In an era defined by complex,interconnected challenges like climate change,pandemics,and resource depletion,the traditional siloed approach to science education is proving increasingly insufficient.Interdisciplinary project-based learning represents a promising path forward in science education,fostering integrated and holistic learning experiences that move beyond isolated subject learning.Grounded in philosophical ideas of holism,pragmatism,constructivism,and transcendentalism,this article presents a case project illustrating the practical application of interdisciplinary project-based learning.This project engages students in integrating concepts from biology,chemistry,earth science,engineering,and social studies.Through phased activities-research and planning,data collection,implementation,and presentation-students develop a decent understanding of real-world problems while fostering skills in collaboration,problem-solving,and a sense of civic responsibility.Additionally,strategies are proposed to navigate the challenges associated with implementing interdisciplinary project-based learning,including aligning projects with standards,investing in professional development,leveraging community resources,and building support from stakeholders. 展开更多

随着3D技术与科学教育的不断融合,形塑学习模式(Solid Learning Model)不断得到国内外教育学者的关注。国内外相关研究提出,基于3D技术形塑学习模式有利于激发学习者的创新意识,培养学习者的创新能力。然而,鲜有研究从实证角度去分析形... 随着3D技术与科学教育的不断融合,形塑学习模式(Solid Learning Model)不断得到国内外教育学者的关注。国内外相关研究提出,基于3D技术形塑学习模式有利于激发学习者的创新意识,培养学习者的创新能力。然而,鲜有研究从实证角度去分析形塑学习(Solid Learning)有哪些维度影响了学习者创新能力?这些维度与创新能力之间的内在作用机理是什么?经过为期12周的3D景观设计形塑实践课程,58名景观专业大学生提交了形塑学习模式创新问卷。通过结构方程软件SMART PLS对假设模型的拟合发现:Solid Learning的感知沉浸性是一个二阶因子,由个性化、交互性、情境性三个一阶变量构成。学习者的创新思维只有在体验式学习情境下才能转化为创新行为,创新能力培养要突破传统学习空间和交互方式,提倡做中创(Creation by Doing)的理念;跨学科能力在感知沉浸性与创新能力之间存在部分中介效应。跨学科能力影响创新能力有两条路径:一是知识结构本身有机的整合,二是学习者对个体多元智能特征的认识和优选。针对形塑学习的这些研究,在理论上丰富了学习技术的内涵,同时实践上对高校采用3D技术实施创新教育培养模式提供了参考。 展开更多

<strong>Background:</strong> Coronavirus-19 (COVID-19) dramatically impacted institutions of higher education. The effect was acute in the practice disciplines such as medicine, medical laboratory science,... <strong>Background:</strong> Coronavirus-19 (COVID-19) dramatically impacted institutions of higher education. The effect was acute in the practice disciplines such as medicine, medical laboratory science, and nursing. The purpose is to describe how an interdisciplinary team, led by nursing faculty, adapted to the changes driven by COVID-19 and the lessons that were learned for nursing and other disciplines in higher education. <strong>Method:</strong> The interdisciplinary group created a comprehensive list which captured the impact of COVID-19 on their academic disciplines. Similarities and differences between the disciplines regarding faculty experiences, teaching, and responding to student concerns were discovered. <strong>Results:</strong> Collective review resulted in the identification of four inclusive thematic categories and several sub-categories. These were: academic considerations (didactic, lab, clinical), perceptions (faculty, student), ethical considerations, and social determinants affecting the learning environment. Lessons Learned: This project utilized an innovative interdisciplinary approach to identify common COVID-19 effects on higher education. <strong>Conclusions:</strong> Nursing and other health-related disciplines should pursue interdisciplinary collaboration to address common academic issues that arise during the COVID. 展开更多

In the rapidly evolving landscape of digital transformation and industrial integration,higher education faces the challenge of cultivating applied talents equipped with interdisciplinary knowledge,engineering skills,and innovative thinking.Traditional teaching models often fail to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application,resulting in passive learning and limited problem-solving capabilities.This paper proposes a three-dimensional integrated teaching model centered on“Information Technology-Domain Knowledge-Outcome Production”(the“2+2+2”credit framework)to address these challenges.Drawing on constructivist theories,Bloom’s Taxonomy,and the CDIO model,the framework uses real projects to drive learning,facilitating the seamless integration of theoretical teaching and practical innovation.The model emphasizes tiered teaching objectives and interdisciplinary pathways,supported by dynamic assessment systems that track students’growth in knowledge,skills,and abilities.Applied in smart health and financial technology domains,this approach enhances students’comprehensive capabilities,aligning educational outcomes with industry demands.This study offers replicable strategies for educational reform in new engineering disciplines,aiming to transform students into proactive innovators and versatile talents. 展开更多
