With the increasing demand of recycling disposal of industrial wastewater,oil-in-water(O/W)emulsion has been paid much attention in recent years owing to its high oil con-tent.However,due to the presence of surfactant and salt,the emulsion was usually stable with complex physicochemical interfacial properties leading to increased processing diffi-culty.Herein,a novel flow-through electrode-based demulsification reactor(FEDR)was well designed for the treatment of saline O/W emulsion.In contrast to 53.7%for electrical demul-sification only and 80.3%for filtration only,the COD removal efficiency increased to 92.8%under FEDR system.Moreover,the pore size of electrode and the applied voltage were two key factors that governed the FEDR demulsification performance.By observing the mor-phology of oil droplets deposited layer after different operation conditions and the behavior of oil droplets at the electrode surface under different voltage conditions,the mechanism was proposed that the oil droplets first accumulated on the surface of flow-through elec-trode by sieving effect,subsequently the gathered oil droplets could further coalesce with the promoting effect of the anode,leading to a high-performing demulsification.This study offers an attractive option of using flow-through electrode to accomplish the oil recovery with simultaneous water purification. 展开更多

Magnetic particles were coupled with a flocculant to enhance the demulsification and separation of waste cutting emulsions.The optimal magnetic particle size and critical magnetic field conditions were investigated to achieve large-scale engineering application of magnetic demulsification separation for waste cutting emulsion treatment.The micro-scale magnetic particles were found to show comparable effects to nano-scale magnetic particles on enhancing the demulsification and separation of cutting emulsions,which are beneficial for broadening the selectivity of low-cost magnetic particles.The critical magnetic separation region was determined to be an area 40 mm from the magnetic field source.Compared to the flocculant demulsification,the magnetic demulsification separation exhibited a significant advantage in accelerating flocs-water separation by decreasing the separation time of flocs from 180-240 min to less than 15 min,compressing the flocs by reducing the floc volume ratio from 60%-90%to lower than 20%,and showing excellent adaptability to the variable properties of waste cutting emulsions.Coupled with the design of the magnetic disk separator,continuous demulsification separation of the waste cutting emulsion was achieved at 1.0 t/hr for at least 10 hr to obtain clear effluent with 81%chemical oxygen demand removal and 89%turbidity reduction.This study demonstrates the feasibility of applying magnetic demulsification separation to large-scale continuous treatment of waste emulsion.Moreover,it addresses the flocs-water separation problems that occur in practical flocculant demulsification engineering applications. 展开更多

Among the four kinds of natural fibers and two kinds of inorganic materials tested, natural fiber A, originated from wood shavings was found to give the best performance of demulsification. The demulsification efficiency can exceed 96.5% when demulsification conditions are optimized. The packed-column showed much better performance both in terms of demulsification efficiency and repeated use of the recovered oil phase for extracting cadmium in simulated wastewater. This system produces the distribution coefficients (KD) of 12.3 and 2.6 respectively for CPZ and PCN. A spectrophotometric approach for the detection of non-ionic surfactant (Triton X-100) has been proposed in this paper. This method does not involve extraction of the ion-associate with harmful solvents, but employs adhesion of the ion-association of potassium/non-ionic surfactants complex and tetraphenylporphyrin tetrasulfonic acid obtained by vigorous shaking. The adhered ion-associate was dissolved with water and its absorbance was measured. The sensitivity for Triton X-100 was determined to be 0.146 (expressed as absorbance of 1 mg/L solution). The adhesion tendency of ion-associate was found to be dependent on the water contact angle, which in turn was influenced by a high adhesion of the ion-associate and by low blank values. In this respect, a tetrafluo-roethylene vessel was found to be the most suitable for the detection of non-ionic surfactants. This spectrophotometrical method is simply and rapidly performed by a procedure based on mechanical shaking and can be employed to detect non-ionic surfactants containing more than 7 polyethylene oxide units. 展开更多

A study on the membrane coalescence demulsification was carried out with four working systems of water/n-butyl alcohol, water/n-octanol, water/30% TBP(in kerosene) and water/kerosene. The membranes made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) with 1.0μm pore size were used. The results indicated that the excellent demulsification efficiency for emulsions with various oil contents was obtained. A conductivity probe was used to study the demulsification mechanism. An electrode probe was designed and used to determine the oil content near the membrane surface. The obtained data showed that the oil content in the permeated stream was much higher than that in the feed emulsion. A physical mechanism to explain the membrane demulsification was put forward. 展开更多

As a novel electric demulsification method,bidirectional pulsed electric field(BPEF)was employed to demulsify the surfactant stabilized oil-in-water(SSO/W)emulsion for oil/water separation in this work.The demulsification behavior,characteristics,and stages under BPEF were explored.It was discovered that BPEF drove SSO/W emulsion to move and form vortexes,during which the oil droplets aggregated and accumulated to generate an oil droplet layer(ODL).ODL subsequently transformed into a continuous oil layer(COL)leading to the demulsification and separation of SSO/W emulsion.The conversion rate of ODL to COL was defined and used to evaluate the demulsification process and reflect the coalescence ability and transformation efficiency of dispersed oil droplets into COL.Furthermore,the effects of BPEF voltage,frequency,duty cycle,ratio of pulse output time,and surfactant type and content on the demulsification performance were examined.The optimal values of BPEF parameters for demulsification operation were 400 V,25 Hz,50%,and 4:1.O/W emulsion containing anionic surfactant was apt to be demulsified by BPEF,nonionic surfactant took the second place and cationic surfactant was the most difficult.A high surfactant content was not conducive to the BPEF demulsification.This work is anticipated to provide useful guidance for oil/water separation and oil recovery from actual emulsified oily wastewater by BPEF. 展开更多

A simple and rapid method for the determination of polyethylene oxide-type non-ionic surfactants is reported herein. This method is based on the adhesion of calcium/non-ionic surfactant complexes with tetra phenyl porphine sulfonic acid (TPPS) to the wall of reaction vessel upon vigorous shaking. The ion-associate adhering to the inner wall of the vessel was dissolved with water after discarding the solution and spectrophotometrically assayed at 412 nm. From the standard curve for Triton X-100, the order of the sensitivity for different ions was as follows: Ca^2+〉 K^+〉 NH4^+〉 Ba^2+. The proposed method does not involve extraction of the ion-associated with harmful solvents and can be simply performed by combining a procedure based on hand shaking and the use of a spectrophotometer. 展开更多

An improved rotating microchannel(IRM) separator was further explored in the intensification for demulsification and separation process. Oil-in-water(O/W) emulsion system of 2-ethylhexyl phosphoric acid-2-ethylhexyl ester(P507)–water without emulsifier was employed to evaluate the performance of the new equipment. In this experiment, the influence on demulsification separation process was explored by changing the geometrical structure and channel height of the microchannel and combining the liquid–liquid two-phase flow pattern, and the correlation general graph between demulsification efficiency and dimensionless parameters was established. The total demulsification effect of the IRM and the separation capacity of the clear organic phase recovered from demulsification are significantly improved. In addition, the liquid–liquid two-phase flow pattern of the clear organic phase after demulsification and the remaining emulsion in the IRM are observed and recorded by high-speed photography. The separation ability of organic phase from the upper outlet can be significantly improved when the total demulsification rate of IRM is up to 90%. There are 3 types and 6 kinds of flow patterns observed. The results demonstrated that the suitable demulsification performance is obtained when the liquid–liquid two-phase inside the IRM is in a parallel pattern. Finally, the relation map between total demulsification efficiency and the universal flow is drawn, which provides a basis for the accurate control of the IRM device. 展开更多

在铜湿法冶炼过程中,反萃后的电积富液通常会夹带有机相油滴,若不能及时清理,则会进入电积作业并降低阴极铜质量。为提高穆利亚希铜湿法冶炼厂电积富液除油效果,降低有机相油滴对阴极铜的影响,开展了电积富液超声破乳—微泡气浮—纤维... 在铜湿法冶炼过程中,反萃后的电积富液通常会夹带有机相油滴,若不能及时清理,则会进入电积作业并降低阴极铜质量。为提高穆利亚希铜湿法冶炼厂电积富液除油效果,降低有机相油滴对阴极铜的影响,开展了电积富液超声破乳—微泡气浮—纤维吸附深度除油实验,研究了该技术超声破乳—微泡气浮除油机制。研究结果表明:超声波可以通过空化效应中和油滴表面的负电荷,使油滴整体电荷量减少、油滴之间电荷斥力减小,油滴之间更容易碰撞、黏合、聚并,其中,微细油滴会合并成粒径较大的易浮液滴,降低除油的难度。在微泡气浮除油过程中,气泡直径越小,气泡和油滴的吸附作用越强,油滴在气泡表面铺展越快;气泡数量越多、弥散程度越高,气浮除油的效率越高。在超声功率为300 W、超声时间为4 min、进气量为4 L/min、进液量为0.8 m^(3)/h、除油时间为5 min、吸附滤料采用涤纶丝纤维球的条件下,电积富液除油率为89.77%,电积富液中含油量由60~70 mg/L降低至7 mg/L以下。 展开更多

一种超支化聚合物的合成及其破乳性能

以1,3-丙二胺为核,采用“一锅法”合成了以丙烯酸甲酯和乙二胺为骨架的超支化聚合物(h-PAMAM)。首先将30 mL甲醇加入到三口烧瓶中,向其中加入1,3-丙二胺(0.1 mol),边搅拌边滴加丙烯酸甲酯(0.4 mol),随后混合物在25℃下继续搅拌反应24 h... 以1,3-丙二胺为核,采用“一锅法”合成了以丙烯酸甲酯和乙二胺为骨架的超支化聚合物(h-PAMAM)。首先将30 mL甲醇加入到三口烧瓶中,向其中加入1,3-丙二胺(0.1 mol),边搅拌边滴加丙烯酸甲酯(0.4 mol),随后混合物在25℃下继续搅拌反应24 h。然后依次将乙二胺(0.28 mol)和丙烯酸甲酯(0.24 mol)滴加入烧瓶中,继续反应24 h。最后,在真空状态下采用程序升温:60℃反应1 h,80℃反应1h,100℃反应2h,120℃反应2 h,140℃反应2 h,最终得到浅绿色、高黏度的样品。采用FT-IR和^(1)H NMR对聚合物的结构进行了表征,并测试了h-PAMAM在不同浓度和不同温度条件下对柴油乳液的破乳性能,采用表面张力仪和界面张力仪分析了其降低界面张力的能力以及采用显微观察探讨了其在油水界面上的作用机理。研究结果表明,在h-PAMAM质量浓度为50 mg/L,破乳温度为60℃,破乳时间为90 min时,破乳效率均能达到80%,且油水界面整齐,破乳后乳液水相透光率为84.1%。该破乳剂具有高效、低用量的特点,在水包油乳液的破乳中有着很大的应用潜力。 展开更多

针对含聚污水体系稳定性机制及破乳瓶颈,提出基于超支化非离子型聚酰胺-胺(h-PAMAM)的破乳策略,旨在实现油水高效分离与污泥源头减量双重目标。采用“一锅法”,以乙二胺(EDA)作为引发剂,合成h-PAMAM-E破乳剂,同时以四乙烯五胺(TEPA)作... 针对含聚污水体系稳定性机制及破乳瓶颈,提出基于超支化非离子型聚酰胺-胺(h-PAMAM)的破乳策略,旨在实现油水高效分离与污泥源头减量双重目标。采用“一锅法”,以乙二胺(EDA)作为引发剂,合成h-PAMAM-E破乳剂,同时以四乙烯五胺(TEPA)作为引发剂,调控其单体比例合成系列h-PAMAM-T破乳剂,考察各破乳剂的应用性能,分析其结构对性能的影响。结果表明,以TEPA为引发剂制备的h-PAMAM-T系列破乳剂中,h-PAMAM-T1具有三维球形超支化结构及更丰富的表面氨基,而与EDA引发制备的h-PAMAM-E相比,其分子半径又显著增大,因此具备最优的破乳性能,在其投加量200 mg/L时,对含聚乳液(500 mg/L HPAM)的除油率达91.6%。此外,其非离子特性避免了电中和作用引发的大量含聚污泥的生成问题,与传统聚合氯化铝(PAC)处理相对比,h-PAMAM-T1处理含聚乳液后污泥湿重仅17.84 g/L,较PAC处理后的污泥产量大幅降低。 展开更多

目的液滴聚结是脉冲电场对乳状液破乳脱水的关键一步,研究脉冲电场中液滴聚结机理、影响因素不清晰的问题,为后续研究提供指导思路和方向。方法通过全面对比分析脉冲电场中乳状液破乳脱水的相关内容,归纳总结液滴聚结机理和影响液滴聚... 目的液滴聚结是脉冲电场对乳状液破乳脱水的关键一步,研究脉冲电场中液滴聚结机理、影响因素不清晰的问题,为后续研究提供指导思路和方向。方法通过全面对比分析脉冲电场中乳状液破乳脱水的相关内容,归纳总结液滴聚结机理和影响液滴聚结的因素。结果脉冲电场中液滴的聚结机理主要以偶极聚结、电泳聚结和介电泳聚结为主,影响液滴聚结的主要因素为电场强度、电场频率和占空比等,且其均存在最优值,使得液滴聚结效果达到最佳;针对不同物性乳液,在进行电破乳时可对乳状液进行预处理,以获得更佳的聚结效果,操作参数和二次液滴的形成对液滴聚结效果的影响不可忽略。结论采用数值仿真、分子动力学等技术手段对液滴聚结过程进行深入研究,探索具有普适性的脉冲电场中液滴的聚结机理;同时结合聚结机理采用新兴技术对二次液滴的形成进行深入系统的探索和拓展。 展开更多

高频高压脉冲技术在原油破乳处理上的应用

随着采出液乳化程度的加剧,常规脱水方法无法满足原油破乳要求,存在工艺流程长、运行能耗高等问题。为解决上述问题,利用室内实验装置构建了高频高压脉冲破乳装置,分析了非电场参数对原油乳状液流变性的影响,分析了电场参数对脱水率的影... 随着采出液乳化程度的加剧,常规脱水方法无法满足原油破乳要求,存在工艺流程长、运行能耗高等问题。为解决上述问题,利用室内实验装置构建了高频高压脉冲破乳装置,分析了非电场参数对原油乳状液流变性的影响,分析了电场参数对脱水率的影响,并基于室内实验结果对现场应用进行了指导。结果显示,当电压幅值为6 kV、电场频率为2000 Hz、占空比为70%、电压波形为矩形时,脱水效果最佳,脱水率可达到97.2%;在现场应用高频脉冲原油脱水装置后,单位运行能耗有所下降,吨液耗电量减少0.13 kWh,吨液耗气量减少1.07 m^(3),节能效果明显。研究结果可为同类站场的脱水处理提供实际参考。 展开更多

压裂返排液水质胶体稳定性分析及其预处理技术研究

压裂返排液是非常规油气开发过程主要的副产物,对其进行高效预处理可保障油田联合站污水处理工艺的整体运行效率。针对压裂返排液水质胶体稳定性高、污染负荷大的问题,以滑溜水返排液和胍胶返排液为研究对象,系统分析其污染特性及稳定... 压裂返排液是非常规油气开发过程主要的副产物,对其进行高效预处理可保障油田联合站污水处理工艺的整体运行效率。针对压裂返排液水质胶体稳定性高、污染负荷大的问题,以滑溜水返排液和胍胶返排液为研究对象,系统分析其污染特性及稳定性机制,并提出“破乳脱稳+Fenton氧化”预处理工艺。采用聚合氯化铝(PAC)-聚丙烯酰胺(PAM)复合混凝剂结合黄铁矿催化Fenton氧化可有效破解胶体稳定性,滑溜水返排液SS和COD去除率分别达91.13%和92.52%,胍胶返排液因天然多糖形成的稳定网络结构,SS和COD去除率分别为84.89%和69.87%。有机物组成和水质稳定性分析表明,破乳脱稳+Fenton氧化预处理工艺通过界面电化学特性调控和有机物降解实现了对体系稳定性的重构。模拟联合站“气浮-砂滤”系统,将预处理后的压裂返排液与采出水按体积比1∶1混合后经气浮-砂滤工艺处理,结果表明,滑溜水返排液与采出水的混合液污染物去除效果与采出水单独处理工况相近,而胍胶返排液与采出水的混合液经处理后SS和COD均被大量去除,但出水SS仍较高,可以通过降低胍胶返排液在混合液中的掺混比使得其处理效果得以强化。 展开更多
