Objective:This study aimed to explore the clinical effect of acupuncture therapy for menstruation regu-lation and pregnancy promotion on thin endometrium in the real world.Design:This study is a single-center pragmati...Objective:This study aimed to explore the clinical effect of acupuncture therapy for menstruation regu-lation and pregnancy promotion on thin endometrium in the real world.Design:This study is a single-center pragmatic randomized controlled trial blinded to the statisticians.Using the“blockrand”software package,based on the age(≥35,<35),37 patients were randomized into an intervention group(19 cases)and a control group(18 cases).After reassignment regarding patient preference,21 patients were included in the intervention group and 16 in the control group.Setting:The trial was executed in the Specialty Outpatient Clinic,Acupuncture-Moxibustion Hospital of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences,from March 1,2019,to September 30,2020.Participants:The study included 37 patients with thin endometrium and without previous acupuncture treatment.Intervention:The intervention group was administered acupuncture for menstruation regulation and pregnancy promotion and a small-dose of progynova(2 mg daily),while the control group was adminis-tered a large-dose of progynova(4 mg daily).Interventions started from Day 5 of menstruation until the end of ovulation under B-ultrasound monitoring.The intervention lasted for three menstrual cycles.Measurements:Primary outcomes were changes in endometrial thickness between baseline and after intervention completion and the difference between the two groups after intervention.The secondary outcomes were endometrial and subendometrial blood flow,serum estradiol levels,menstrual conditions,and adverse reactions.Results:(1)Comparison of each indicator before and after intervention completion in the two groups:in the intervention group,the differences were significant in endometrial thickness,menstrual score,estra-diol(E2)level in ovulatory period,the pulsatility index(PI)and resistance index(RI)of uterine artery,the ratio of peak systolic velocity to end-diastolic velocity(S/D),the endometrial vascular index(VI),flow index(FI),and vascular flow index(VFI)and volume(P<0.01).In the control group,significant changes were observed in endometrial thickness,menstrual score,and E2 before and after the interven-tion(P<0.05),and no differences were observed in uterine artery PI,RI,S/D and endometrial VI,FI,VFI,and volume(P>0.05).Compared with the control group,the intervention group showed significant differences in endometrial thickness,menstrual score,E2,uterine artery PI,RI,S/D,and endometrial VI,FI,VFI,and volume after intervention(P<0.01).No adverse reactions were reported in the intervention group.In contrast,the control group had two cases of nausea and gastrointestinal discomfort after med-ication,eight cases of breast distention during medication,and one case of breast nodules enlarged by 1 cm after trial completion.展开更多

The unique varietal characteristics of SPR are pigmented, glutinous, good-yie...Special Purpose Rice (SPR) is a technology that consists of different rice varieties that were developed by Central Luzon State University. The unique varietal characteristics of SPR are pigmented, glutinous, good-yielding varieties planted in lowland areas. This study was conducted to increase farmers’ income through employing different promotion and extension activities and enterprise development. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Cost and return and benefit-cost analysis were used to determine the financial benefits of using the SPR in different production systems. Results revealed that incorporating the following parameters is critical in the sustainable adoption of the SPR. Amongst them are: ensuring that recommended production technologies are strictly followed by the farmers, ensuring the quality of seeds for planting, the presence of a market for the produce, engaging the farmers in value-adding activities like processing, capability development in entrepreneurship, and adopting clustering approach of the farmers to address economies of scale in marketing and processing. The use of SPR produced an average yield of 6.11 MT/ha and 5.04 MT/ha during the dry and wet seasons from 2021-2023, respectively, higher than the usual varieties of inbred rice. The net benefit from producing a CLS-2 variety of SPR is higher than regular rice, having an average difference of Php 22,355.53 per hectare from 2021-2023.展开更多

Alcohols are often used as scavengers to identify the contribution of radicals for contaminant degradation in heterogeneous catalysis.The generation of alcohol radicals is often overlooked,leading to misinterpretation...Alcohols are often used as scavengers to identify the contribution of radicals for contaminant degradation in heterogeneous catalysis.The generation of alcohol radicals is often overlooked,leading to misinterpretation of degradation mechanisms and alcohol's role.Herein,a series of bismuth oxybromide(Bi OBr)with varying amounts of active species was synthesized as representative catalysts to elucidate the role of alcohols in heterogeneous catalysis.Among various alcohols,isopropanol(IPA)was found to significantly enhance the photocatalytic degradation of carbamazepine(CBZ)by Bi OBr.Electron paramagnetic resonance results confirmed that IPA was oxidized to alcohol radicals by Bi OBr.The promotional effect of IPA was due to the generation of H2O2through the reaction between alcohol radicals and dissolved oxygen.H2O2subsequently led to the production of superoxide anion,the dominant radical in CBZ degradation.The promotional effect was also observed with other alcohols.The bond dissociation energy of the C-H bond adjacent to the hydroxyl group in alcohols determined the extent of promotion,while other characteristics such as the number of hydroxyl groups did not.Higher bond dissociation energy corresponded to a greater promotional effect.This study clarifies the inconsistent observations resulting from the use of various alcohols in heterogeneous catalysis and provides new insights into the overlooked role of alcohols.展开更多

Microorganisms inhabiting soils contaminated with heavy metals produce melanin,a dark brown pigment,as a survival strategy.In this study,a melanin-producing bacterium,Acinetobacter sp.ME1,with heavy metal tolerance an...Microorganisms inhabiting soils contaminated with heavy metals produce melanin,a dark brown pigment,as a survival strategy.In this study,a melanin-producing bacterium,Acinetobacter sp.ME1,with heavy metal tolerance and plant growth-promoting traits,was isolated from abandoned mine soil.Strain ME1 exhibited growth at concentrations of Zn up to 250 mg/L,Cd and Pb up to 100 mg/L,and Cr up to 50 mg/L.It had the ability to produce the plant hormone indole-3-acetic acid and siderophores along with 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid deaminase and protease activities.Additionally,it showed antioxidant activity,including catalase and 2,2-diphenyl-1-picryhydrazyl(DPPH)scavenging activities.The optimal conditions for melanin production by ME1 were a pH of 7 and a temperature of 35℃.At 1000 mg/L,ME1-extracted melanin exhibited DPPH radical scavenging activity of(25.040±0.007)%,a sun protection factor of 15.200±0.260,and 19.6%antibacterial activity against the plant pathogen Xanthomonas campestris.Furthermore,its adsorption capacity was(0.235±0.073)mg/g melanin for Zn and(0.277±0.008)mg/g melanin for Ni.In plants of Brassica chinensis grown under conditions of hydroponic cultivation with single heavy metal contamination of Cd,Zn,Pb,or Cr,the removal efficiency of each heavy metal was improved by 0.1–1.8 times after 3 d following inoculation with the strain ME1 compared to the plants grown under the same conditions without inoculation.In addition,ME1 inoculation improved the removal efficiency of each heavy metal by 0.1–1.0 times under multiple heavy metal contamination conditions.These findings suggest that Acinetobacter sp.ME1 could be used to enhance phytoremediation efficiency in heavy metal-contaminated soils.Moreover,the melanin it produces also holds promise in cosmetics,household products,and medical applications due to its photoprotective,antioxidant,and antimicrobial properties.展开更多

Background:Communication barriers are a critical yet underexplored determinant of psychological well-being in oncology care,particularly among rural Chinese patients treated in urban hospitals.This study examined how ...Background:Communication barriers are a critical yet underexplored determinant of psychological well-being in oncology care,particularly among rural Chinese patients treated in urban hospitals.This study examined how Mandarin proficiency influences emotional distress and identified implications for mental health promotion.Methods:A sequential mixed-methods design was adopted.Quantitative data were collected from 180 rural cancer patients using the Putonghua Proficiency Test(PSC),the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale(HADS),and the Distress Thermometer(DT).Multiple linear regressions estimated covariate-adjusted associations between Mandarin proficiency and distress outcomes,controlling for demographic and clinical factors.Semi-structured interviews with 20 patients explored communication experiences and psychosocial impacts.Quantitative and qualitative findings were integrated for triangulated interpretation.Results:Lower Mandarin proficiency was significantly associated with higher anxiety(β=−0.30,p=0.001),depression(β=−0.25,p=0.01),and distress(β=−0.28,p=0.003),with an adjusted R^(2)=0.18(F=7.4,p<0.001).Each 10-point increase in PSC corresponded to a 0.5-point reduction in DT score(B=−0.05,p=0.003).Qualitative themes revealed confusion,stigma,isolation,and reliance on family interpreters,confirming that linguistic inequity functions as an independent psychosocial stressor in oncology care.Conclusion:Language barriers significantly heighten distress among rural Chinese cancer patients.Addressing these barriers through interpreter services,culturally responsive staff training,and inclusive educational materials should be recognized as a core strategy for mental health promotion and equitable cancer care.展开更多
The exopolysaccharide matrix of diazotrophic cyanobacteria was used to integrate phosphorus(P)and potassium(K)solubilizing bacteria,enhancing the survival of plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria,and ultimately the sur...The exopolysaccharide matrix of diazotrophic cyanobacteria was used to integrate phosphorus(P)and potassium(K)solubilizing bacteria,enhancing the survival of plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria,and ultimately the survival of bacteria in the rhizosphere for better plant growth.A new biofilm-based formulation comprising the diazotrophic cyanobacteria Anabaena AMP2,P-solubilizing Bacillus megaterium var.phosphaticum PB1,and K-solubilizing Rhizobium pusense KRBKKM1 was tested for efficacy in rice.The growth medium with half-strength BG-11 medium supplemented with 3%glucose showed best for biofilm formation under in vitro conditions.Analysis of the methanolic extract of the cyanobacterial-bacterial biofilm(CBB)showed the activity of antioxidants,such as 2-methoxy phenol and pentadecane,which are proven to improve plant-microbe interactions and plant growth,respectively.Treatment of rice seeds with CBB extract at 100 mL/kg or 200 mL/kg showed significant enhancement in germination rate and seedling length.Therefore,a pot culture experiment with the CBB formulations was carried out,and different growth and yield parameters were recorded.Principal component analysis showed that plant growth,yield,soil dehydrogenase activity,and soil chlorophyll content were positively correlated with rice plants amended with vermiculite-based CBB at 2 kg/hm^(2) followed by a spray with aqueous CBB formulation at 5 mL/L at 15 and 30 d after rice transplanting grown with a 25%reduced level of nitrogen/phosphorus/potassium chemical fertilizers than the recommended dose.Further,Pearson correlation analysis showed that yield was positively correlated with soil dehydrogenase(r=0.92**)and soil chlorophyll content(r=0.96**).We concluded that CBB could be used as a novel biofilm-based bio-inoculant to increase rice productivity and crop fitness as a component in integrated nutrient management and sustainable organic farming strategies with reduced chemical fertilizers.展开更多

文摘Objective:This study aimed to explore the clinical effect of acupuncture therapy for menstruation regu-lation and pregnancy promotion on thin endometrium in the real world.Design:This study is a single-center pragmatic randomized controlled trial blinded to the statisticians.Using the“blockrand”software package,based on the age(≥35,<35),37 patients were randomized into an intervention group(19 cases)and a control group(18 cases).After reassignment regarding patient preference,21 patients were included in the intervention group and 16 in the control group.Setting:The trial was executed in the Specialty Outpatient Clinic,Acupuncture-Moxibustion Hospital of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences,from March 1,2019,to September 30,2020.Participants:The study included 37 patients with thin endometrium and without previous acupuncture treatment.Intervention:The intervention group was administered acupuncture for menstruation regulation and pregnancy promotion and a small-dose of progynova(2 mg daily),while the control group was adminis-tered a large-dose of progynova(4 mg daily).Interventions started from Day 5 of menstruation until the end of ovulation under B-ultrasound monitoring.The intervention lasted for three menstrual cycles.Measurements:Primary outcomes were changes in endometrial thickness between baseline and after intervention completion and the difference between the two groups after intervention.The secondary outcomes were endometrial and subendometrial blood flow,serum estradiol levels,menstrual conditions,and adverse reactions.Results:(1)Comparison of each indicator before and after intervention completion in the two groups:in the intervention group,the differences were significant in endometrial thickness,menstrual score,estra-diol(E2)level in ovulatory period,the pulsatility index(PI)and resistance index(RI)of uterine artery,the ratio of peak systolic velocity to end-diastolic velocity(S/D),the endometrial vascular index(VI),flow index(FI),and vascular flow index(VFI)and volume(P<0.01).In the control group,significant changes were observed in endometrial thickness,menstrual score,and E2 before and after the interven-tion(P<0.05),and no differences were observed in uterine artery PI,RI,S/D and endometrial VI,FI,VFI,and volume(P>0.05).Compared with the control group,the intervention group showed significant differences in endometrial thickness,menstrual score,E2,uterine artery PI,RI,S/D,and endometrial VI,FI,VFI,and volume after intervention(P<0.01).No adverse reactions were reported in the intervention group.In contrast,the control group had two cases of nausea and gastrointestinal discomfort after med-ication,eight cases of breast distention during medication,and one case of breast nodules enlarged by 1 cm after trial completion.
文摘Special Purpose Rice (SPR) is a technology that consists of different rice varieties that were developed by Central Luzon State University. The unique varietal characteristics of SPR are pigmented, glutinous, good-yielding varieties planted in lowland areas. This study was conducted to increase farmers’ income through employing different promotion and extension activities and enterprise development. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Cost and return and benefit-cost analysis were used to determine the financial benefits of using the SPR in different production systems. Results revealed that incorporating the following parameters is critical in the sustainable adoption of the SPR. Amongst them are: ensuring that recommended production technologies are strictly followed by the farmers, ensuring the quality of seeds for planting, the presence of a market for the produce, engaging the farmers in value-adding activities like processing, capability development in entrepreneurship, and adopting clustering approach of the farmers to address economies of scale in marketing and processing. The use of SPR produced an average yield of 6.11 MT/ha and 5.04 MT/ha during the dry and wet seasons from 2021-2023, respectively, higher than the usual varieties of inbred rice. The net benefit from producing a CLS-2 variety of SPR is higher than regular rice, having an average difference of Php 22,355.53 per hectare from 2021-2023.
文摘This study explores a novel educational model of generative AI-empowered interdisciplinary project-based learning(PBL).By analyzing the current applications of generative AI technology in information technology curricula,it elucidates its advantages and operational mechanisms in interdisciplinary PBL.Combining case studies and empirical research,the investigation proposes implementation pathways and strategies for the generative AI-enhanced interdisciplinary PBL model,detailing specific applications across three phases:project preparation,implementation,and evaluation.The research demonstrates that generative AI-enabled interdisciplinary project-based learning can effectively enhance students’learning motivation,interdisciplinary thinking capabilities,and innovative competencies,providing new conceptual frameworks and practical approaches for educational model innovation.

文摘The“Opinions on Comprehensively Deepening Curriculum Reform to Fulfill the Fundamental Task of Strengthening Moral Education”,issued by China’s Ministry of Education in 2015,explicitly identified Project-Based Learning(PBL)as a key strategy for cultivating students’core competencies.Since then,PBL has been widely implemented as a pilot initiative in primary and secondary schools,gaining increasing influence.Analyzing the intellectual foundations of PBL research in China can offer valuable insights into its theoretical and practical dimensions.This study uses CiteSpace to examine 156 PBL-related articles from the CSSCI database,revealing that the knowledge base of PBL research is primarily built on two major domains.The first is the theoretical foundation,characterized by frequently cited literature focusing on the conceptual framework,educational value,interdisciplinary approaches,core competency cultivation,and instructional objectives of PBL.The second is empirical research,where highly cited studies include case analyses across K–12 settings,general high schools,and higher education institutions.Moving forward,future research on PBL should explore its meaning and value from a dual-subject and integrated perspective,expand case studies to include vocational education,and further promote the interdisciplinary development of core competencies through PBL.

文摘Based on the study of the Mechanical Design and Automation major and its relevance to teaching reform in higher education engineering programs,a project-based teaching model was introduced.This approach integrates teaching design,scheme argumentation,and the implementation of teaching activities with the project serving as the central framework.Course knowledge points are derived from the project topics,forming the foundation for a structured knowledge framework.The course content is modularized in alignment with the project design,enabling students to engage with professional courses on a module-by-module basis,guided by the project.Each course utilizes the project topic as a practical case,facilitating project-led teaching.A teaching system tailored to the research project is proposed,establishing a professional course structure closely linked to the project objectives.

文摘In an era defined by complex,interconnected challenges like climate change,pandemics,and resource depletion,the traditional siloed approach to science education is proving increasingly insufficient.Interdisciplinary project-based learning represents a promising path forward in science education,fostering integrated and holistic learning experiences that move beyond isolated subject learning.Grounded in philosophical ideas of holism,pragmatism,constructivism,and transcendentalism,this article presents a case project illustrating the practical application of interdisciplinary project-based learning.This project engages students in integrating concepts from biology,chemistry,earth science,engineering,and social studies.Through phased activities-research and planning,data collection,implementation,and presentation-students develop a decent understanding of real-world problems while fostering skills in collaboration,problem-solving,and a sense of civic responsibility.Additionally,strategies are proposed to navigate the challenges associated with implementing interdisciplinary project-based learning,including aligning projects with standards,investing in professional development,leveraging community resources,and building support from stakeholders.

文摘Alcohols are often used as scavengers to identify the contribution of radicals for contaminant degradation in heterogeneous catalysis.The generation of alcohol radicals is often overlooked,leading to misinterpretation of degradation mechanisms and alcohol's role.Herein,a series of bismuth oxybromide(Bi OBr)with varying amounts of active species was synthesized as representative catalysts to elucidate the role of alcohols in heterogeneous catalysis.Among various alcohols,isopropanol(IPA)was found to significantly enhance the photocatalytic degradation of carbamazepine(CBZ)by Bi OBr.Electron paramagnetic resonance results confirmed that IPA was oxidized to alcohol radicals by Bi OBr.The promotional effect of IPA was due to the generation of H2O2through the reaction between alcohol radicals and dissolved oxygen.H2O2subsequently led to the production of superoxide anion,the dominant radical in CBZ degradation.The promotional effect was also observed with other alcohols.The bond dissociation energy of the C-H bond adjacent to the hydroxyl group in alcohols determined the extent of promotion,while other characteristics such as the number of hydroxyl groups did not.Higher bond dissociation energy corresponded to a greater promotional effect.This study clarifies the inconsistent observations resulting from the use of various alcohols in heterogeneous catalysis and provides new insights into the overlooked role of alcohols.

文摘Drawing upon self-determination theory,this study examines the effects of vicarious abusive supervision on third-party’s self-efficacy and task performance within organizational contexts.Data were collected via surveys from 337 employees across diverse organizations.The results indicate that vicarious abusive supervision significantly undermines both self-efficacy and task performance among employees who are indirectly exposed to such behavior but not directly targeted.Furthermore,self-efficacy serves as a mediator between vicarious abusive supervision and task performance;however,this mediating effect is attenuated for employees with a high promotion focus.These findings provide valuable theoretical and practical insights,particularly in the domain of organizational behavior,by emphasizing the critical role of promotion focus in mitigating the negative effects of vicarious abusive supervision.This research contributes to the organizational behavior literature by shifting the focus from the traditional supervisor-subordinate dynamic to a third-party perspective,thereby enriching our understanding of how vicarious abusive supervision impacts employees within organizational settings.The study underscores the importance of self-efficacy and promotion focus as key factors in unethical leadership contexts.

文摘Under the background of accelerated global cultural exchange and information dissemination,reading has become a crucial component of public cultural services.Public libraries in Nordic countries(Denmark,Sweden,Norway,Finland,Iceland)stand out by adhering to the core philosophy of“universal sharing and equal reading”,integrating reading promotion into national strategies,and constructing extensive service networks through sound legal guarantees and adequate financial support.This study identifies four key strategies for universality and equality in Nordic public libraries:covering all age groups,eliminating group differences,integrating digital and physical resources,and ensuring the right to read through legislative,financial,and other institutional support.These provide a reference for global public cultural services.

文摘Microorganisms inhabiting soils contaminated with heavy metals produce melanin,a dark brown pigment,as a survival strategy.In this study,a melanin-producing bacterium,Acinetobacter sp.ME1,with heavy metal tolerance and plant growth-promoting traits,was isolated from abandoned mine soil.Strain ME1 exhibited growth at concentrations of Zn up to 250 mg/L,Cd and Pb up to 100 mg/L,and Cr up to 50 mg/L.It had the ability to produce the plant hormone indole-3-acetic acid and siderophores along with 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid deaminase and protease activities.Additionally,it showed antioxidant activity,including catalase and 2,2-diphenyl-1-picryhydrazyl(DPPH)scavenging activities.The optimal conditions for melanin production by ME1 were a pH of 7 and a temperature of 35℃.At 1000 mg/L,ME1-extracted melanin exhibited DPPH radical scavenging activity of(25.040±0.007)%,a sun protection factor of 15.200±0.260,and 19.6%antibacterial activity against the plant pathogen Xanthomonas campestris.Furthermore,its adsorption capacity was(0.235±0.073)mg/g melanin for Zn and(0.277±0.008)mg/g melanin for Ni.In plants of Brassica chinensis grown under conditions of hydroponic cultivation with single heavy metal contamination of Cd,Zn,Pb,or Cr,the removal efficiency of each heavy metal was improved by 0.1–1.8 times after 3 d following inoculation with the strain ME1 compared to the plants grown under the same conditions without inoculation.In addition,ME1 inoculation improved the removal efficiency of each heavy metal by 0.1–1.0 times under multiple heavy metal contamination conditions.These findings suggest that Acinetobacter sp.ME1 could be used to enhance phytoremediation efficiency in heavy metal-contaminated soils.Moreover,the melanin it produces also holds promise in cosmetics,household products,and medical applications due to its photoprotective,antioxidant,and antimicrobial properties.

文摘This study focuses on exploring the practical path of Micro Project-Based Learning from the perspective of integrated unit teaching,aiming to address the issue of integrating the Project Section with other sections in the new junior high school English textbook published by Shanghai Education Press.Based on two rounds of action research,a micro-project design framework is constructed,which includes“unit micro-project design”,“micro-project-based unit teaching”,“micro-project achievement display”,and“evaluation and reflection”.Practice shows that with the guidance of task lists and scaffolding support,this framework effectively promotes the integration of subject knowledge and the development of students’core competence,providing a transferable implementation paradigm for integrated unit teaching.

文摘Contemporary higher education prioritizes cultivating students’key competencies and comprehensive problem-solving abilities,specifically fostering innovation,goal orientation,and initiative.This study investigates a pedagogical framework that synergizes Research-Led Learning(RLL)and Project-Based Learning(PBL)to establish an open,exploratory learning environment.Employing a case study methodology,the research tracked architecture students engaging in a structured PBL process involving rigorous research activities—ranging from theoretical analysis to field investigations—to develop evidence-based design solutions.Evaluations from both student and faculty perspectives assessed the pedagogical effectiveness regarding learning outcomes and competency development.The findings indicate that this methodology effectively bridges the gap between research and practice,significantly bolstering students’capacity to address authentic challenges and propelling self-directed learning in architectural education.
文摘Background:Communication barriers are a critical yet underexplored determinant of psychological well-being in oncology care,particularly among rural Chinese patients treated in urban hospitals.This study examined how Mandarin proficiency influences emotional distress and identified implications for mental health promotion.Methods:A sequential mixed-methods design was adopted.Quantitative data were collected from 180 rural cancer patients using the Putonghua Proficiency Test(PSC),the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale(HADS),and the Distress Thermometer(DT).Multiple linear regressions estimated covariate-adjusted associations between Mandarin proficiency and distress outcomes,controlling for demographic and clinical factors.Semi-structured interviews with 20 patients explored communication experiences and psychosocial impacts.Quantitative and qualitative findings were integrated for triangulated interpretation.Results:Lower Mandarin proficiency was significantly associated with higher anxiety(β=−0.30,p=0.001),depression(β=−0.25,p=0.01),and distress(β=−0.28,p=0.003),with an adjusted R^(2)=0.18(F=7.4,p<0.001).Each 10-point increase in PSC corresponded to a 0.5-point reduction in DT score(B=−0.05,p=0.003).Qualitative themes revealed confusion,stigma,isolation,and reliance on family interpreters,confirming that linguistic inequity functions as an independent psychosocial stressor in oncology care.Conclusion:Language barriers significantly heighten distress among rural Chinese cancer patients.Addressing these barriers through interpreter services,culturally responsive staff training,and inclusive educational materials should be recognized as a core strategy for mental health promotion and equitable cancer care.

文摘The exopolysaccharide matrix of diazotrophic cyanobacteria was used to integrate phosphorus(P)and potassium(K)solubilizing bacteria,enhancing the survival of plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria,and ultimately the survival of bacteria in the rhizosphere for better plant growth.A new biofilm-based formulation comprising the diazotrophic cyanobacteria Anabaena AMP2,P-solubilizing Bacillus megaterium var.phosphaticum PB1,and K-solubilizing Rhizobium pusense KRBKKM1 was tested for efficacy in rice.The growth medium with half-strength BG-11 medium supplemented with 3%glucose showed best for biofilm formation under in vitro conditions.Analysis of the methanolic extract of the cyanobacterial-bacterial biofilm(CBB)showed the activity of antioxidants,such as 2-methoxy phenol and pentadecane,which are proven to improve plant-microbe interactions and plant growth,respectively.Treatment of rice seeds with CBB extract at 100 mL/kg or 200 mL/kg showed significant enhancement in germination rate and seedling length.Therefore,a pot culture experiment with the CBB formulations was carried out,and different growth and yield parameters were recorded.Principal component analysis showed that plant growth,yield,soil dehydrogenase activity,and soil chlorophyll content were positively correlated with rice plants amended with vermiculite-based CBB at 2 kg/hm^(2) followed by a spray with aqueous CBB formulation at 5 mL/L at 15 and 30 d after rice transplanting grown with a 25%reduced level of nitrogen/phosphorus/potassium chemical fertilizers than the recommended dose.Further,Pearson correlation analysis showed that yield was positively correlated with soil dehydrogenase(r=0.92**)and soil chlorophyll content(r=0.96**).We concluded that CBB could be used as a novel biofilm-based bio-inoculant to increase rice productivity and crop fitness as a component in integrated nutrient management and sustainable organic farming strategies with reduced chemical fertilizers.
