This study examines how organizational support influences the career adaptability of novice university teachers in Guangdong,China,and the mediating role of teacher self-efficacy.Drawing on social cognitive theory and...This study examines how organizational support influences the career adaptability of novice university teachers in Guangdong,China,and the mediating role of teacher self-efficacy.Drawing on social cognitive theory and organizational support theory,we hypothesized that organizational support would positively predict career adaptability through self-efficacy.A cross-sectional survey was conducted with 326 novice teachers(with 1–3 years of teaching experience)from 12 universities in Guangdong.Data were analyzed using correlation analysis,hierarchical regression,and bootstrap.Results showed that:(1)organizational support was positively associated with both self-efficacy(r=0.62,P<0.001)and career adaptability(r=0.58,P<0.001);(2)self-efficacy fully mediated the relationship between organizational support and career adaptability(indirect effect=0.24,95%CI[0.18,0.31]),with a partial reduction in the direct effect fromβ=0.35 toβ=0.17(P<0.05);(3)female teachers reported higher self-efficacy than males(P<0.05),and teachers with 2 years of experience showed significantly higher adaptability than those with 1 year(P<0.05).The findings highlight the critical role of self-efficacy in translating organizational support into adaptability,providing empirical evidence for universities to design targeted support strategies.展开更多

BACKGROUND Work-family conflicts and daytime sleepiness are related to the risk of suicide.At present,no study has investigated the relationship between nurses’work-family behavioral role conflict and suicide risk.Mo...BACKGROUND Work-family conflicts and daytime sleepiness are related to the risk of suicide.At present,no study has investigated the relationship between nurses’work-family behavioral role conflict and suicide risk.Moreover,it has not been confirmed whether,considering the effect of daytime sleepiness on suicide risk,daytime sleepiness mediates the effect of work-family behavioral role conflict and suicide risk.AIM To explore the pathway relationships among nurses'work-family behavioral role conflict,daytime sleepiness,and suicide risk.METHODS Convenience and purposive sampling methods were used to select 750 nurses from six provinces,including Jiangxi,Sichuan,and Shanxi.The work-family behavioral role conflict scale,the Chinese adult daytime sleepiness scale,and the suicide behavior questionnaire were used for the survey.The data were statistically analyzed via SPSS 25.0 software,Pearson correlation analysis was used to explore the correlations between the variables,the PROCESS 4.0 program was used for the mediation effect analysis,and the mediation effect model was tested via the bootstrap method.RESULTS Nurses'work-family behavioral role conflict and daytime sleepiness were positively correlated with suicide risk(r=734,0.717).Work-family behavioral role conflict positively predicted suicide risk(β=0.118),and daytime sleepiness positively predicted suicide risk(β=0.152).Daytime sleepiness partially mediated the role of nurses'work-family behavioral role conflict and suicide risk,with a mediation effect value of 0.046 and a mediation effect accounting for 38.98%.CONCLUSION The results of the Pearson correlation analysis and mediation effect analysis revealed that nurses'work-family behavioral role conflict has a direct effect on suicide risk and indirectly affects suicide risk through daytime drowsiness symptoms.展开更多

In this letter,we comment on the article by Xuan Yuan et al,published in the recent issue of the World Journal of Gastroenterology.Mixed lineage kinase domainlike protein(MLKL)exhibits cell-type-specific functions in ...In this letter,we comment on the article by Xuan Yuan et al,published in the recent issue of the World Journal of Gastroenterology.Mixed lineage kinase domainlike protein(MLKL)exhibits cell-type-specific functions in liver parenchymal and non-parenchymal cells,playing dual roles in the pathogenesis of liver diseases.In hepatocytes,MLKL primarily mediates necroptosis and inhibits autophagy,thereby exacerbating liver injury.Conversely,in non-parenchymal liver cells,MLKL modulates inflammatory responses and promotes fibrotic processes,thereby driving disease progression.Notably,MLKL also demonstrates protective functions under specific conditions.For instance,MLKL can inhibit intracellular bacterial replication,promote endosomal trafficking,and facilitate the generation and release of extracellular vesicles,potentially exerting hepatoprotective effects.Understanding these cell-type-specific mechanisms of MLKL action,including its dual roles in promoting injury and providing protection,is crucial for elucidating the complex pathogenesis of liver diseases and developing targeted therapeutic strategies.展开更多
This study examines the predictive roles of foreign language classroom anxiety(FLCA),foreign language enjoyment(FLE),and foreign language boredom(FLB)in English achievement among Chinese senior high school students.De...This study examines the predictive roles of foreign language classroom anxiety(FLCA),foreign language enjoyment(FLE),and foreign language boredom(FLB)in English achievement among Chinese senior high school students.Despite extensive research on anxiety in language learning,less attention has been given to boredom,and the combined effects of these three emotions on English achievement remain under-explored,particularly among high school students in China.To address these gaps,a sample of 142 students from Guangzhou was surveyed using questionnaires to assess their emotional experiences and English achievement.The research found that FLE exhibited a positive correlation with academic performance,while FLCA and FLB showed negative associations.Notably,FLE was the most significant predictor of English achievement,followed by FLCA and FLB.Gender differences were observed,with male students reporting significantly higher levels of environmental enjoyment,while female students experienced significantly greater communication anxiety.On this basis,this paper offers suggestions on how to enhance senior high school students’FLE while mitigating FLCA and FLB,thereby promoting more effective and sustained English learning.展开更多
This manuscript provides a commentary on the article by Zhang et al.Patients with heart and pulmonary failure who do not respond to standard treatment may benefit from extracorporeal membrane oxygenation(ECMO)support....This manuscript provides a commentary on the article by Zhang et al.Patients with heart and pulmonary failure who do not respond to standard treatment may benefit from extracorporeal membrane oxygenation(ECMO)support.Advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology(AHFTC)teams play an essential role in managing patients in cardiogenic shock.To determine whether ECMO patient management outcomes differ based on whether AHFTC physicians assume a direct or consultative role,a retrospective cohort study of 51 patients placed on veno-venous and veno-arterial(VA)ECMO between January 2015 and February 2023 was conducted.Results demonstrated a significantly higher 30-day postdischarge survival rate in the AHFTC direct involvement cohort compared to the consultative group(67%vs 30%)for all ECMO patients.This survival benefit was primarily attributable to VA ECMO patients(64%vs 20%).Direct involvement of AHFTC teams in patient selection and management may enhance survival in patients requiring VA ECMO for cardiogenic shock;however,further research is necessary to confirm these findings.展开更多

This study investigated the relationship between parental cognitive ability and child logical reasoning ability,and the role of academic expectation and family environment in that relationship.Based on the 2020 China ...This study investigated the relationship between parental cognitive ability and child logical reasoning ability,and the role of academic expectation and family environment in that relationship.Based on the 2020 China Family Panel Studies(CFPS)data,1491 children(girls ratio=53.78%;average grade=6.023 years,school grade standard deviation=1.825 years).Results following multiple regression model(OLS)show that the higher the parental cognitive ability,the higher the children’s logical reasoning ability.Secondly,parental academic expectation serves as a mediator between their cognitive ability and children’s logical reasoning ability for higher logical reasoning by children.Third,a possible family environment acts as a mediator in the relationship between parents’cognitive ability and children’s logical reasoning ability to be higher.We conclude from thesefindings that parents with high cognitive abilities can enhance their children’s logical reasoning skills not only by setting higher academic expectations,but also by cultivating a supportive family environment.Thesefindings imply a need for intervention to improve family quality of life to enhance children’s thinking abilities to optimize their academic learning.展开更多

A real-time adaptive roles allocation method based on reinforcement learning is proposed to improve humanrobot cooperation performance for a curtain wall installation task.This method breaks the traditional idea that ...A real-time adaptive roles allocation method based on reinforcement learning is proposed to improve humanrobot cooperation performance for a curtain wall installation task.This method breaks the traditional idea that the robot is regarded as the follower or only adjusts the leader and the follower in cooperation.In this paper,a self-learning method is proposed which can dynamically adapt and continuously adjust the initiative weight of the robot according to the change of the task.Firstly,the physical human-robot cooperation model,including the role factor is built.Then,a reinforcement learningmodel that can adjust the role factor in real time is established,and a reward and actionmodel is designed.The role factor can be adjusted continuously according to the comprehensive performance of the human-robot interaction force and the robot’s Jerk during the repeated installation.Finally,the roles adjustment rule established above continuously improves the comprehensive performance.Experiments of the dynamic roles allocation and the effect of the performance weighting coefficient on the result have been verified.The results show that the proposed method can realize the role adaptation and achieve the dual optimization goal of reducing the sum of the cooperator force and the robot’s Jerk.展开更多
Although metal oxide-zeolite hybrid materials have long been known to achieve enhanced catalytic activity and selectivity in NO_(x)removal reactions through the inter-particle diffusion of intermediate species,their s...Although metal oxide-zeolite hybrid materials have long been known to achieve enhanced catalytic activity and selectivity in NO_(x)removal reactions through the inter-particle diffusion of intermediate species,their subsequent reaction mechanism on acid sites is still unclear and requires investigation.In this study,the distribution of Brønsted/Lewis acid sites in the hybrid materials was precisely adjusted by introducing potassium ions,which not only selectively bind to Brønsted acid sites but also potentially affect the formation and diffusion of activated NO species.Systematic in situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy analyses coupled with selective catalytic reduction of NO_(x)with NH_(3)(NH_(3)-SCR)reaction demonstrate that the Lewis acid sites over MnO_(x)are more active for NO reduction but have lower selectivity to N_(2)than Brønsted acids sites.Brønsted acid sites primarily produce N_(2),whereas Lewis acid sites primarily produce N_(2)O,contributing to unfavorable N_(2)selectivity.The Brønsted acid sites present in Y zeolite,which are stronger than those on MnO_(x),accelerate the NH_(3)-SCR reaction in which the nitrite/nitrate species diffused from the MnO_(x)particles rapidly convert into the N_(2).Therefore,it is important to design the catalyst so that the activated NO species formed in MnO_(x)diffuse to and are selectively decomposed on the Brønsted acid sites of H-Y zeolite rather than that of MnO_(x)particle.For the physically mixed H-MnO_(x)+H-Y sample,the abundant Brønsted/Lewis acid sites in H-MnO_(x)give rise to significant consumption of activated NO species before their inter-particle diffusion,thereby hindering the enhancement of the synergistic effects.Furthermore,we found that the intercalated K+in K-MnO_(x)has an unexpected favorable role in the NO reduction rate,probably owing to faster diffusion of the activated NO species on K-MnO_(x)than H-MnO_(x).This study will help to design promising metal oxide-zeolite hybrid catalysts by identifying the role of the acid sites in two different constituents.展开更多
As the two most principal active substances in the corn silk,polysaccharides and flavonoids,the mechanism of interaction between them has been a topic of intense research.This study provides an in-depth investigation ...As the two most principal active substances in the corn silk,polysaccharides and flavonoids,the mechanism of interaction between them has been a topic of intense research.This study provides an in-depth investigation of the interaction mechanism between corn silk glycans and luteoloside(LUT)and the synergistic role that result from this interaction.The interaction mechanism was evaluated by isothermal titration calorimetry(ITC)and circular dichroism(CD),and the synergistic role was evaluated by the expression of glucose transporters(GLUT-1),insulin secretion and surface plasmon resonance(SPR).CD and ITC results indicated that the interaction between CSGs and LUT mainly driven by the Cotton effects,enthalpy and entropy-driven.This interaction precipitated the formation of complexes(CSGs/LUT complexes)between corn silk glycans(CSGs)with four different molecular weights and luteoloside(LUT).Furthermore,the CSGs and LUT play a synergistic role in glucose regulation through GLUT-1 expression and insulin secretion experiments,compared to single luteoloside group.展开更多

文摘In this letter,we comment on the article by Xuan Yuan et al,published in the recent issue of the World Journal of Gastroenterology.Mixed lineage kinase domainlike protein(MLKL)exhibits cell-type-specific functions in liver parenchymal and non-parenchymal cells,playing dual roles in the pathogenesis of liver diseases.In hepatocytes,MLKL primarily mediates necroptosis and inhibits autophagy,thereby exacerbating liver injury.Conversely,in non-parenchymal liver cells,MLKL modulates inflammatory responses and promotes fibrotic processes,thereby driving disease progression.Notably,MLKL also demonstrates protective functions under specific conditions.For instance,MLKL can inhibit intracellular bacterial replication,promote endosomal trafficking,and facilitate the generation and release of extracellular vesicles,potentially exerting hepatoprotective effects.Understanding these cell-type-specific mechanisms of MLKL action,including its dual roles in promoting injury and providing protection,is crucial for elucidating the complex pathogenesis of liver diseases and developing targeted therapeutic strategies.
文摘This study examines the predictive roles of foreign language classroom anxiety(FLCA),foreign language enjoyment(FLE),and foreign language boredom(FLB)in English achievement among Chinese senior high school students.Despite extensive research on anxiety in language learning,less attention has been given to boredom,and the combined effects of these three emotions on English achievement remain under-explored,particularly among high school students in China.To address these gaps,a sample of 142 students from Guangzhou was surveyed using questionnaires to assess their emotional experiences and English achievement.The research found that FLE exhibited a positive correlation with academic performance,while FLCA and FLB showed negative associations.Notably,FLE was the most significant predictor of English achievement,followed by FLCA and FLB.Gender differences were observed,with male students reporting significantly higher levels of environmental enjoyment,while female students experienced significantly greater communication anxiety.On this basis,this paper offers suggestions on how to enhance senior high school students’FLE while mitigating FLCA and FLB,thereby promoting more effective and sustained English learning.
文摘This manuscript provides a commentary on the article by Zhang et al.Patients with heart and pulmonary failure who do not respond to standard treatment may benefit from extracorporeal membrane oxygenation(ECMO)support.Advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology(AHFTC)teams play an essential role in managing patients in cardiogenic shock.To determine whether ECMO patient management outcomes differ based on whether AHFTC physicians assume a direct or consultative role,a retrospective cohort study of 51 patients placed on veno-venous and veno-arterial(VA)ECMO between January 2015 and February 2023 was conducted.Results demonstrated a significantly higher 30-day postdischarge survival rate in the AHFTC direct involvement cohort compared to the consultative group(67%vs 30%)for all ECMO patients.This survival benefit was primarily attributable to VA ECMO patients(64%vs 20%).Direct involvement of AHFTC teams in patient selection and management may enhance survival in patients requiring VA ECMO for cardiogenic shock;however,further research is necessary to confirm these findings.

文摘The Asia-Pacific region is the most dynamic part of the global economy.After over 50 years of continuously expanding trade,investment and industrial cooperation,the region has formed a highly-tied multi-level labor division system covering vertical integration and horizontal complementarity of industrial chains.From the V-shaped development model in the twentieth century to the East Asian production network in the twenty-first century,the intra-industry and intra-product division of labor in the Asia-Pacific region has been ever deepening.However,due to the region’s high dependence on the U.S.market,the division of labor model in the Asia-Pacific suffers structural problems and is relatively fragile.Under the shock of Trump 1.0,countries in the Asia-Pacific region were forced to make adaptive adjustments,causing short-term turmoil in the regional economic order.Trump’s strong return in 2025,driven by the“America First”principle,brought forth a series of policies with strong unilateralism,isolationism and protectionism tendencies within just a few months。

文摘This study investigated the relationship between parental cognitive ability and child logical reasoning ability,and the role of academic expectation and family environment in that relationship.Based on the 2020 China Family Panel Studies(CFPS)data,1491 children(girls ratio=53.78%;average grade=6.023 years,school grade standard deviation=1.825 years).Results following multiple regression model(OLS)show that the higher the parental cognitive ability,the higher the children’s logical reasoning ability.Secondly,parental academic expectation serves as a mediator between their cognitive ability and children’s logical reasoning ability for higher logical reasoning by children.Third,a possible family environment acts as a mediator in the relationship between parents’cognitive ability and children’s logical reasoning ability to be higher.We conclude from thesefindings that parents with high cognitive abilities can enhance their children’s logical reasoning skills not only by setting higher academic expectations,but also by cultivating a supportive family environment.Thesefindings imply a need for intervention to improve family quality of life to enhance children’s thinking abilities to optimize their academic learning.
文摘Grounded in educational ecology and constructivist theory,this study examines the challenges and opportunities faced by English teachers in the Gene AI era.While Gene AI is efficient in surface-level tasks,it has limitations in cultural interpretation,ethical guidance,and metacognitive development.The paper proposes a tripartite framework for role transformation:cognitive reframing,pedagogical innovation,and ethical repositioning to help tackle the problem of functional substitution anxiety due to AI’s encroachment on traditional roles.The study concludes that English teachers must evolve into“intelligent curators”who can synergize AI’s technical prowess with human wisdom,prioritizing holistic human development over skill acquisition.

文摘A real-time adaptive roles allocation method based on reinforcement learning is proposed to improve humanrobot cooperation performance for a curtain wall installation task.This method breaks the traditional idea that the robot is regarded as the follower or only adjusts the leader and the follower in cooperation.In this paper,a self-learning method is proposed which can dynamically adapt and continuously adjust the initiative weight of the robot according to the change of the task.Firstly,the physical human-robot cooperation model,including the role factor is built.Then,a reinforcement learningmodel that can adjust the role factor in real time is established,and a reward and actionmodel is designed.The role factor can be adjusted continuously according to the comprehensive performance of the human-robot interaction force and the robot’s Jerk during the repeated installation.Finally,the roles adjustment rule established above continuously improves the comprehensive performance.Experiments of the dynamic roles allocation and the effect of the performance weighting coefficient on the result have been verified.The results show that the proposed method can realize the role adaptation and achieve the dual optimization goal of reducing the sum of the cooperator force and the robot’s Jerk.
文摘Although metal oxide-zeolite hybrid materials have long been known to achieve enhanced catalytic activity and selectivity in NO_(x)removal reactions through the inter-particle diffusion of intermediate species,their subsequent reaction mechanism on acid sites is still unclear and requires investigation.In this study,the distribution of Brønsted/Lewis acid sites in the hybrid materials was precisely adjusted by introducing potassium ions,which not only selectively bind to Brønsted acid sites but also potentially affect the formation and diffusion of activated NO species.Systematic in situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy analyses coupled with selective catalytic reduction of NO_(x)with NH_(3)(NH_(3)-SCR)reaction demonstrate that the Lewis acid sites over MnO_(x)are more active for NO reduction but have lower selectivity to N_(2)than Brønsted acids sites.Brønsted acid sites primarily produce N_(2),whereas Lewis acid sites primarily produce N_(2)O,contributing to unfavorable N_(2)selectivity.The Brønsted acid sites present in Y zeolite,which are stronger than those on MnO_(x),accelerate the NH_(3)-SCR reaction in which the nitrite/nitrate species diffused from the MnO_(x)particles rapidly convert into the N_(2).Therefore,it is important to design the catalyst so that the activated NO species formed in MnO_(x)diffuse to and are selectively decomposed on the Brønsted acid sites of H-Y zeolite rather than that of MnO_(x)particle.For the physically mixed H-MnO_(x)+H-Y sample,the abundant Brønsted/Lewis acid sites in H-MnO_(x)give rise to significant consumption of activated NO species before their inter-particle diffusion,thereby hindering the enhancement of the synergistic effects.Furthermore,we found that the intercalated K+in K-MnO_(x)has an unexpected favorable role in the NO reduction rate,probably owing to faster diffusion of the activated NO species on K-MnO_(x)than H-MnO_(x).This study will help to design promising metal oxide-zeolite hybrid catalysts by identifying the role of the acid sites in two different constituents.

文摘As the two most principal active substances in the corn silk,polysaccharides and flavonoids,the mechanism of interaction between them has been a topic of intense research.This study provides an in-depth investigation of the interaction mechanism between corn silk glycans and luteoloside(LUT)and the synergistic role that result from this interaction.The interaction mechanism was evaluated by isothermal titration calorimetry(ITC)and circular dichroism(CD),and the synergistic role was evaluated by the expression of glucose transporters(GLUT-1),insulin secretion and surface plasmon resonance(SPR).CD and ITC results indicated that the interaction between CSGs and LUT mainly driven by the Cotton effects,enthalpy and entropy-driven.This interaction precipitated the formation of complexes(CSGs/LUT complexes)between corn silk glycans(CSGs)with four different molecular weights and luteoloside(LUT).Furthermore,the CSGs and LUT play a synergistic role in glucose regulation through GLUT-1 expression and insulin secretion experiments,compared to single luteoloside group.
