With the rapid development of IoT technology,the Fundamentals of IoT Hardware course—one of the core subjects in university IoT programs—urgently requires innovation and improvement in both its content and teaching methodology.This paper,based on an educational reform project funded by the Hainan Provincial University Education Program,explores how to effectively implement general education on Very Large-Scale Integration(VLSI)design and manufacturing within the Fundamentals of IoT Hardware course.The study conducts practical teaching experiments through innovative instructional models,visualized presentation of semiconductor device structures and processes,integration of industrial-grade simulation tools,and the application of cutting-edge technologies.The objective is to stimulate students’innovative thinking and enhance their hands-on abilities.Finally,this paper summarizes the outcomes of implementing VLSI general education in the course and offers relevant suggestions for further educational reform. 展开更多

The Role of Mindfulness in Foreign Language Anxiety:A Systematic Review of Correlational and Intervention Studies

Background:Foreign Language Anxiety(FLA)represents a substantial affective barrier that undermines cognitive performance,motivation,and retention in language learners.Emerging evidence highlights mindfulness-based interventions as promising strategies for enhancing emotional regulation and reducing anxiety across educational contexts.This review synthesizes current research on mindfulness as a psychological intervention,aims to evaluate its efficacy in alleviating FLA,and discusses its broader implications for health-focused educational policy and practice.Methods:Following PRISMA guidelines,we systematically reviewed studies examining the relationships between mindfulness and FLA.Our search of four major databases(November 2023)initially identified 346 articles using terms like“mindfulness AND language anxiety.”After screening,14 studies met our criteria:(1)empirical research in English on mindfulness-FLA relationships;(2)no publication date restrictions.Two independent reviewers selected studies,excluding two due to methodological limitations.We conducted a narrative synthesis given the study heterogeneity(9 correlational and 5 intervention studies).Results:9 non-intervention studies demonstrated that mindfulness is negatively associated with FLA,with 3 studies highlighting the mediating roles of self-efficacy and resilience.5 intervention studies reported inconsistent results regarding the efficacy of mindfulness-based interventions in reducing FLA.Conclusions:The findings suggest that while mindfulness holds promise as a tool to address FLA,its mechanisms and effectiveness require further investigation.This study underscores the need for rigorous research,including Randomized Controlled Trials(RCTs),to inform evidence-based integration of mindfulness into foreign language curricula.For educational policymakers and practitioners,these insights highlight the importance of adopting mindfulness interventions cautiously,ensuring they are tailored to students’needs and supported by evidence. 展开更多

The evaluation of social practice outcomes is a critical component of the social practice mechanisms in colleges and universities,serving as a core index to assess the effectiveness of practice activities and the quality of student training.This paper employs CiteSpace to analyze references,keyword co-occurrence maps,time zone maps,and time diagrams,identifying key research hotspots in social practice evaluation systems domestically and internationally.These hotspots include the construction of evaluation indicators,evaluation pathways,and methods.Additionally,this study compares and summarizes the evolution of social practice evaluation systems across regions.It highlights that foreign social practice evaluation systems are characterized by diverse interpretative paradigms,an emphasis on students’self-reflection during the evaluation process,and more robust theoretical foundations.These findings provide valuable insights for domestic colleges and universities seeking to build social practice evaluation systems with relevant content and effective results. 展开更多

Lying flat(Tang Ping)is a prevalent way of life in contemporary countries throughout the world.It is an avoidance behavior chosen by individuals in response to limited social resources and ongoing harsh social competition.Previous studies have demonstrated that the phenomena of“lying flat”has a major negative effect on student learning.In order to investigate the impact of educational innovation on the phenomenon of“lying flat”,we will observe students’learning behaviors under the traditional education model and innovative teaching methods in our Bali teaching practice to determine the causes of“lying flat”and the means to improve educational innovation.The study found that“lying flat”is caused not just by students’discontent with their level difference,but also by the conflict between external resources and internal pressure.In addition,educational reforms on three levels,including further stratified education,strengthening teacher education and promoting effective communication between students and teachers,and employing online resources to promote students’interest in learning,can ameliorate the phenomenon of pupils“lying flat”.This study contends that educational innovation can have a positive effect on the phenomena of“lying flat”. 展开更多

The Elderly Servic... The significance of rehabilitation-promoting nursing care is emphasized in aging Finland. According to studies, rehabilitation-promoting nursing care enhances the functional capacity of the elderly. The Elderly Services Act obliges municipalities to create a plan to support the elderly population, emphasizing home care and rehabilitation measures. A large portion of graduated practical nurses will be working with the elderly, so the education of practical nurses must meet the needs of the workforce. The study aimed to produce new information on the implementation of rehabilitation- promoting nursing care in the elderly service system and on the education of rehabilitation-promoting nursing care for the elderly in vocational institutions. The research data was collected in the autumn of 2020 through individual thematic interviews with practical nurse students (n = 8). The data was analyzed using inductive content analysis. Practical nurse students’ experiences of rehabilitation-promoting nursing care for the elderly were related to nurses’ time management, organizational practices, nursing competence, nurses’ attitudes, nurses’ practices, organizational development, implementation and development of practical education, factors affecting the use of aids, and technological aspects of aids in the future. In conclusion, it can be stated that the content of education and practical work life do not align. It is essential to increase competence in rehabilitation-promoting nursing care and to develop organizational practices. 展开更多

Starting from these premises, it is fundamental to reinterpret education from the perspective of the concept of care. To contribute to the development of this pedagogical debate, the aim of this paper is to identify the ways of behaving which qualify the competence of an educator as capable of providing care. This is a central pedagogical question; indeed, since the practice of care occurs in relationships where the educator is the subject responsible for ensuring that the relationship is permeated by care. Publications of articles with physical literacy as a topic have increased dramatically since the beginning of 2000 s. The aim of this paper is to,through an explorative literature overview with an inductive approach, analyze frequent, and significant themes in published peer reviewed articles,with a focus on physical literacy. The database EBSCO has been used with the identifiers “physical literacy” and “physical literacy and evidence”.Furthermore ICSSPE Bulletin's special issue on physical literacy has been included in the overview. The findings have resulted in three key themes: assumptions of the concept physical literacy and its educative role, sports development and physical literacy, and assessment and physical literacy. Future studies are needed to examine if the advocated pedagogical strategies based on the concept physical literacy have led to a reorganized and revitalized school subject. There is also an existing critique towards making physical literacy an idealistic neutral concept or synonym with fundamental movement skills or sports talent identification. The role of higher education emerges as crucial for the next step of the development of the scientific framework as this involves how physical literacy will be socially configured, nurtured, and embodied in practice.Copyright ó 2015, Shanghai University of Sport.
