Additionally, 5 619.5 m of artificial shoreline has been developed as part of the ecological restoration efforts. Various methods, including UAV remote sensing, orthophoto acquisition, and analysis using ArcGIS software, were employed to assess the length, width, coverage, and other relevant indicators of the newly established ecologically restored shoreline. The findings indicate that the average width, coverage, and ecosystem stability of mangrove forests in the restored area satisfy the criteria for the acceptance of ecological shoreline restoration. Furthermore, a relatively stable ecosystem has been established for over two years. This study offers a scientific foundation for the ecological restoration of mangrove forests and holds considerable significance for the conservation and utilization of mangrove forest resources.展开更多

Based on the Regional Ocean Modeling System-Carbon–Silicate–Nitrate Ecosystem coupled model, the influence of Typhoon Bolaven(2012) on physical and ecological variables in the East China Sea and the underlying mechanisms were investigated. The results showed that the typhoon induced intense vertical mixing in the upper ocean, leading to sea surface cooling, increased salinity, nutrient concentrations, and phytoplankton blooms. Conversely, warming, reduced salinity, and decreased nutrient concentrations occurred in the subsurface layer. In the Yangtze River Estuary, the passage of typhoons effectively affected wind and current directions, shaping the dipole distribution patterns of the environmental elements. Diagnostic analysis indicated that tropical cyclone-induced horizontal advection is key in driving changes in both the physical and ecological variables within the estuary region. This study provides novel insights into the physical-ecological coupling processes and driving mechanisms governing oceanic environmental changes during typhoon events, particularly in the waters adjacent to the Yangtze River Estuary.展开更多

文摘Industrial activities have contributed so much to the pollution of water bodies and these pollutions have adversely affected the aquatic ecosystem. This study aimed to investigate the ecological risk evaluation of heavy metal accumulation in Aba River bottom sediments:implications for soap and detergent industry wastewater management.Varian AA240 Atomic absorption spectrometer was used to analyse heavy metals.Individual and complex ecological indices were used to evaluate heavy metal contamination in bottom sediments.According to the results, the heavy metal properties of the wastewater indicated that Fe,Pb,Cd,Cr and Cu mean concentration values were higher than the World Health Organization(WHO)and the National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency(NESREA)permissible limits.Heavy metal properties of the surface water in Aba River(dry seasons)showed that Pb,Cd,Cu,Mn,Fe,and Cr,mean concentrations were above the NESREA,WHO and U.S.Environmental Protection Agency(USEPA)permissible limits.Heavy metal properties of the bottom sediments of Aba River(wet and dry season)showed that Pb,Cd,and Fe mean concentrations were significantly higher than the NESREA,WHO and USEPA permissible limits. The heavy metal contamination factor(CF)of sediments obtained from Aba River during the wet and dry season was low and the CFs of each of the assayed heavy metals were less than 1(CD<1).This also signifies the existence of a low contamination in the sediments of the course streams of Aba River during wet and dry season. The pollution load index(PLI)values of Aba River(sediment)indicated that there is no metal pollution at PLI<1 in the sampled sediments. The potential ecological risk index(RI)of Aba River was less than 150(RI<150)indicating a low ecological RI.Abatement of pollutants in the wastewater to permissible concentrations required for natural environment protection is needed.

文摘We measured the content of six heavy-metal elements(Co,Cu,Zn,As,Cd,Pb)in 72 lake surface-sediment samples from the Xizang Autonomous Region(referred to as Xizang)of China, and calculated four indices:enrichment factor(EF),geo-accumulation index(Igeo),pollution load index(PLI),and a comprehensive potential ecological risk index(RI)to explore the differences in the accumulation and the major sources of heavy metals, and to reveal the role of human activities in the ecological environment of high-elevation cold regions. Results show that the heavy-metal contents in lake surface sediment samples in eastern Xizang are much higher than those in central and western areas, and are also higher than the background value of surface soils.Their distribution can be related to regional sources of heavy metals:natural parent material(western Xizang),agriculture(eastern Xizang),mining-related industrial sources(central Xizang),and degree of development of road network(all of Xizang). The majority of lakes in Xizang have a relatively low risk of ecological harm, but there are notable regional peculiarities in the element content and evaluation indices and the lakes in eastern Xizang are at higher risk than those in central and western parts.Lakes at higher ecological risk(such as Lake Butuo(Lake 71)and Samu Co(Lake 68)),remind us that the potential influence of heavy-metal enrichment on lake sediments and aquatic plants should not be overlooked.

文摘Scale effects and evaluation models are crucial to the accuracy of landscape ecological risk evaluation. However, most studies conduct these evaluations at a single scale or with a single model, ignoring potential scale effects and changes in landscape patterns. To address this,we took the Leshan City in Sichuan Province of China as a study case.We determined that the optimal spatial granularity for the study area is 150 m by analyzing the sensitivities of eight landscape pattern indices such as landscape fragmentation, landscape spreading, and Shannon's diversity at different spatial granularities, and employing the inflection point identification method.Building on this,we constructed a landscape pattern index model(ERI model)and a landscape pattern index model coupled with the ecological process of soil erosion(SI-ERI model)by incorporating the natural geographic factors of the study area.We used the ERI and SI-ERI models to evaluate the landscape ecological risk of Leshan City across multiple scales, including ecological, administrative, and sample scales. After conducting overlay and spatial autocorrelation analyses of the multi-scale evaluation results,we determined that the administrative scale is optimal for evaluating landscape ecological risk in the study area.At this scale,we verified the accuracy and reliability of the two models'evaluation results against the actual ecological environment in typical areas within the study area. The findings indicated that the SI-ERI model provided more precise and accurate spatial characterization, effectively reflecting the actual landscape ecological risk of Leshan City.According to the SI-ERI model's evaluation results at the administrative scale,Leshan City's overall risk level is relatively low, with good ecological environmental quality.Low-risk areas constitute 56.16%and medium-low-risk areas make up 23.81%,aligning closely with the city's actual situation. This study thus offers a scientific basis and theoretical reference for managing ecological risks and planning urban development in Leshan City.

文摘To address the contradiction between the rapid development of ski tourism and effective protection of the ecological environment, this study constructed the DPSIR-EES(Drive-Pressures-State-Impact-Response-Environment-Economy-Society)model and Ski Tourism Destination Ecological Security System(STDESS)framework system. They form an integrated methodology system based on the“entropy weighting-hierarchical analysis-gray correlation projection”composite weighting method that can be used to clarify the intrinsic mechanism of ecological security in ski tourism destinations.Taking Chongli as a case study, this study evaluated the evolution of its ecological security from 1995 to 2023,predicted the ecological security early warning levels from 2024 to 2050,and analyzed the mechanism of influences on regional ecological security. The findings indicate that the ecological security of ski tourism destinations shows a significant“stepped leap–dynamic equilibrium”evolutionary path. The dynamic response mechanism of the subsystems is characterized by significant heterogeneity. The ecological security early warning system revealed the temporal and sequential differentiation of risk transmission. The factors influencing ecological security show the significant dual dominance of policy and climate. This paper enhances the applicability of ecological security systems within ski tourism contexts by analyzing their evolutionary characteristics, predicted future changes and impact factors, and it provides an effective case study for ecological improvement.

文摘With the improvement of living standards and the shift in societal consumption attitudes, consumers demand for the quality of aquatic products is increasingly stringent.Freshness and quality have become primary factors determining consumers purchasing decisions. However, due to the high moisture content, active endogenous enzymes, and rich nutrients in aquatic products, both fresh and processed products are highly susceptible to quality deterioration during procurement, distribution, and storage, which leads to a significant decline in sensory quality and nutritional value, while also compromising safety.Today, the consumption of high-quality aquatic products has become a prevailing trend. This paper reviewed the methods for freshness evaluation and quality grading of aquatic products in terms of sensory and nutritional aspects, aiming to support the market circulation principle of"higher price for better quality"and"price based on quality",and better meeting consumer demands. Therefore,it is imperative to enhance the analysis and evaluation of aquatic product quality and to continuously refine assessment systems and methods, which is crucial for promoting industry transformation and fostering a healthy market-consumer economic cycle.

文摘It is well recognized that Structural Health Monitoring(SHM)reliability evaluation is a key aspect that needs to be urgently addressed to promote the wide application of SHM methods. However, the existing studies typically transfer the Non-Destructive Testing/Evaluation(NDT/E)reliability metrics to SHM without a systematic analysis of where these metrics originated.Seldom attentions are paid to the evaluation conditions which are very important to apply these metrics.Aimed at this issue,a new condition control-based Dual-Reliability Evaluation(Dual-RE)method for SHM is proposed. This new method is proposed based on a systematic analysis of the whole framework of reliability evaluation from instrument to NDT,and emphasis is paid to the evaluation condition control.Based on these analyses, considering the special online application scenario of SHM,the proposed Dual-RE method contains two key components:Integrated Sensor-based SHM-RE(IS-SHM-RE)and Critical Service Condition-based SHM-RE(CSC-SHM-RE).ISSHM-RE evaluates the reliability of integrated SHM sensor and system themselves under approximate repeatability conditions, while CSC-SHM-RE assesses SHM reliability under the dominant uncertainties during service, namely intermediate conditions. To demonstrate the Dual-RE,crack monitoring by using the Guided Wave-based-SHM(GW-SHM)on aircraft lug structures is taken as a case study. Both the crack detection and sizing performance are evaluated from accuracy and uncertainty.

文摘Addressing the widespread issues of internal fragmentation within protected areas and the neglect of surrounding critical habitat networks, this study aims to develop an assessment framework for the precise identification and remediation of regional conservation gaps.To this end,we introduce the Framework for Conservation Priority Identification(FCPI).The framework integrates Morphological Spatial Pattern Analysis(MSPA),the Remote Sensing Ecological Index(RSEI),Circuit Theory, and the Minimum Cumulative Resistance(MCR)model to formulate a multidimensional conservation priority index. This index facilitates the identification of critical ecological network components and enables the dynamic prioritization of conservation efforts.A case study of Fuzhou City from 2014 to 2020 reveals that despite an overall improvement in regional environmental quality, the functionality of core ecological sources has markedly declined.Between 2014 and 2020,the number of ecological sources grew by 76.9%,yet their total area shrank by 13.9%.Concurrently,the number of ecological corridors rose from 27 to 53,extending their total length by 380.23 km,which indicates an intensifying trend of habitat fragmentation.Furthermore,a significant number of crucial ecological network nodes, particularly within Minhou County, lie explicitly outside the existing protected area system. This confirms the presence of conservation gaps and unveils the spatiotemporal dynamics of shifting conservation priorities. The research validates that the proposed FCPI can effectively diagnose the dynamic deficiencies within conservation systems. It offers scientific decisionsupport for local governments, facilitating a transition from isolated conservation efforts towards systematic and comprehensive ecological network governance.

文摘Typhoons are strong air–sea interactions that significantly affect the physical and biogeochemical processes of the upper ocean. This study provides novel insights into the physical-ecological coupling processes and driving mechanisms governing oceanic environmental changes during typhoon events, particularly in the waters adjacent to the Yangtze River Estuary.

文摘Conventional ultrasound(US)evaluation of enthesitis in psoriatic arthritis(PsA)is limited by its inability to quantify metabolic alterations such as hypoxia,a key driver of disease activity. We introduce an oxygenation-integrated multimodal photoacoustic/ultrasound(PA/US)imaging framework designed to quantify entheseal oxygen saturation(SO_(2))for assessing entheseal disease activity in PsA.In this cross-sectional study,25 PsA patients underwent bilateral PA/US imaging of 12 entheses, where ultrasound lesions were scored using the Outcome Measures in Rheumatology scoring system, and PA-derived SO_(2) levels, quantified via dual-wavelength PA imaging, were classified into hyperoxia or hypoxia groups using k-means clustering. This approach provides metabolic insights complementary to conventional ultrasonic assessment.A composite score integrating hypoxia with US parameters was validated against clinical disease activity indices(Disease Activity Score 28-C-reactive protein,DAS28-CRP;Disease Activity Index for Psoriatic Arthritis,DAPSA).Among 300 entheses,103(34.3%)exhibited PA positivity, with 40(38.8%)classified as hypoxia.Hypoxia scores independently predicted DAS28-CRP(β=0.618,p=0.001)and DAPSA(β=0.612,p<0:001).The hypoxia-optimized PAUS score demonstrated superior correlation with disease activity indices compared to conventional US(DAS28-CRP:r=0.615,p=0.001 versus r=0.474,p=0.017;DAPSA:r=0.743,p<0:001 versus r=0.567,p=0.003),alongside superior diagnostic accuracy for minimal disease activity(area under the curve,AUC 0.776 versus 0.614,p=0.008)and low disease activity(AUC 0.853 versus 0.772,p=0.009).This multimodal scoring system enhances the stratification of PsA disease activity by providing unique metabolic insights, offering a potential tool for therapeutic monitoring and guiding treat-to-target strategies.

文摘Livestock farming is a critical pillar of Tajikistan’s national economy and livelihood security. However, significant economic challenges in the country have led to the degradation of grassland ecosystems. This degradation has not only reduced the productivity of grassland ecosystems but also severely impacted their ecological functions.A particularly concerning consequence is the threat to biodiversity,as the survival and persistence of endemic, rare, and endangered plant species are at serious risk, thereby diminishing the value of species’genetic resources.Based on the data from multiple sources such as literature reviews, field observations, and national statistics, this study employed a systematic literature review and meta-analysis to investigate the current status, causes of degradation, and restoration measures for grassland ecosystems in Tajikistan. The results revealed that Tajikistan’s grassland ecosystems support exceptionally high plant species diversity, comprising over 4500 vascular plant species, including nearly 1500 endemic and sub-endemic taxa that constitute a unique genetic reservoir. These ecosystems are experiencing severe degradation, characterized by significantly reduced vegetation cover and declining species richness.Palatable forage species are increasingly being displaced by unpalatable, thorny, and poisonous species. The primary drivers of degradation include excessive grazing pressure, which disrupts plant reproductive cycles and regeneration capacity, habitat fragmentation due to urbanization and infrastructure development, and uncontrolled exploitation of medicinal and edible plants.Climate change, particularly rising temperatures and altered precipitation patterns, further exacerbates these anthropogenic pressures.Ecological restoration experiments suggested that both ecosystem productivity and plant species diversity are significantly enhanced by systematic reseeding trials using altitude-adapted native species. These findings underscore the necessity of establishing scientifically grounded approaches for ecological restoration.

文摘Rock brittleness is a critical property in geotechnical and energy engineering,as it directly influences the prediction of rock failure and stability assessment.Although numerous methods have been developed to evaluate brittleness, many fail to comprehensively account for the impacts of microstructural changes, mineralogical characteristics, and stress conditions on energy evolution during failure. This study proposes a novel approach for brittleness evaluation based on the energy evolution throughout the post-peak failure process, integrating two micromechanical mechanisms:crack propagation and frictional sliding.A new brittleness index is defined as the ratio of generated surface energy to released elastic energy, providing a unified framework for assessing both Class I and Class II mechanical behaviors. The brittleness of cyan, white, and gray sandstones was investigated under various confining pressures and moisture conditions using X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),and conventional triaxial compression(CTC)tests. The results demonstrate that brittleness decreases with increasing confining pressure, due to suppressed crack propagation, and increases under saturated conditions,as moisture enhances crack propagation.By establishing connections between mineral composition, microstructural features, and stress-induced responses, the proposed method overcame limitations of previous approaches and offered a more precise tool for evaluating rock brittleness under diverse environmental scenarios.
