This is mainly because of physical and geometrical variations of road pixels, their spectral similarity to other features such as buildings, parking lots and sidewalks, and the obstruction by vehicles and trees. These problems are real obstacles in precise detection and identification of urban roads from high-resolution satellite imagery. One of the promising strategies to deal with this problem is using multi-sensors data to reduce the uncertainties of detection. In this paper, an integrated object-based analysis framework was developed for detecting and extracting various types of urban roads from high-resolution optical images and Lidar data. The proposed method is designed and implemented using a rule-oriented approach based on a masking strategy. The overall accuracy (OA) of the final road map was 89.2%, and the kappa coefficient of agreement was 0.83, which show the efficiency and performance of the method in different conditions and interclass noises. The results also demonstrate the high capability of this object-based method in simultaneous identification of a wide variety of road elements in complex urban areas using both high-resolution satellite images and Lidar data.展开更多

However, the distribution of its dominant tree species, Picea crassifolia (Qinghai spruce), has decreased dramatically in the past decades due to climate change and human activity, which may have influenced its ecological functions. To restore its ecological functions, reasonable reforestation is the key measure. Many previous efforts have predicted the potential distribution of Picea crassifolia, which provides guidance on regional reforestation policy. However, all of them were performed at low spatial resolution, thus ignoring the natural characteristics of the patchy distribution of Picea crassifolia. Here, we modeled the distribution of Picea crassifolia with species distribution models at high spatial resolutions. For many models, the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) is larger than 0.9, suggesting their excellent precision. The AUC of models at 30 m is higher than that of models at 90 m, and the current potential distribution of Picea crassifolia is more closely aligned with its actual distribution at 30 m, demonstrating that finer data resolution improves model performance. Besides, for models at 90 m resolution, annual precipitation (Bio12) played the paramount influence on the distribution of Picea crassifolia, while the aspect became the most important one at 30 m, indicating the crucial role of finer topographic data in modeling species with patchy distribution. The current distribution of Picea crassifolia was concentrated in the northern and central parts of the study area, and this pattern will be maintained under future scenarios, although some habitat loss in the central parts and gain in the eastern regions is expected owing to increasing temperatures and precipitation. Our findings can guide protective and restoration strategies for the Qilian Mountains, which would benefit regional ecological balance.展开更多

A low resolution model (LR) (1°lat by 2°lon) and a high-resolution model (HR) (0.5°lat by 0.5°lon) are employed for the comparison. The authors perform 20-yr numerical experiments and analyze the annual mean fields of temperature and salinity. The results indicate that the low-resolution model with data assimilation behaves better than the high-resolution model in the estimation of ocean large-scale features. From 1990 to 2000, the average of HR's RMSE (root-mean-square error) relative to independent Tropical Atmosphere Ocean project (TAO) mooring data at randomly selected points is 0.97℃ compared to a RMSE of 0.56℃ for LR with temperature assimilation. Moreover, the LR with data assimilation is more frugal in computation. Although there is room to improve the high-resolution model, the low-resolution model with data assimilation may be an advisable choice in achieving a more realistic large-scale state of the ocean at the limited level of information provided by the current observational system.展开更多

The study indicates that a controlled seismic source with a linear or nonlinear frequency-conversion scanning function and the relevant seismographs must be used in data acquisition, as well as working methods for small group interval, small offset, multi-channel receiving, short-array and high-frequency detectors for receiving are used. Attention should be paid to the application of techniques for static correction of refraction, noise suppressing, high-precision analysis of velocity, wavelet compressing, zero-phasing of wavelet and pre-stacking migration to data processing and interpretation. Finally, some cases of anti-disturbance and high-resolution shallow seismic exploration of urban active faults are present in the paper.展开更多

The satellite products, including CPC MORPHing technique(CMORPH), TMPA-RT, and PERSIANN are all near-real-time retrieved with high temporal and spatial resolutions. The numerical weather model used in this paper for precipitation forecasting is WRF. The results show that all three satellite products can basically reproduce the rainfall pattern, distribution, timing, scale, and extreme values of the event, compared with gauge data. Their temporal and spatial correlation coefficients with gauge data are as high as about 0.6, which is statistically significant at 0.01 level. The performance of the forecasted results modeled with different spatial resolutions are not as good as the satellite-estimated results, although their correlation coefficients are still statistically significant at 0.05 level. From the total rainfall and extreme value time series for the domain, it is clear that, from the grid-to-grid perspective, the passive microwave-based CMORPH and TRMM products are more accurate than the infrared-based PERSIANN, while PERSIANN performs very well from the general point of view, especially when considering the whole domain or the whole convective precipitation system. The forecasted data — especially the highest resolution model domain data — are able to represent the total or mean precipitation very well in the research domain, while for extreme values the errors are large. This study suggests that satellite-retrieved and model-forecasted rainfall data are a useful complement to gauge data, especially for areas without gauge stations and areas not covered by weather radars.展开更多

文摘The rapid urbanization and structural imbalances in Chinese megacities have exacerbated the housing supplydemand mismatch, creating an urgent need for fine-scale diagnostic tools. This study addresses this critical gap by developing the Housing Contradiction Evaluation Weighted Index(HCEWI)model, making three key contributions to high-resolution housing monitoring.First,we establish a tripartite theoretical framework integrating dynamic population pressure(PPI),housing supply potential(HSI),and functional diversity(HHI).The PPI innovatively combines mobile signaling data with principal component analysis to capture real-time commuting patterns, while the HSI introduces a novel dual-criteria system based on Local Climate Zones(LCZ),weighted by building density and residential function ratio.Second,we develop a spatiotemporal coupling architecture featuring an entropy-weighted dynamic integration mechanism with self-correcting modules, demonstrating robust performance against data noise.Third, our 25-month longitudinal analysis in Shenzhen reveals significant findings, including persistent bipolar clustering patterns, contrasting volatility between peripheral and core areas, and seasonal policy responsiveness.Methodologically,we advance urban diagnostics through 500-meter grid monthly monitoring and process-oriented temporal operators that reveal“tentacle-like”spatial restructuring along transit corridors. Our findings provide a replicable framework for precision housing governance and demonstrate the transformative potential of mobile signaling data in implementing China’s“city-specific policy”approach. We further propose targeted intervention strategies, including balance regulation for high-contradiction zones,Transit-Oriented Development(TOD)activation for low-contradiction clusters, and dynamic land conversion mechanisms for transitional areas.

文摘Recently, the Third Pole(TP)region has experienced rapid environmental changes.Meteorological data are essential for hydrometeorological and ecological applications but still have large uncertainties on the TP owing to the heterogeneous land surface, complex terrain, and sparse weather stations. In this study,a long-term(1979–2020)high-resolution(1/30°)meteorological forcing dataset for the TP(TPMFD)was developed,as a sister to the widely used China Meteorological Forcing Dataset(CMFD).The TPMFD comprises seven components necessary for driving land surface models. We have previously contributed precipitation and downward shortwave radiation data for the TPMFD,and this study presents the development of five other components and focuses on validations for all components.Specifically,2-meter air temperature,2-meter specific humidity,10-meter wind speed, and surface air pressure were generated by combining the fifth-generation atmospheric reanalysis for European Center for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts(ERA5),a short-term high-resolution atmospheric simulation, and in situ observations, and the downward longwave radiation was calculated using semi-physical parameterization. Both cross-validation and independent-validation demonstrated that most variables in the developed dataset outperformed those in widely used reanalysis datasets, including ERA5,ERA5-Land,and the Global Land Data Assimilation System(GLDAS).This dataset is expected to be beneficial for climate analyses and modeling applications of land-surface processes on the TP.

文摘The data of several rainfall products, including those estimated from satellite measurements and those forecasted via numerical weather modeling, for a severe debris-flow event in Zhouqu, Northwest China, are compared and analyzed in this paper. This study suggests that satellite-retrieved and model-forecasted rainfall data are a useful complement to gauge data, especially for areas without gauge stations and areas not covered by weather radars.
文摘This study cross-validates existing urban maps using point cloud models to update GIS related data. The model, as-built 3D data, is created to integrate with maps in an architectural CAD platform. The clouds are referred by existing vector maps to verify inconsistency and to update 3D spatial relationships between subjects and environment. The cloud model shows its top reference hierarchy as the updated data for topographic-derived urban maps.
