules,the ice loading was estimated based on different polar classes and working cases.Then,the FEA method was utilized to evaluate the propeller strength.The validation showed that the simulation results accorded with recent research results.Finally,an improved optimization method was developed to save the propeller constituent materials.The optimized propeller example had a minimum safety factor of 1.55,satisfying the safety factor requirement of≥1.5,and reduced the design volume to 88.2%of the original. 展开更多
