To investigate the wind⁃induced vibration re⁃sponse characteristics of multispan double⁃layer cable photo⁃voltaic(PV)support structures,wind tunnel tests using an aeroelastic model were carried out to obtain the wind⁃induced vibration response data of a three⁃span four⁃row double⁃layer cable PV support system.The wind⁃induced vibration characteristics with different PV module tilt angles,wind speeds,and wind direction angles were analyzed.The results showed that the double⁃layer cable large⁃span flexible PV support can effectively control the wind⁃induced vibration response and prevent the occur⁃rence of flutter under strong wind conditions.The maxi⁃mum value of the wind⁃induced vibration displacement of the flexible PV support system occurs in the windward first row.The upstream module has a significant shading effect on the downstream module,with a maximum effect of 23%.The most unfavorable wind direction angles of the structure are 0°and 180°.The change of the wind direction angle in the range of 0°to 30°has little effect on the wind vi⁃bration response.The change in the tilt angle of the PV modules has a greater impact on the wind vibration in the downwind direction and a smaller impact in the upwind di⁃rection.Special attention should be paid to the structural wind⁃resistant design of such systems in the upwind side span. 展开更多

To ensure an uninterrupted power supply,mobile power sources(MPS)are widely deployed in power grids during emergencies.Comprising mobile emergency generators(MEGs)and mobile energy storage systems(MESS),MPS are capable of supplying power to critical loads and serving as backup sources during grid contingencies,offering advantages such as flexibility and high resilience through electricity delivery via transportation networks.This paper proposes a design method for a 400 V–10 kV Dual-Winding Induction Generator(DWIG)intended for MEG applications,employing an improved particle swarmoptimization(PSO)algorithmbased on a back-propagation neural network(BPNN).A parameterized finite element(FE)model of the DWIG is established to derive constraints on its dimensional parameters,thereby simplifying the optimization space.Through sensitivity analysis between temperature rise and electromagnetic loss of the DWIG,the main factors influencing the machine’s temperature are identified,and electromagnetic loss is determined as the optimization objective.To obtain an accurate fitting function between electromagnetic loss and dimensional parameters,the BPNN is employed to predict the nonlinear relationship between the optimization objective and the parameters.The Latin hypercube sampling(LHS)method is used for random sampling in the FE model analysis for training,testing,and validation,which is then applied to compute the cost function in the PSO.Based on the relationships obtained by the BPNN,the PSO algorithm evaluates the fitness and cost functions to determine the optimal design point.The proposed optimization method is validated by comparing simulation results between the initial design and the optimized design. 展开更多

With the development of high-frequency and highvoltagetraction machines(TM)incorporating hairpin windings(HW)and SiC inverters for electric vehicles(EV),both theinterturn voltage stress and temperature within HW are rising,increasing the risk of partial discharge(PD),and presentingsignificant challenges to insulation safety.Therefore,this paperaddresses this issue and proposes potential solutions.Firstly,thepaper examines an 8-pole,48-slot,6-layer HW TM to highlightthe unique characteristics of this winding structure,and explainsthe uneven distribution of interturn voltage stress andtemperature.Subsequently,a high-frequency equivalent circuitmodel of the HW TM prototype is developed.The error ofsimulation and experiment is only 5.7%,which proves theaccuracy of the model.Then,an improved HW scheme isproposed to lower the maximum voltage stress by 29.3%.Furthermore,the temperature distribution of HW TM isanalyzed to facilitate a detailed examination of the impact oftemperature on insulation PD.Finally,the partial dischargeinception voltage(PDIV)of interturn insulation,consideringtemperature effects,is calculated and verified throughexperiment.The paper proposes a reliability-oriented designmethod and process for HW TM.It demonstrates that thereliability-oriented design can achieve PD-free performance inthe design stage of HW. 展开更多

Two-dimensional double-layer honeycomb(DLHC)materials are known for their diverse physical properties,but superconductivity has been a notably absent characteristic in this structure.We address this gap by investigating M_(2)N_(2)(M=Nb,Ta)with DLHC structure using first-principles calculations.Our results show that M_(2)N_(2)are stable and metallic,exhibiting superconducting behavior.Specifically,Nb_(2)N_(2)and Ta_(2)N_(2)display superconducting transition temperatures of 6.8 K and 8.8 K,respectively.Their electron-phonon coupling is predominantly driven by the coupling between metal d-orbitals and low-frequency metal-dominated vibration modes.Interestingly,two compounds also exhibit non-trivial band topology.Thus,M_(2)N_(2)are promising platforms for studying the interplay between topology and superconductivity and fill the gap in superconductivity research for DLHC materials. 展开更多

A numerical method to predict the bursting strength of filament wound composite rocket motor case is proposed here.This method can evaluate the longitudinal stress evolution of each composite layer as impregnated filaments with fiber tension are wound layer by layer,and consider the effects of accumulated stress and deformation during filament winding on the bursting strength of composite case.Taking∅520 mm composite cases as a case study,the filament-winding-process-induced stress and deformation as well as progressive damage behavior are numerically predicted,followed by a comparison with experimental results.The numerical results show that the predicted bursting pressures for composite cases manufactured on the mandrels with and without a flexible component are 14.20 MPa and 21.40 MPa,respectively.These values exhibit slight deviation from the measured pressures of 13.50 MPa and 21.57 MPa.Moreover,the predicted damage locations,situated respectively in the dome and cylinder,agree well with the experimental observation.These observations indicate that use of flexible component reduces the load-bearing capacity of the domes.Furthermore,it validates the reliability and accuracy of the proposed numerical method in predicting the bursting strength of composite cases. 展开更多

In permanent magnet synchronous machine(PMSM) drives, temperature information is critical to achieve reliable and high-performance control. The popular model-based estimation methods are based on extracting temperature dependent terms from the voltages using the machine model. The estimation accuracy under low speed or load can be greatly affected by the model uncertainty and noise due to low signal-tonoise ratio. This paper presents a high frequency(HF) position offset injection-based winding and permanent magnet(PM) temperature decoupled estimation approach for PMSMs to achieve accurate and robust temperature estimation among a wide speed range especially under low-speed conditions. In the proposed approach, a small HF position offset is injected into the machine to construct a decoupled winding and PM temperature estimation model, in which the winding and PM temperatures are independently estimated from HF excitations. The temperature estimation is independent from the fundamental model and parameter variation, and it achieves high signal-tonoise ratio under low-speed conditions. Moreover, the temperature estimation is also not affected by magnetic saturation and inverter distortion, which can improve the accuracy and robustness of temperature estimation. The proposed approach is validated with experiments and comparisons on a laboratory machine under various operating conditions. 展开更多

This study investigates the width of the secondary eyewall(SE)immediately following its formation in tropical cyclones with surface environmental winds aligned and counter-aligned with environmental vertical wind shear(VWS),using idealized numerical experiments.Results reveal that the SE develops greater radial extent when surface winds align with VWS compared to counter-aligned conditions.In alignment configurations,shear-enhanced surface winds on the right flank amplify surface enthalpy fluxes,thereby elevating boundary-layer entropy within the downshear outer-core region.Subsequently,more vigorous outer rainbands develop,inducing marked acceleration of tangential winds in the outer core preceding SE formation.The resultant radial expansion of supergradient winds near the boundary-layer top triggers widespread convective activity immediately beyond the inner core.Progressive axisymmetrization of this convective forcing ultimately generates an expansive SE structure. 展开更多

Coordinated Source-Network-Storage Inertia Control Strategy Based on Wind Power Transmission via MMC-HVDC System

In wind power transmission via modular multilevel converter based high voltage direct current(MMCHVDC)systems,under traditional control strategies,MMC-HVDCcannot provide inertia support to the receiving-end grid(REG)during disturbances.Moreover,due to the frequency decoupling between the two ends of the MMCHVDC,the sending-end wind farm(SEWF)cannot obtain the frequency variation information of the REG to provide inertia response.Therefore,this paper proposes a novel coordinated source-network-storage inertia control strategy based on wind power transmission via MMC-HVDC system.First,the grid-side MMC station(GS-MMC)maps the frequency variations of the REG to direct current(DC)voltage variations through the frequency mapping control,and uses submodule capacitor energy to provide inertial power.Then,the wind farm-side MMC station(WF-MMC)restores the DC voltage variations to frequency variations through the frequency restoration control and power loss compensation,providing real-time frequency information for the wind farm.Finally,based on real-time frequency information,thewind farmutilizes the rotor kinetic energy and energy storage to provide fast and lasting power support through the wind-storage coordinated inertia control strategy.Meanwhile,when the wind turbines withdraw from the inertia response phase,the energy storage can increase the power output to compensate for the power deficit,preventing secondary frequency drops.Furthermore,this paper uses small-signal analysis to determine the appropriate values for the key parameters of the proposed control strategy.A simulation model of the wind power transmission via MMCHVDC system is built in MATLAB/Simulink environment to validate and evaluate the proposed method.The results show that the proposed coordinated control strategy can effectively improve the system inertia level and avoid the secondary frequency drop under the load sudden increase condition. 展开更多

Monocolumn composite bucket foundation is a new type of offshore wind energy foundation.Its bearing characteristics under shallow bedrock conditions and complex geological conditions have not been extensively studied.Therefore,to analyze its bearing characteristics under complex conditions-such as silty soil,chalky soil,and shallow bedrock-this paper employs finite element software to establish various soil combination scenarios.The load-displacement curves of the foundations under these scenarios are calculated to subsequently evaluate the horizontal ultimate bearing capacity.This study investigates the effects of shallow bedrock depth,the type of soil above the bedrock,the thickness of layered soil,and the quality of layered soil on the bearing characteristics of the monocolumn composite bucket foundation.Based on the principle of single-variable control,the ultimate bearing capacity characteristics of the foundation under different conditions are compared.The distribution of soil pressure inside and outside the bucket wall on the compressed side of the foundation,along with the plastic strain of the soil at the base of the foundation,is also analyzed.In conclusion,shallow bedrock somewhat reduces foundation bearing capacity.Under shallow bedrock conditions,the degree of influence on foundation bearing capacity characteristics can considerably vary on different upper soils.The thickness of each soil layer and the depth to bedrock in stratified soils also affect the bearing capacity of the foundation.The findings of this paper provide a theoretical reference for related foundation design and construction.In practice,the bearing performance of the foundation can be enhanced by improvingthe soil quality in the bucket,adjusting the penetration depth,adjusting the percentage of different types of soil layers in the bucket,and applying other technical construction methods. 展开更多

It proposes an optimal combination of calculating the tangential point amount and skip point amount to make the pattern distribution even and keep the minimal adjusting angle. The S-elbow overall winding pattem plan and simulation module are designed to verify the combined winding pattern design method and the calculation algorithm of the tangential point amount and skip point amount. From the pattern distribution and the simula- tion effect analysis, it shows that this combined winding pattern design method is a good solution to the S-elbow combined winding pattern design. Aimed at the S-elbow winding pattern based on the patch winding method, it carries out the precision error analysis and points out the correspondence between the error and mesh size. Generally speaking, the bigger the mesh size is, the quicker the program calculation speed is; the smaller the mesh size is, the smaller the winding pattern error is. 展开更多

In order to establish the relationship between the measured dynamic response and the health status of long-span bridges, a double-layer model updating method for steel-concrete composite beam cable-stayed bridges is proposed. Measured frequencies are selected as the first-layer reference data, and the mass of the bridge deck, the grid density, the modulus of concrete and the ballast on the side span are modified by using a manual tuning technique. Measured global positioning system (GPS) data is selected as the second-layer reference data, and the degradation of the integral structure stiffness EI of the whole bridge is taken into account for the second-layer model updating by using the finite element iteration algorithm. The Nanpu Bridge in Shanghai is taken as a case to verify the applicability of the proposed model updating method. After the first-layer model updating, the standard deviation of modal frequencies is smaller than 7%. After the second-layer model updating, the error of the deflection of the mid-span is smaller than 10%. The integral structure stiffness of the whole bridge decreases about 20%. The research results show a good agreement between the calculated response and the measured response. 展开更多

It consists of two layers of rubber, where metal wires are laid in the inner layer and the outer layer has no inlaid metal wires. Stress, strain and temperature field of DLRF were calculated with ANSYS finite element analysis (FEA) software, FL of DLRF RW was also computed with fracture mechanics fatigue theory. The results of computation indicate that the heat generated in RW's rubber flange (RF) can be reduced by the use of DLRF, and the FL of RW can be increased without affecting the mechanical intensity of RW. 展开更多

The models for calculating the fluctuating components are put forward.Simulation and computation results show that the rotor winding faults will cause electromagnetictorque and rotating speed to fluctuate; and fluctuating frequencies are the same and their magnitudewill increase with the rise of the severity of the faults. The load inertia affects the torque andspeed fluctuation, with the increase of inertia, the fluctuation of the torque will rise, while thecorresponding speed fluctuation will obviously decline. 展开更多

To guarantee the safety of the high speed maglev train system, a novel model based on the winding function theory is proposed for the long-stator linear synchronous motor(LSM), which is suitable for the real-time calculation of the running state. The accurate coupled mathematical models under different internal fault conditions of the LSM are derived based on the normal model. Then the fault currents and electromagnetic forces are simulated and calculated for the major potential internal faults of the LSM, such as the single-phase short circuit, the phase-phase short circuit and the single-phase open circuit. The characteristic curve between the electromagnetic force and the armature current of the LSM, which is compared with the results from the finite element method, proves the validation of the proposed method. The fault rule is determined and the proposed analytical model also shows its feasibility in the fast fault diagnosis through the comparison of the simulation results of currents and electromagnetic forces under different internal fault types and short circuit ratios. 展开更多

The aim of the study was to develop actarit double-layered osmotic pump tablets to overcome the weak points of actarit common tablets, such as short half-life and large plasma concentration fluctuations. Single factor experiment and orthogonal test were applied to optimize the formulation;the pharmacokinetic study was performed in beagle dogs adopting actarit common tablets as reference tablets. The optimal formulation was as follows: drug layer: 150 mg actarit, 240 mg PEO-N80, 50 mg NaCl;push layer: 140 mg PEO-WSR303, 20 mg NaCl;coating solution: 30 g cellulose acetate and 6 g PEG 4000 in 1000 ml 94% acetone solution, 60 mg coating weight gain. The pharmacokinetic study showed that T max was prolonged by the contrast of commercial common tablets with constant drug release rate, but the bioavailability was equivalent. And a good in vivo –in vitro correlation of the actarit osmotic pump tablets was also established. The designed actarit osmotic pump tablets can be applied for rheumatoid arthritis, proposing a promising replacement for the marked common products. 展开更多

Filament winding has emerged as the main process for carbon fiber reinforced plastic(CFRP) fabrication, and tension control plays a key role in enhancing the quality of the winding products. With the continuous improvement of prod?uct quality and e ciency, the precision of the tension control system is constantly improving. In this paper, a novel tension control method is proposed, which can regulate the fiber tension and transport speed of the winding process by governing the outputs of three di erent driven rollers(the torque of the unwind roll, the torque of the magnetic powder brake roller, and the speed of the master speed roller) in three levels. The mechanical structures and dynamic models of the driven rollers and idle rollers are established by considering the time?varying features of the roller radius and inertia. Moreover, the influence of parameters and speed variation on fiber tension is investigated using the increment model. Subsequently, the control method is proposed by applying fiber tension in three levels accord?ing to the features of the three driven rollers. An adaptive fuzzy controller is designed for tuning the PID parameters online to control the speed of the master speed roller. Simulation is conducted for verifying the performance and sta?bility of the proposed tension control method by comparing with those of the conventional PID control method. The result reveals that the proposed method outperforms the conventional method. Finally, an experimental platform is constructed, and the proposed system is applied to a winding machine. The performance and stability of the tension control system are demonstrated via a series of experiments using carbon fiber under di erent reference speeds and tensions. Optical fiber coil winding model is used to guide proper and high precision coil winding for fiber optic gyroscope (FOG) application. Based on the large-deformation theory of elasticity, stress analysis of optical fiber free end has been made and balance equation of infinitesimal fiber is deduced, then deformation equation is derived by substituting terminal conditions. On condition that only axial tensile force exists, approximate curve equation has been built in small angle deformation scope. The comparison of tangent point longitudinal coordinate result between theory and approximation gives constant of integration, and expression with tangent point as origin of coordinate is readjusted. Analyzing the winding parameters of an example, it is clear that the horizontal distance from the highest point of wheel to fiber tangent point has millimeter order of magnitude and significant difference with fiber tension variation, and maintains invariant when wheel radius changes. The height of tension and accurate position of tangent point are defined for proper fiber guide. For application to fiber optic gyroscope, spiral-disc winding method and nonideal deformation of straddle section are analyzed, and then spiral-disc quadrupole pattern winding method has been introduced and realized by winding system. Two different conditions are considered in this study. One is Bridge condition on the concave surface and the other is Slip line condition in the process of patch winding. This paper presents the judgment principles and corresponding solutions by applying differential geometry theory and space geometry theory. To verify the feasibility of the patch winding method, the winding control code is programmed. Furthermore, the winding experiments on an airplane inlet and a vane are performed. From the experiments, it shows that the patch winding theory has the advantages of flexibility, easy design and application. 展开更多
