Physiology is an important basic course for medical majors.The content of the nervous system is abstract,the theories are profound,the knowledge is updated rapidly,and it is most closely connected with clinical practi...Physiology is an important basic course for medical majors.The content of the nervous system is abstract,the theories are profound,the knowledge is updated rapidly,and it is most closely connected with clinical practice.Students generally report difficulties in understanding,resulting in low learning interest.To improve teaching quality,this study has attempted to organically integrate clinical cases,scientific research methods and classroom teaching in the teaching of the nervous system,and constructed a“clinical-research-teaching”trinity teaching model.With“clinical problem-driven,scientific research thinking-driven,teaching scenario reconstruction”as the main line,real cases,scientific research examples and cutting-edge research progress in neuroscience were introduced to stimulate students’learning interest and cultivate their scientific thinking and clinical application abilities.Practice has shown that this model can effectively improve teaching effectiveness and students’comprehensive quality.Compared with the traditional teaching model,this teaching model significantly improved students’final exam scores(p<0.01),scores of the Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory(p<0.01),and the number of approved college students’innovation and entrepreneurship projects.It is proved that the“trinity”teaching model can stimulate learning interest,cultivate integrated medical talents,and is an effective way to achieve in-depth connection between basic medicine and clinical practice.展开更多
BACKGROUND Rehabilitation nursing is considered an indispensable part of the cerebral infarction treatment system.The hospital–community–family trinity rehabilitation nursing model can provide continuous nursing ser...BACKGROUND Rehabilitation nursing is considered an indispensable part of the cerebral infarction treatment system.The hospital–community–family trinity rehabilitation nursing model can provide continuous nursing services across hospitals,communities,and families for patients.AIM To explore the application of a hospital–community–family rehabilitation nursing model combined with motor imagery therapy in patients with cerebral infarction.METHODS From January 2021 to December 2021,88 patients with cerebral infarction were divided into a study(n=44)and a control(n=44)group using a simple random number table.The control group received routine nursing and motor imagery therapy.The study group was given hospital–community–family trinity rehabilitation nursing based on the control group.Motor function(FMA),balance ability(BBS),activities of daily living(BI),quality of life(SS-QOL),activation status of the contralateral primary sensorimotor cortical area to the affected side,and nursing satisfaction were evaluated before and after intervention in both groups.RESULTS Before intervention,FMA and BBS were similar(P>0.05).After 6 months’intervention,FMA and BBS were significantly higher in the study than in the control group(both P<0.05).Before intervention,BI and SS-QOL scores were not different between the study and control group(P>0.05).However,after 6months’intervention,BI and SS-QOL were higher in the study than in the control group(P<0.05).Before intervention,activation frequency and volume were similar between the study and the control group(P>0.05).After 6 months’intervention,the activation frequency and volume were higher in the study than in the control group(P<0.05).The reliability,empathy,reactivity,assurance,and tangibles scores for quality of nursing service were higher in the study than in the control group(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Combining a hospital–community–family trinity rehabilitation nursing model and motor imagery therapy enhances the motor function and balance ability of patients with cerebral infarction,improving their quality of life.展开更多

This concept indicates that the coexistence of an atmosphere (consisting largely of C and N), an ocean (H and 0), and a landmass (supplier of nutrients) accompanying continuous material circulation between these three components driven by the Sun is one of the minimum requirements for life to emerge and evolve. The life body consists of C, O, H, N and other various nutrients, and therefore, the presence of water, only, is not a sufficient condition. Habitable Trinity environment must he maintained to supply necessary components for life body. Our Habitable Trinity concept can also be applied to other planets and moons such as Mars, Europa, Titan, and even exoplanets as a useful index in the quest for life-containing planetary bodies.展开更多
