Due to the lack of accurate data and complex parameterization,the prediction of groundwater depth is a chal-lenge for numerical models.Machine learning can effectively solve this issue and has been proven useful in the prediction of groundwater depth in many areas.In this study,two new models are applied to the prediction of groundwater depth in the Ningxia area,China.The two models combine the improved dung beetle optimizer(DBO)algorithm with two deep learning models:The Multi-head Attention-Convolution Neural Network-Long Short Term Memory networks(MH-CNN-LSTM)and the Multi-head Attention-Convolution Neural Network-Gated Recurrent Unit(MH-CNN-GRU).The models with DBO show better prediction performance,with larger R(correlation coefficient),RPD(residual prediction deviation),and lower RMSE(root-mean-square error).Com-pared with the models with the original DBO,the R and RPD of models with the improved DBO increase by over 1.5%,and the RMSE decreases by over 1.8%,indicating better prediction results.In addition,compared with the multiple linear regression model,a traditional statistical model,deep learning models have better prediction performance. 展开更多

Soil improvement is one of the most important issues in geotechnical engineering practice.The wide application of traditional improvement techniques(cement/chemical materials)are limited due to damage ecological en-vironment and intensify carbon emissions.However,the use of microbially induced calcium carbonate pre-cipitation(MICP)to obtain bio-cement is a novel technique with the potential to induce soil stability,providing a low-carbon,environment-friendly,and sustainable integrated solution for some geotechnical engineering pro-blems in the environment.This paper presents a comprehensive review of the latest progress in soil improvement based on the MICP strategy.It systematically summarizes and overviews the mineralization mechanism,influ-encing factors,improved methods,engineering characteristics,and current field application status of the MICP.Additionally,it also explores the limitations and correspondingly proposes prospective applications via the MICP approach for soil improvement.This review indicates that the utilization of different environmental calcium-based wastes in MICP and combination of materials and MICP are conducive to meeting engineering and market demand.Furthermore,we recommend and encourage global collaborative study and practice with a view to commercializing MICP technique in the future.The current review purports to provide insights for engineers and interdisciplinary researchers,and guidance for future engineering applications. 展开更多

To solve the problem of low detection accuracy for complex weld defects,the paper proposes a weld defects detection method based on improved YOLOv5s.To enhance the ability to focus on key information in feature maps,the scSE attention mechanism is intro-duced into the backbone network of YOLOv5s.A Fusion-Block module and additional layers are added to the neck network of YOLOv5s to improve the effect of feature fusion,which is to meet the needs of complex object detection.To reduce the computation-al complexity of the model,the C3Ghost module is used to replace the CSP2_1 module in the neck network of YOLOv5s.The scSE-ASFF module is constructed and inserted between the neck network and the prediction end,which is to realize the fusion of features between the different layers.To address the issue of imbalanced sample quality in the dataset and improve the regression speed and accuracy of the loss function,the CIoU loss function in the YOLOv5s model is replaced with the Focal-EIoU loss function.Finally,ex-periments are conducted based on the collected weld defect dataset to verify the feasibility of the improved YOLOv5s for weld defects detection.The experimental results show that the precision and mAP of the improved YOLOv5s in detecting complex weld defects are as high as 83.4%and 76.1%,respectively,which are 2.5%and 7.6%higher than the traditional YOLOv5s model.The proposed weld defects detection method based on the improved YOLOv5s in this paper can effectively solve the problem of low weld defects detection accuracy. 展开更多

To improve the efficiency and accuracy of path planning for fan inspection tasks in thermal power plants,this paper proposes an intelligent inspection robot path planning scheme based on an improved A^(*)algorithm.The inspection robot utilizes multiple sensors to monitor key parameters of the fans,such as vibration,noise,and bearing temperature,and upload the data to the monitoring center.The robot’s inspection path employs the improved A^(*)algorithm,incorporating obstacle penalty terms,path reconstruction,and smoothing optimization techniques,thereby achieving optimal path planning for the inspection robot in complex environments.Simulation results demonstrate that the improved A^(*)algorithm significantly outperforms the traditional A^(*)algorithm in terms of total path distance,smoothness,and detour rate,effectively improving the execution efficiency of inspection tasks. 展开更多

This study tested the electrical conductivity and pressure sensitivity of lime⁃improved silty sand reinforced with Carbon Fiber Powder(CFP)as the conductive medium.The influence of CFP dosage,moisture content and curing duration on the unconfined compressive strength,initial resistivity and pressure sensitivity of the improved soil was systematically analysed.The results showed that the unconfined compressive strength varied non⁃monotonically with increasing CFP dosage,reaching a peak at a dosage of 1.6%.Furthermore,the initial resistivity showed slight variations under different moisture conditions but eventually converged towards the conductive percolation threshold at a dosage of 2.4%.It is worth noting that CFP reinforced lime⁃improved silty sand(CRLS)exhibit a clear dynamic synchronization of strain with stress and resistivity rate of variation.The pressure sensitivity was optimized with CFP dosages ranging from 1.6%to 2.0%.Both insufficient and excessive dosages had a negative impact on pressure sensitivity.It is important to consider the weakening effect of high moisture content on the pressure sensitivity of the specimens in practical applications. 展开更多

When the maneuverability of a pursuer is not significantly higher than that of an evader,it will be difficult to intercept the evader with only one pursuer.Therefore,this article adopts a two-to-one differential game strategy,the game of kind is generally considered to be angle-optimized,which allows unlimited turns,but these practices do not take into account the effect of acceleration,which does not correspond to the actual situation,thus,based on the angle-optimized,the acceleration optimization and the acceleration upper bound constraint are added into the game for consideration.A two-to-one differential game problem is proposed in the three-dimensional space,and an improved multi-objective grey wolf optimization(IMOGWO)algorithm is proposed to solve the optimal game point of this problem.With the equations that describe the relative motions between the pursuers and the evader in the three-dimensional space,a multi-objective function with constraints is given as the performance index to design an optimal strategy for the differential game.Then the optimal game point is solved by using the IMOGWO algorithm.It is proved based on Markov chains that with the IMOGWO,the Pareto solution set is the solution of the differential game.Finally,it is verified through simulations that the pursuers can capture the escapee,and via comparative experiments,it is shown that the IMOGWO algorithm performs well in terms of running time and memory usage. 展开更多

This work’s aim is to participate in local materials (raw or fiber improved), which can be used in sustainable and accessible buildings to every Senegalese. To do this, studied materials are respectively collected from a laterite clay pit in Ndouloumadjie Dembe (Matam, Northern Senegal) and another from a termite mound in Tattaguine (Fatick, Central Senegal). These samples are first subjected to Geotechnical identification tests. Mud bricks are then made with raw or sifted millet involucre improved to 1%, 2%, and 3% at 5 mm sieve samples. These briquettes are subjected to compression tests and thermal evaluations. Lagrange and Newton methods of numeric modelling are used to test the whole mixture points between 1% and 3% millet involucre for a better correlation between mechanical and thermal parameters. The results show that in Matam, as well as in Tattaguine, these muds, raw or improved, are of good thermomechanical quality when they are used in bricks making. And the thermomechanical coupling quality reaches a maximum situated at 2.125% for Ndouloumadjie and 2.05% for Tattaguine. These briquettes’ building quality depends on the mud content used in iron, aluminum, silica and clay. Thus, same natural materials can be used in the establishment of habitats according to their geotechnical, chemical, mechanical and thermal characteristics. 展开更多

Porosity is an important attribute for evaluating the petrophysical properties of reservoirs, and has guiding significance for the exploration and development of oil and gas. The seismic inversion is a key method for comprehensively obtaining the porosity. Deep learning methods provide an intelligent approach to suppress the ambiguity of the conventional inversion method. However, under the trace-bytrace inversion strategy, there is a lack of constraints from geological structural information, resulting in poor lateral continuity of prediction results. In addition, the heterogeneity and the sedimentary variability of subsurface media also lead to uncertainty in intelligent prediction. To achieve fine prediction of porosity, we consider the lateral continuity and variability and propose an improved structural modeling deep learning porosity prediction method. First, we combine well data, waveform attributes, and structural information as constraints to model geophysical parameters, constructing a high-quality training dataset with sedimentary facies-controlled significance. Subsequently, we introduce a gated axial attention mechanism to enhance the features of dataset and design a bidirectional closed-loop network system constrained by inversion and forward processes. The constraint coefficient is adaptively adjusted by the petrophysical information contained between the porosity and impedance in the study area. We demonstrate the effectiveness of the adaptive coefficient through numerical experiments.Finally, we compare the performance differences between the proposed method and conventional deep learning methods using data from two study areas. The proposed method achieves better consistency with the logging porosity, demonstrating the superiority of the proposed method. 展开更多

In response to the deficiencies of commonly used optimization methods for assembly lines,a production demand-oriented optimization method for assembly lines is proposed.Taking a certain compressor assembly line as an example,the production rhythm and the number of workstations are calculated based on production requirements and working systems.With assembly rhythm and smoothing index as optimization goals,an improved particle swarm optimization algorithm is employed for process allocation.Subsequently,Flexsim simulation is used to analyze the assembly line.The final results show that after optimization using the improved particle swarm algorithm,the assembly line balance rate increased from 71.1%to 85.9%,and the assembly line smoothing index decreased from 47.4 to 29.8,significantly enhancing assembly efficiency.This demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed optimization method for the assembly line and provides a reference for other products in the same industry. 展开更多

[Objectives]This study was conducted to propose an improved YOLOv8s-based potato identification algorithm,in order to address issues such as low detection precision and high miss detection rate in potato identification tasks.[Methods]The backbone network was replaced with InceptionNeXt,and the CBAM dual attention mechanism was introduced,to enhance the model s multi-scale feature extraction capability.[Results]The improved YOLOv8s algorithm achieved an identification precision of 94.55%,a recall of 85.34%,and an F1-score of 87.37%in potato identification.Compared with the original algorithm,it improved precision by 7.40%,recall by 2.71%,and F1-score by 2.56%.The average processing time per image was reduced by 0.12 s compared with the unimproved algorithm.The results of simulation tests showed a success rate of 98.20%in 2000 simulated identifcation tests.[Conclusions]This study provides a high-precision and robust solution for potato identification tasks. 展开更多

The research on optimization methods for constellation launch deployment strategies focused on the consideration of mission interval time constraints at the launch site.Firstly,a dynamic modeling of the constellation deployment process was established,and the relationship between the deployment window and the phase difference of the orbit insertion point,as well as the cost of phase adjustment after orbit insertion,was derived.Then,the combination of the constellation deployment position sequence was treated as a parameter,together with the sequence of satellite deployment intervals,as optimization variables,simplifying a highdimensional search problem within a wide range of dates to a finite-dimensional integer programming problem.An improved genetic algorithm with local search on deployment dates was introduced to optimize the launch deployment strategy.With the new description of the optimization variables,the total number of elements in the solution space was reduced by N orders of magnitude.Numerical simulation confirms that the proposed optimization method accelerates the convergence speed from hours to minutes. 展开更多

Aiming at the problem that the existing algorithms for vehicle detection in smart factories are difficult to detect partial occlusion of vehicles,vulnerable to background interference,lack of global vision,and excessive suppression of real targets,which ultimately cause accuracy degradation.At the same time,to facilitate the subsequent positioning of vehicles in the factory,this paper proposes an improved YOLOv8 algorithm.Firstly,the RFCAConv module is combined to improve the original YOLOv8 backbone.Pay attention to the different features in the receptive field,and give priority to the spatial features of the receptive field to capture more vehicle feature information and solve the problem that the vehicle is partially occluded and difficult to detect.Secondly,the SFE module is added to the neck of v8,which improves the saliency of the target in the reasoning process and reduces the influence of background interference on vehicle detection.Finally,the head of the RT-DETR algorithm is used to replace the head in the original YOLOv8 algorithm,which avoids the excessive suppression of the real target while combining the context information.The experimental results show that compared with the original YOLOv8 algorithm,the detection accuracy of the improved YOLOv8 algorithm is improved by 4.6%on the self-made smart factory data set,and the detection speed also meets the real-time requirements of smart factory vehicle detection and subsequent vehicle positioning. 展开更多

With the development of high energy solid propellants,it is critical to evaluate the safety and power performance of solid propellants in the face of threats such as unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)when transporting and using them in contemporary warfare.An electric probe-type cylinder test measured the displacement-time behavior of NEPE high-energy solid propellant,and the parameters of the Jones-Wilkins-Lee(JWL)equation of state(EOS)were derived using particle swarm optimization(PSO)with the Gurney energy model.Further,the parameters of JWL-Miller EOS,determined through AUTODYN simulations,were validated by comparing airburst process simulations with experimental overpressure data.The study established a method for determining EOS parameters of high-energy propellants,achieving a high degree of accuracy.The derived parameters ensure precise modeling of propellant behavior,offering a reliable foundation for future applications in solid rocket motor performance optimization and safety assessment. 展开更多

Deep learning algorithm is an effective data mining method and has been used in many fields to solve practical problems.However,the deep learning algorithms often contain some hyper-parameters which may be continuous,integer,or mixed,and are often given based on experience but largely affect the effectiveness of activity recognition.In order to adapt to different hyper-parameter optimization problems,our improved Cuckoo Search(CS)algorithm is proposed to optimize the mixed hyper-parameters in deep learning algorithm.The algorithm optimizes the hyper-parameters in the deep learning model robustly,and intelligently selects the combination of integer type and continuous hyper-parameters that make the model optimal.Then,the mixed hyper-parameter in Convolutional Neural Network(CNN),Long-Short-Term Memory(LSTM)and CNN-LSTM are optimized based on the methodology on the smart home activity recognition datasets.Results show that the methodology can improve the performance of the deep learning model and whether we are experienced or not,we can get a better deep learning model using our method. 展开更多

This paper deeply introduces a brand-new research method for the synchronous characteristics of DC microgrid bus voltage and an improved synchronous control strategy.This method mainly targets the problem of bus voltage oscillation caused by the bifurcation behavior of DC microgrid converters.Firstly,the article elaborately establishes a mathematical model of a single distributed power source with hierarchical control.On this basis,a smallworld network model that can better adapt to the topology structure of DC microgrids is further constructed.Then,a voltage synchronization analysis method based on the main stability function is proposed,and the synchronous characteristics of DC bus voltage are deeply studied by analyzing the size of the minimum non-zero eigenvalue.In view of the situation that the line coupling strength between distributed power sources is insufficient to achieve bus voltage synchronization,this paper innovatively proposes a new improved adaptive controller to effectively control voltage synchronization.And the convergence of the designed controller is strictly proved by using Lyapunov’s stability theorem.Finally,the effectiveness and feasibility of the designed controller in this paper are fully verified through detailed simulation experiments.After comparative analysis with the traditional adaptive controller,it is found that the newly designed controller can make the bus voltages of each distributed power source achieve synchronization more quickly,and is significantly superior to the traditional adaptive controller in terms of anti-interference performance. 展开更多

To address the problem of high lifespan loss and poor state of charge(SOC)balance of electric vehicles(EVs)participating in grid peak shaving,an improved golden eagle optimizer(IGEO)algorithm for EV grouping control strategy is proposed for peak shaving sce-narios.First,considering the difference between peak and valley loads and the operating costs of EVs,a peak shaving model for EVs is constructed.Second,the design of IGEO has improved the global exploration and local development capabilities of the golden eagle optimizer(GEO)algorithm.Subsequently,IGEO is used to solve the peak shaving model and obtain the overall EV grid connected charging and discharging instructions.Next,using the k-means algorithm,EVs are dynamically divided into priority charging groups,backup groups,and priority discharging groups based on SOC differences.Finally,a dual layer power distribution scheme for EVs is designed.The upper layer determines the charging and discharging sequences and instructions for the three groups of EVs,whereas the lower layer allocates the charging and discharging instructions for each group to each EV.The proposed strategy was simulated and verified,and the results showed that the designed IGEO had faster optimization speed and higher optimization accuracy.The pro-posed EV grouping control strategy effectively reduces the peak-valley difference in the power grid,reduces the operational life loss of EVs,and maintains a better SOC balance for EVs. 展开更多

There is still a dearth of systematic study on picture stitching techniques for the natural tubular structures of intestines,and traditional stitching techniques have a poor application to endoscopic images with deep scenes.In order to recreate the intestinal wall in two dimensions,a method is developed.The normalized Laplacian algorithm is used to enhance the image and transform it into polar coordinates according to the characteristics that intestinal images are not obvious and usually arranged in a circle,in order to extract the new image segments of the current image relative to the previous image.The improved weighted fusion algorithm is then used to sequentially splice the segment images.The experimental results demonstrate that the suggested approach can improve image clarity and minimize noise while maintaining the information content of intestinal images.In addition,the method's seamless transition between the final portions of a panoramic image also demonstrates that the stitching trace has been removed. 展开更多

Managing type 2 diabetes mellitus remains a significant challenge,particularly for individuals with persistently poor glycemic control.Although inadequate glycemic regulation is a well-established public health concern and a major contributor to diabetes-related complications,evidence on the effectiveness of intensive and supportive interventions across diverse patient subgroups is scarce.This editorial examines findings from a prospective study evaluating the influence of glycemic history on treatment outcomes in poorly controlled diabetes.The study highlights that personalized care models outperform generalized approaches by addressing the unique trajectories of glycemic deterioration.Newly diagnosed patients demonstrated the most favorable response to intervention,while those with consistently elevated glycated hemoglobin(≥10%)faced the greatest challenges in achieving glycemic control.These findings underscore the limitations of a onesize-fits-all strategy,reinforcing the need for patient-centered care that integrates individualized monitoring and timely intervention.Diabetes management requires prioritizing personalized treatment strategies that mitigate therapeutic inertia and ensure equitable,effective care for all patients. 展开更多
