The Comparison Between Finite Element Analysis and Experimental Results of the Cooling of Injection Moulds with Hot Runner System

In an injection moulding process, the mould cooling s ystem is very important as an efficient and uniform cooling effect can improve b oth the productivity and part quality. Due to the complexity of the process, muc h research on the mould cooling analysis and cooling design optimization has bee n focused on the core and the cavity, excluding other systems of injection mould s. However, the runner system introduces a considerable amount of heat into the mould. In recent years, more and more hot runner systems are being applied in th e moulding industry to save material and decrease losses of injection pressure. This raises the need to include the hot runner system in the cooling analysis. I n this paper, a photo frame part was studied. The mould was built with a hot run ner system. Two thermal sensors were installed: one measures the temperature of lateral surface of hot runner nozzle; the other measures the plastic temperature from the core side. A pressure sensor was also installed to measure the pressur e of the core impression. Cooling analysis was performed using ABAQUS, ananalysi s software based on the Finite Element Method (FEM). The assembly including core , cavity and plastic part was modeled. Heat conduction from hot runner to cavity and from polymer melt to the mould and force convection on the cooling channel surfaces were studied. The natural convection between the ambient air and the ex terior mould surface was ignored. The simulations were adjusted with the experim ental results to find out the heat input from hot runner and its influence on mo uld cooling. Finally, the optimal cooling design and optimal injection condition were obtained. 展开更多

The current development of precision plastic injection molding machines mainly focuses on how to save material and improve precision, but the two aims contradict each other. For a clamp unit, clamping precision improving depends on the design quality of the stationary platen. Compared with the parametric design of stationary platen, structural scheme design could obtain the optimization model with double objectives and multi-constraints. In this paper, a SE-160 precision plastic injection molding machine with 1600 kN clamping force is selected as the subject in the case study. During the motion of mold closing and opening, the stationary platen of SE-160 is subjected to a cyclic loading, which would cause the fatigue rupture of the tie bars in periodically long term operations. In order to reduce the deflection of the stationary platen, the FEA method is introduced to optimize the structure of the stationary platen. Firstly, an optimal topology model is established by variable density method. Then, structural topology optimizations of the stationary platen are done with the removable material from 50%, 60% to 70%. Secondly, the other two recommended optimization schemes are given and compared with the original structure. The result of performances comparison shows that the scheme II of the platen is the best one. By choosing the best alternative, the volume and the local maximal stress of the platen could be decreased, corresponding to cost-saving material and better mechanical properties. This paper proposes a structural optimization design scheme, which can save the material as well as improve the clamping precision of the precision plastic injection molding machine. 展开更多

At the same time, it is helpful to confirm the cooling system structure and optimize the process conditions. In this paper, the 3D surface model of mold cavity is used to replace the middle-plane model in the simulation by Boundary Element Method, which break the bottleneck of the application of the injection molding simulation softwares base on the middle-plane model. Objective To verify the neurotypicality of AAV-PHP.eB after tail vein injection in adult mice and its efficiency in crossing the blood-brain barrier(BBB).Methods The rAAV-SYN-GFP plasmid was constructed, and adult C57 BL mice were injected with AAV PHP.eB: SYN-GFP in the tail vein(300 nL, virus titer 3 × 10~9 vg) and in the prefrontal lobe(50 L, virus tite5 × 10^(11) vg). The green fluorescent protein(GFP) signal in the brain was observed at two weeks, while the GFP signal in the peripheral organs was observed at four weeks. Results Two weeks after tail vein injection, GFP expression was observed throughout the brain especially in the cortex, hippocampus, and geniculate nucleus. No GFP signal was observed or detected by western blotting in the peripheral organs after four weeks. GFP signal was observed mainly at the loca site after prefrontal lobe injection.Conclusion AAV-PHP.eB: SYN-GFP can effectively cross the BBB in adult mice. Using a neuron-specific promoter allows exogenous gene expression in neurons; therefore, AAV-PHP.eB can be used as an effective carrier for studying diseases in the central nervous system(CNS). 展开更多

In this study, Virtual Reality (VR)-based plastic injection molding training system (VPIMTS), which can be modeled as an integrated system with a task planning module, an intelligent instruction module, a simulation module, and virtual envi-ronment (VE) module, was developed. Presented in this paper are an architecture of VPIMTS, a practical knowledge modelling approach for modelling the training scenarios of the system by using Petri nets formalism and key techniques (FEM, injection molding procedure modelling) which have been developed independently. The utilization of the Petri net model realized the environment where the trainee can behave freely, and also made it possible to equip the system with the function of showing the next action of the trainee whenever he wants. The overall system is a powerful approach for highly improving the trainee’s comprehension and injection molding study-efficiency by building digital, intelligent, knowledgeable, and visual aids. 展开更多

Active resilient defense control against false data injection attacks in smart grids

The emerging of false data injection attacks(FDIAs)can fool the traditional detection methods by injecting false data,which has brought huge risks to the security of smart grids.For this reason,a resilient active defense control scheme based on interval observer detection is proposed in this paper to protect smart grids.The proposed active defense highlights the integration of detection and defense against FDIAs in smart girds.First,a dynamic physical grid model under FDIAs is modeled,in which model uncertainty and parameter uncertainty are taken into account.Then,an interval observer-based detection method against FDIAs is proposed,where a detection criteria using interval residual is put forward.Corresponding to the detection results,the resilient defense controller is triggered to defense the FDIAs if the system states are affected by FDIAs.Linear matrix inequality(LMI)approach is applied to design the resilient controller with H_(∞)performance.The system with the resilient defense controller can be robust to FDIAs and the gain of the resilient controller has a certain gain margin.Our active resilient defense approach can be built in real time and show accurate and quick respond to the injected FDIAs.The effectiveness of the proposed defense scheme is verified by the simulation results on an IEEE 30-bus grid system. 展开更多

The flow behavior of feedstock for the tungsten alloy powder in the mold cavity was approximately described using Hele-Shaw flow model. The math model consisting of momentum equation, consecutive equation and thermo-conduction equation for describing the injection process was established. The equations are solved by the finite element/finite difference hybrid method that means dispersing the feedstock model with finite element method, resolving the model along the depth with finite difference method, and tracking the movable boundary with control volume method, then the pressure equation and energy equation can be resolved in turn. The numerical simulation of the injection process and the identification of the process parameters were realized by the Moldflow software. The results indicate that there is low temperature gradient in the cavity while the pressure and shear rate gradient are high at high flow rate. The selection of the flow rate is affected by the structure of the gate. The shear rate and the pressure near the gate can be decreased by properly widening the dimension of the gate. There is a good agreement between the process parameters obtained by the numerical simulation and the actual ones. 展开更多

This study presents a novel hybrid topology optimization and mold design framework that integrates process fitting,runner system optimization,and structural analysis to significantly enhance the performance of injection-molded parts.At its core,the framework employs a greedy algorithm that generates runner systems based on adjacency and shortest path principles,leading to improvements in both mechanical strength and material efficiency.The design optimization is validated through a series of rigorous experimental tests,including three-point bending and torsion tests performed on key-socket frames,ensuring that the optimized designs meet practical performance requirements.A critical innovation of the framework is the development of the Adjacent Element Temperature-Driven Prestress Algorithm(AETDPA),which refines the prediction of mechanical failure and strength fitting.This algorithm has been shown to deliver mesh-independent accuracy,thereby enhancing the reliability of simulation results across various design iterations.The framework’s adaptability is further demonstrated by its ability to adjust optimization methods based on the unique geometry of each part,thus accelerating the overall design process while ensuring struc-tural integrity.In addition to its immediate applications in injection molding,the study explores the potential extension of this framework to metal additive manufacturing,opening new avenues for its use in advanced manufacturing technologies.Numerical simulations,including finite element analysis,support the experimental findings and confirm that the optimized designs provide a balanced combination of strength,durability,and efficiency.Furthermore,the integration challenges with existing injection molding practices are addressed,underscoring the framework’s scalability and industrial relevance.Overall,this hybrid topology optimization framework offers a computationally efficient and robust solution for advanced manufacturing applications,promising significant improvements in design efficiency,cost-effectiveness,and product performance.Future work will focus on further enhancing algorithm robustness and exploring additional applications across diverse manufacturing processes. 展开更多

医用射流速度对生物组织破裂变形的影响规律

无针注射是先进给药技术发展的重要方向,注射试验难以直接获取医用射流与生物组织之间的相互作用力。采用光滑粒子流体动力学与有限元法,开展了射流注射在穿透阶段中医用水射流与多层生物组织之间的相互作用特性研究。通过对比射流穿透... 无针注射是先进给药技术发展的重要方向,注射试验难以直接获取医用射流与生物组织之间的相互作用力。采用光滑粒子流体动力学与有限元法,开展了射流注射在穿透阶段中医用水射流与多层生物组织之间的相互作用特性研究。通过对比射流穿透单层皮肤数值仿真与凝胶注射试验结果,验证数值仿真模型的可靠性,进而开展不同射流速度下医用水射流穿透多层生物组织仿真分析。研究结果表明:射流速度直接影响生物组织发生弹性变形及结构破坏,该生物组织模型的射流速度阈值为105 m/s,当射流速度由110 m/s增至120 m/s,脂肪层径向形变峰值由0.18 mm增至0.26 mm;同时,当射流速度由105 m/s增至120 m/s时,动能耗散速率增长了31%,即生物组织的动态力学响应会对射流产生明显的约束效应和运动阻滞作用,直接影响穿透过程中射流能量耗散特征。因此,注射过程中高速微射流与生物组织之间的耦合作用直接决定所形成孔洞的深度特征,可采用对数增长拟合模型对不同射流速度下的孔洞深度进行预测。 展开更多

针对保护性耕作深松作业机具土壤扰动大的问题,设计了一种间隔深松机直注深松铲。利用离散元法和田间试验研究了不同铲体幅宽对土壤扰动行为的影响。以耕作比阻、土壤膨松度和土壤扰动系数为试验指标,对比不同铲体幅宽条件下土壤运动状... 针对保护性耕作深松作业机具土壤扰动大的问题,设计了一种间隔深松机直注深松铲。利用离散元法和田间试验研究了不同铲体幅宽对土壤扰动行为的影响。以耕作比阻、土壤膨松度和土壤扰动系数为试验指标,对比不同铲体幅宽条件下土壤运动状态及各方向微观运动情况,分析直注深松铲土壤扰动效果。结果表明,当铲体幅宽为350 mm时,耕作阻力最小;当铲体幅宽为450 mm时,耕作比阻最小;土壤扰动随铲体幅宽增加而增大,铲体幅宽主要影响土壤侧向扰动、土壤回落及土垄高度,适当减小幅宽有利于减小土壤侧向扰动、增加土壤回落、降低垄高;铲体幅宽对土壤膨松度和土壤扰动系数有重要影响,当铲体幅宽为350 mm时,土壤膨松度相对较小,土壤扰动系数相对较大;不同铲体幅宽对耕作阻力和扰动面积均有一定的影响,铲体幅宽对扰动面积影响大于对耕作阻力的影响;试验范围内土壤膨松度和扰动系数试验值和仿真值平均误差分别为6.36%和6.84%,耕作阻力和比阻试验值和仿真值平均误差分别为9.02%和12.41%。间隔深松机降低土壤扰动效果明显,可为深松机优化设计提供参考。 展开更多

目的 建立电感耦合等离子体质谱法(inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry,ICP-MS)测定注射用亚锡甲氧异腈中元素杂质的含量。方法 样品溶解后,采用ICP-MS半定量测定模式对注射用亚锡甲氧异腈中元素杂质进行初步筛查,结合国际... 目的 建立电感耦合等离子体质谱法(inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry,ICP-MS)测定注射用亚锡甲氧异腈中元素杂质的含量。方法 样品溶解后,采用ICP-MS半定量测定模式对注射用亚锡甲氧异腈中元素杂质进行初步筛查,结合国际人用药品注册技术协调会(International Council for Harmonisation of Technical Requirements for Pharmaceuticals for Human Use,ICH)Q3D元素杂质指导原则的要求,确定16种元素:锂(Li)、镁(Mg)、铝(Al)、硅(Si)、钾(K)、钒(V)、铁(Fe)、钴(Co)、镍(Ni)、锌(Zn)、砷(As)、镉(Cd)、铟(In)、锑(Sb)、汞(Hg)和铅(Pb)作为定量考察和控制的元素杂质研究对象。ICP-MS采集模式选择动能歧视模式进行定量方法研究,分别以钪(Sc)、锗(Ge)、钇(Y)、铋(Bi)作为内标,测定16种元素杂质的含量。结果 16种元素杂质在各自线性范围内响应与浓度相关性良好(r≥0.999 3);方法精密度(RSD≤3.53%)和重复性(RSD≤3.69%)均较好;各元素平均回收率为95.86%~105.64%(RSD≤5.06%,n=9),方法准确性良好。注射用亚锡甲氧异腈样品中16种元素均未超出限度,Mg、K、Zn 3种元素含量相对较高。结论 金属盐类制剂产品可能引入ICH Q3D原则要求以外的元素杂质。本研究建立的ICP-MS定量方法简便、快速,可用于注射用亚锡甲氧异腈中元素杂质的筛查、检测和风险评估。 展开更多

目的探究多种微量元素注射液(Ⅰ)对免疫缺陷小鼠免疫调节及甲状腺功能的影响。方法10只NPG小鼠随机分为对照组和干预组,每组各5只;另选5只NPG小鼠作为治疗前对照组。干预组小鼠静脉注射1.5 mL/kg多种微量元素注射液(Ⅰ);对照组小鼠注射... 目的探究多种微量元素注射液(Ⅰ)对免疫缺陷小鼠免疫调节及甲状腺功能的影响。方法10只NPG小鼠随机分为对照组和干预组,每组各5只;另选5只NPG小鼠作为治疗前对照组。干预组小鼠静脉注射1.5 mL/kg多种微量元素注射液(Ⅰ);对照组小鼠注射等量生理盐水。1次/d,连续注射7 d。酶联免疫吸附试验检测血清免疫[C反应蛋白(CRP)、铜蓝蛋白(CER)、谷胱甘肽过氧化物酶(GSH-Px)、超氧化物歧化酶(SOD)、免疫球蛋白(Ig)G、IgA、IgM]及甲状腺功能[三碘甲腺原氨酸(T_(3))、四碘甲腺原氨酸(T_(4))、促甲状腺激素(TSH)、游离三碘甲腺原氨酸(FT_(3))、游离四碘甲腺原氨酸(FT_(4))]相关指标水平;苏木精-伊红染色观察甲状腺病理损伤;流式细胞术检测脾脏T淋巴细胞亚群比例。结果治疗前对照组和对照组小鼠免疫及甲状腺功能指标比较,差异无统计学意义(P>0.05)。干预组小鼠血清CRP、CER、GSH-Px、SOD、IgG、IgA、IgM、T_(3)、T_(4)、FT_(3)、FT_(4)水平高于治疗前对照组和对照组,TSH水平低于治疗前对照组和对照组,甲状腺上皮细胞排列较整齐,存在少量滤泡细胞萎缩和炎性浸润;脾脏CD3^(+)、CD4^(+)、CD8^(+)细胞比例多于治疗前对照组和对照组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。结论多种微量元素注射液(Ⅰ)能够改善免疫缺陷小鼠免疫及甲状腺功能。 展开更多

电感耦合等离子体原子发射光谱法(ICP-AES)在测定固体样品中的元素时需要将固体样品用无机酸消解为溶液后进样,操作较繁琐,且造成环境污染,其消解后金属中C、P、S等元素易挥发,难以全部赋存于溶液中,影响含量准确测定。为实现固体气溶... 电感耦合等离子体原子发射光谱法(ICP-AES)在测定固体样品中的元素时需要将固体样品用无机酸消解为溶液后进样,操作较繁琐,且造成环境污染,其消解后金属中C、P、S等元素易挥发,难以全部赋存于溶液中,影响含量准确测定。为实现固体气溶胶直接进样,采用自制电感式火花脉冲气溶胶进样器,电感充电电压为300 V,充电电感为100μH,充电脉宽位为16μs,单脉冲能量为320 mJ,产生的气溶胶颗粒粒径在200 nm左右;优化载气流速、单脉冲火花能、传输距离、ICP功率等进样条件后,中低合金钢标准样品中C、P、S、Mn、Ni、Si等6种元素的线性相关系数R^(2)均优于0.99,相对标准偏差RSD在0.96%~6.5%,检出限4.9~32.8μg/g。结果表明,电感式火花脉冲气溶胶进样器可对金属固体样品直接进样分析,测得结果与标准样品认定值的测量偏倚均小于临界差CD0.95,符合现行标准GB/T 4336-2016规定,具有很好的应用前景。 展开更多
