To improve the safety of construction workers and help workers remotely control humanoid robots in construc-tion,this study designs and implements a computer vision based virtual construction simulation system.For thi...To improve the safety of construction workers and help workers remotely control humanoid robots in construc-tion,this study designs and implements a computer vision based virtual construction simulation system.For this pur-pose,human skeleton motion data are collected using a Ki-nect depth camera,and the obtained data are optimized via abnormal data elimination,smoothing,and normalization.MediaPipe extracts three-dimensional hand motion coordi-nates for accurate human posture tracking.Blender is used to build a virtual worker and site model,and the virtual worker motion is controlled based on the quaternion inverse kinematics algorithm while limiting the joint angle to en-hance the authenticity of motion simulation.Experimental results show that the system frame rate is stable at 60 frame/s,end-to-end delay is less than 20 ms,and virtual task comple-tion time is close to the real scene,verifying its engineering applicability.The proposed system can drive virtual work-ers to perform tasks and provide technical support for con-struction safety training.展开更多
The shale gas development in China faces challenges such as complex reservoir conditions and high development costs.Based on the pore pressure and geostress coupling theory,this paper studies the geostress evolution l...The shale gas development in China faces challenges such as complex reservoir conditions and high development costs.Based on the pore pressure and geostress coupling theory,this paper studies the geostress evolution laws and fracture network characteristics of shale gas infill wells.A mechanism model of CN platform logging data and geomechanical parameters is established to simulate the influence of parent well’s production on the geostress in the infill well area.It is suggested that with the increase of production time,normal fault stress state and horizontal stress deflection will occur.The smaller the parent well spacing and the longer the production time,the earlier the normal fault stress state appears and the larger the range.Based on the model,the fracture network morphology and construction parameters of infill wells are optimized.parentparentparentparent The results indicate that:1:A well spacing of 500 m achieves a Pareto optimum between“full reserve coverage”and“stress barrier”;2:A parent well recovery degree of 30%corresponds to the critical point of stress reversal,where the lateral deflection rate of the infill fracture is less than 8%and the SRV loss is minimized;3:6-cluster intensive completion with twice the liquid intensity increases the fracture complexity index by 1.7 times,enhances well group EUR by 15.4%,and reduces single-well cost by 22%.This research fills the theoretical gap in the collaborative optimization of“multi-parameter,multi-objective and multi-constraint”and provide parameter optimization basis for shale gas infill well development in China and help to improve the development efficiency and economic benefits.展开更多

The mathematical logic model of high arch dam construction process was established. By combining dynamic construction simulation with schedule analysis, the process of construction schedule forecasting and analysis based on dynamic simulation was studied. The process of real-time schedule control was constructed and some measures for dynamic adjustment and control of construction schedule were provided. A system developed with the method is utilized in a being constructed hydroelectric project located at the Yellow River in northwest China, which can make the pouring plan of the dam in the next stage (a month, quarter or year) to guide the practical construction. The application result shows that the system provides an effective technical support for the construction and management of the dam.展开更多
Urban construction land has relatively high human activity and high carbon emissions.Research on urban construction land prediction under carbon peak and neutrality goals(hereafter“dual carbon”goals)is important for...Urban construction land has relatively high human activity and high carbon emissions.Research on urban construction land prediction under carbon peak and neutrality goals(hereafter“dual carbon”goals)is important for territorial spatial planning.This study analyzed quantitative relationships between carbon emissions and urban construction land,and then modified the construction land demand prediction model.Thereafter,an integrated model for urban construction land demand prediction and spatial pattern simulation under“dual carbon”goals was developed,where urban construction land suitability was modified based on carbon source and sink capacity of different land-use types.Using Guangzhou as a case study,the integrated model was validated and applied to simulate the spatiotemporal dynamics of its urban construction land during 2030–2060 under baseline development and“dual carbon”goals scenarios.The simulation results showed that Guangzhou’s urban construction land expanded rapidly until 2030,with the spatial pattern not showing an intensive development trend.Guangzhou’s urban construction land expansion slowed during 2030–2060,with an average annual growth rate of 0.2%,and a centralized spatial pattern trend.Under the“dual carbon”goal scenario,Guangzhou’s urban construction land evolved into a polycentric development pattern in 2030.Compared with the baseline development scenario,urban construction land expansion in Guangzhou during 2030–2060 is slower,with an average annual growth rate of only 0.1%,and the polycentric development pattern of urban construction land was more prominent.Furthermore,land maintenance and growth,that is,a carbon sink,is more obvious under the“dual carbon”goals scenario,with the forest land area nearly 10.6%higher than that under the baseline development scenario.The study of urban construction land demand prediction and spatial pattern simulation under“dual carbon”goals provides a scientific decision-making support tool for territorial spatial planning,aiding in quantifying territorial spatial planning.展开更多

Based on the results of finite element analysis, the stress contour graphs and displacement vector graphs at different construction steps were obtained, and the behavior of the slope during stabilization construction process was analyzed quantitatively. Based on the analysis of safety factors of three different schemes of stabilization and two different construction schemes, the assessment of stability and bracing design of the construction process were performed. The results show that the original reinforcement design is improper; the stability of the rock slope is controlled by a developed structural plane, the stability factor after excavation is less than 1, and the free surface should be braced in time; for stability, the construction sequence should adopt that bracing follows excavation step by step up to down; the local slide occurred during the construction process agrees with the dangerous slide determined by the numerical analysis, which proves the validity and rationality of the adopted method.展开更多

To solve this problem, we proposed an electro-controlled hydraulic driving fan cooling system (ECHDFCS). The system was applied to a 50-wheel loader. We carried out the coolant temperature simulation using fluid modeling software FLOWMASTER, followed by laboratory experiments and road tests. The results show that ECHDFCS can adjust the cooling capability of the system automatically based on machine heat dissipation requirements. The coolant temperature is consequently remained within an appropriate range. The simulation results are consistent with the experiment results when the experiment is performed on the plain, but are different from the road tests in some investigated parameters on the plateau.展开更多

This combination avoids the shortcomings of both models. Furthermore, geographic information system (GIS) technique is utilized to visualize the construction processes which are otherwise difficult to be understood by static results described. Based on the rock mass classification, this paper estimates the penetration rate. Using the rate, a cyclic network simulation (CYCLONE) model of TBM boring system is established, and the advance rates under different geological conditions are determined. Then, the impact of different cutter head thrust, which is chosen in reasonable range according to previous experiences, on pro- ject schedule is analyzed. Moreover, the simulation model of mucking system is built to determine the number of muck trains and rail intersections reasonably, regarding the efficiency of muck loading and material transporting. Based on the interaction and interrelation between TBM boring system and mucking system, the combined CY- CLONE model for the entire tunneling process is established. Then reasonable construction schedule, the utilization rate of working resources, and the probability of project completion are obtained through the model programming. At last, a project application shows the feasibility of the presented method.展开更多
The Riyadh metro project is one of the current megaprojects that aim to improve the transit systems in Saudi Arabia.It consists of several metro lines with a total length of 176 km and 85 stations.The viaducts are con...The Riyadh metro project is one of the current megaprojects that aim to improve the transit systems in Saudi Arabia.It consists of several metro lines with a total length of 176 km and 85 stations.The viaducts are considered as one of the main construction elements in the metro lines.Four methods for viaducts construction have been used in the Riyadh metro project:precast beam,full span launching method,cast on-site,and segment method(precast segment method and BCM(balanced cantilever method)).The viaducts work consumes a large portion of a project’s time and cost.Furthermore,the competitive nature of the construction industry increases the need to improve the efficiency of construction performance.Accordingly,this paper takes the initial steps toward increasing the efficiency of viaduct construction methods through simulation.Simulation of construction processes provides a systematic tool that can be used for determining the resources,time,and cost of these processes.The simulation processes should focus on the main activities affecting this element’s execution for viaducts construction,such as segment storage,handling,transporting,and installation.This study highlights the viaducts construction methods and develops general discrete-event simulation models for the most commonly used viaducts construction methods in the Riyadh metro using AnyLogic simulation software.The simulation models visualize and capture the interaction between the different activities and resources in a viaduct construction.Consequently,the construction drawbacks can be identified.Furthermore,the simulation model can be manipulated by adding assumptions to develop more efficient construction methods in terms of time and cost in such projects.展开更多

Results showed that material distribution of the simulated structure had good consistence with the real tire structure. Therefore,the tire building process simulation can be used to judge the rationality of tire construction design and to determine the shapes of different tire components. In order to optimize the construction design,a reverse simulation method was proposed to design the semi-product components such as apex,tread,and shoulder pad. The semi-product components determined by utilizing the reverse simulation method were assembled again into a tire. Results show that the simulated material distribution is consistent with the material distribution of design tire,which proves effectiveness and reliability of the reverse simulation method.展开更多

Many policymakers have recognized rural digitalization as an emerging strategy to improve farmers’well-being.However,in the context of China,whether digital village construction is an effective and long-term way to a...Many policymakers have recognized rural digitalization as an emerging strategy to improve farmers’well-being.However,in the context of China,whether digital village construction is an effective and long-term way to achieve farmers’common prosperity has not been thoroughly explored.This study aims to construct a theoretical analysis framework for the impact of digital village construction on farmers’common prosperity and provide new empirical evidence from dynamic and spatial perspectives.The results indicated that China’s digital village construction effectively promoted the farmers’common prosperity,and agricultural productive service and agricultural science and technology innovation are significant mediating mechanisms.However,it is not yet long-term,as the marginal effect of digital village construction is diminishing.The spatial spillover effect of digital village construction is also more obvious than its direct effect.Digital village construction consistently plays a stronger enabling role in the western region and provinces with better conditions for agriculture.The results suggest that digital village construction in China can effectively reduce regional disparities.But establishing a long-term driving mechanism for digital village construction on farmers’common prosperity is another novel and pressing task that requires urgent attention.展开更多

It is undeniable that they do achieve this goal by using the lowest cost in design phase to achieve maximum benefits. However, for pipelines, the cost and incomes of operation management are far greater than those in design phase. Therefore, the novelty of this paper is to propose an optimization model that considers the costs and incomes of the construction and operation phases, and combines them into one model. By comparing three optimization algorithms (genetic algorithm, quantum genetic algorithm and simulated annealing algorithm), the same optimization problem is solved. Then the most suitable algorithm is selected and the optimal solution is obtained, which provides reference for construction and operation management during the whole life cycle of pipelines.展开更多

Based on the results of finite element analysis, the stress contour graphs and displacement vector graphs at different construction steps were obtained, and the behavior of the slope during stabilization construction process was analyzed quantitatively. Based on the analysis of safety factors of three different schemes of stabilization and two different construction schemes, the assessment of stability and bracing design of the construction process were performed. The results show that the original reinforcement design is improper; the stability of the rock slope is controlled by a developed structural plane, the stability factor after excavation is less than 1, and the free surface should be braced in time; for stability, the construction sequence should adopt that bracing follows excavation step by step up to down; the local slide occurred during the construction process agrees with the dangerous slide determined by the numerical analysis, which proves the validity and rationality of the adopted method.

文摘Overheating of the engine, the transmission and the hydraulic device is a problem when the construction machinery works on plateau. To solve this problem, we proposed an electro-controlled hydraulic driving fan cooling system (ECHDFCS). The system was applied to a 50-wheel loader. We carried out the coolant temperature simulation using fluid modeling software FLOWMASTER, followed by laboratory experiments and road tests. The results show that ECHDFCS can adjust the cooling capability of the system automatically based on machine heat dissipation requirements. The coolant temperature is consequently remained within an appropriate range. The simulation results are consistent with the experiment results when the experiment is performed on the plain, but are different from the road tests in some investigated parameters on the plateau.

文摘For its complexity, engineering construction schedule design is limited by various factors.Simulation-based engineering construction schedule takes critical path method (CPM) network as frame and calls complex cyclic operation network (CYCLONE) simulation model enclosed in advance for its simulation nodes. CYCLONE simulation model takes charge of simulating stochastic duration of activity and efficiency of resources, while CPM model performs project scheduling. This combination avoids the shortcomings of both models. Furthermore, geographic information system (GIS) technique is utilized to visualize the construction processes which are otherwise difficult to be understood by static results described. Application in practical project verifies the feasibility and advantage of the technique.

文摘Under forced ventilation,the dust diffusion of underground powerhouse construction is investigated using a 3D high Reynolds number k-ε model.The interfacial momentum transfers and the wall roughness in the wall function are considered.Ventilation in the third layer of underground powerhouse of Xiangjiaba hydropower station is used as a case.The geometric structure has a decisive effect on the airflow distribution.It is concluded that the dust concentration decreases gradually with the increase of the ventilation time.However,iso-concentration curves have the same tendency after 1 800 s.The dust concentration meets the ventilation and dust-prevention health standard after 2 300 s.The prediction by the present model is confirmed by the experimental measurement by Nakayama.

文摘Long tunnel excavation with tunnel boring ily affected by uncertainties and needs to be adjusted machine (TBM) is a complex and stochastic process. It is eas- according to specific geological conditions in different tunnel sections, which makes the construction scheduling and management difficult. Based on the rock mass classification, this paper estimates the penetration rate. Using the rate, a cyclic network simulation (CYCLONE) model of TBM boring system is established, and the advance rates under different geological conditions are determined. Then, the impact of different cutter head thrust, which is chosen in reasonable range according to previous experiences, on pro- ject schedule is analyzed. Moreover, the simulation model of mucking system is built to determine the number of muck trains and rail intersections reasonably, regarding the efficiency of muck loading and material transporting. Based on the interaction and interrelation between TBM boring system and mucking system, the combined CY- CLONE model for the entire tunneling process is established. Then reasonable construction schedule, the utilization rate of working resources, and the probability of project completion are obtained through the model programming. At last, a project application shows the feasibility of the presented method.
文摘The Riyadh metro project is one of the current megaprojects that aim to improve the transit systems in Saudi Arabia.It consists of several metro lines with a total length of 176 km and 85 stations.The viaducts are considered as one of the main construction elements in the metro lines.Four methods for viaducts construction have been used in the Riyadh metro project:precast beam,full span launching method,cast on-site,and segment method(precast segment method and BCM(balanced cantilever method)).The viaducts work consumes a large portion of a project’s time and cost.Furthermore,the competitive nature of the construction industry increases the need to improve the efficiency of construction performance.Accordingly,this paper takes the initial steps toward increasing the efficiency of viaduct construction methods through simulation.Simulation of construction processes provides a systematic tool that can be used for determining the resources,time,and cost of these processes.The simulation processes should focus on the main activities affecting this element’s execution for viaducts construction,such as segment storage,handling,transporting,and installation.This study highlights the viaducts construction methods and develops general discrete-event simulation models for the most commonly used viaducts construction methods in the Riyadh metro using AnyLogic simulation software.The simulation models visualize and capture the interaction between the different activities and resources in a viaduct construction.Consequently,the construction drawbacks can be identified.Furthermore,the simulation model can be manipulated by adding assumptions to develop more efficient construction methods in terms of time and cost in such projects.

文摘The simulation of 295/80R22. 5 tire building process from tire building to curing was developed using ABAQUS software,which covered four stages: gluing of components on main drum,gluing of components on auxiliary drum,building process of green tire and shaping process of green tire. Results showed that material distribution of the simulated structure had good consistence with the real tire structure. Therefore,the tire building process simulation can be used to judge the rationality of tire construction design and to determine the shapes of different tire components. In order to optimize the construction design,a reverse simulation method was proposed to design the semi-product components such as apex,tread,and shoulder pad. The semi-product components determined by utilizing the reverse simulation method were assembled again into a tire. Results show that the simulated material distribution is consistent with the material distribution of design tire,which proves effectiveness and reliability of the reverse simulation method.

文摘In this paper, the characteristics of different forms of mild slope equations for non-linear wave are analyzed, and new non-linear theoretic models for wave propagation are presented, with non-linear terms added to the mild slope equations for non-stationary linear waves and dissipative effects considered. Numerical simulation models are developed of non-linear wave propagation for waters of mildly varying topography with complicated boundary, and the effects are studied of different non-linear corrections on calculation results of extended mild slope equations. Systematical numerical simulation tests show that the present models can effectively reflect non-linear effects.
文摘Based on the theory of continuum mechanics of multi-pbase media, a mathematical model and non-linear FEM equation of the coupling instability problem of solid-fluid biphase media for coal-methane outburst under finite deformation are established. The critical conditions of the surface instability are presented as the singularity of the total stiffness matrices of the coal body for coal-methaue outburst. That means the deformtion or the coal body emerges bifurcatiou phenomena. The numerical simulation of a typical outburst is made.

文摘Many policymakers have recognized rural digitalization as an emerging strategy to improve farmers’well-being.However,in the context of China,whether digital village construction is an effective and long-term way to achieve farmers’common prosperity has not been thoroughly explored.This study aims to construct a theoretical analysis framework for the impact of digital village construction on farmers’common prosperity and provide new empirical evidence from dynamic and spatial perspectives.The results indicated that China’s digital village construction effectively promoted the farmers’common prosperity,and agricultural productive service and agricultural science and technology innovation are significant mediating mechanisms.However,it is not yet long-term,as the marginal effect of digital village construction is diminishing.The spatial spillover effect of digital village construction is also more obvious than its direct effect.Digital village construction consistently plays a stronger enabling role in the western region and provinces with better conditions for agriculture.The results suggest that digital village construction in China can effectively reduce regional disparities.But establishing a long-term driving mechanism for digital village construction on farmers’common prosperity is another novel and pressing task that requires urgent attention.

文摘For the optimization of pipelines, most researchers are mainly concerned with designing the most reasonable section to meet the requirements of strength and stiffness, and at the same time reduce the cost as much as possible. It is undeniable that they do achieve this goal by using the lowest cost in design phase to achieve maximum benefits. However, for pipelines, the cost and incomes of operation management are far greater than those in design phase. Therefore, the novelty of this paper is to propose an optimization model that considers the costs and incomes of the construction and operation phases, and combines them into one model. By comparing three optimization algorithms (genetic algorithm, quantum genetic algorithm and simulated annealing algorithm), the same optimization problem is solved. Then the most suitable algorithm is selected and the optimal solution is obtained, which provides reference for construction and operation management during the whole life cycle of pipelines.
