Multispectral and polarization cameras that can simultaneously acquire the spatial,spectral,and polarization characteristics of an object have considerable potential applications in target detection,biomedical imaging...Multispectral and polarization cameras that can simultaneously acquire the spatial,spectral,and polarization characteristics of an object have considerable potential applications in target detection,biomedical imaging,and remote sensing.In this work,we develop a common-aperture optical system that can capture multispectral and polarization information.An off-axis three-mirror optical system is mounted on the front end of the proposed system and used as a common-aperture telescope in the visible light(400 nm-750 nm)and long-wave infrared(LWIR,8μm-12μm)waveband.The system can maintain a wide field of view(4.5°)and it can demonstrate an enhanced identification ability.The off-axis three-mirror system gets rid of central obscuration while further yielding stable system resolution and energy.Light that has passed through the front-end common-aperture reflection system is divided into the visible light and LWIR waveband by a beamsplitter.The two wavebands then converge on two detectors through two groups of lenses.Our simulation results indicate that the proposed system can obtain clear images in each waveband to meet the diverse imaging requirements.展开更多
The influence of fuel pressure fluctuation on multi-injection fuel mass deviation has been studied a lot,but the fuel pressure fluctuation at injector inlet is still not eliminated efficiently.In this paper,a new type...The influence of fuel pressure fluctuation on multi-injection fuel mass deviation has been studied a lot,but the fuel pressure fluctuation at injector inlet is still not eliminated efficiently.In this paper,a new type of hydraulic filter consisting of a damping hole and a chamber is developed for elimination of fuel pressure fluctuation and multi-injection fuel mass deviation.Linear model of the improved high pressure common-rail system(HPCRS)including injector,the pipe connecting common-rail with injector and the hydraulic filter is built.Fuel pressure fluctuation at injector inlet,on which frequency domain analysis is conducted through fast Fourier transformation,is acquired at different target pressure and different damping hole diameter experimentally.The linear model is validated and can predict the natural frequencies of the system.Influence of damping hole diameter on fuel pressure fluctuation is analyzed qualitatively based on the linear model,and it can be inferred that an optimal diameter of the damping hole for elimination of fuel pressure fluctuation exists.Fuel pressure fluctuation and fuel mass deviation under different damping hole diameters are measured experimentally,and it is testified that the amplitude of both fuel pressure fluctuation and fuel mass deviation decreases first and then increases with the increasing of damping hole diameter.The amplitude of main injection fuel mass deviation can be reduced by 73%at most under pilot-main injection mode,and the amplitude of post injection fuel mass deviation can be reduced by 92%at most under main-post injection mode.Fuel mass of a single injection increases with the increasing of the damping hole diameter.The hydraulic filter proposed by this research can be potentially used to eliminate fuel pressure fluctuation at injector inlet and improve the stability of HPCRS fuel injection.展开更多

We present the case of an adolescent who presented with rhabdomyolysis due to severe hypokalemia arising from chronic diarrhea. Initial evaluation for celiac disease, known to present in this manner, was negative. Fur...We present the case of an adolescent who presented with rhabdomyolysis due to severe hypokalemia arising from chronic diarrhea. Initial evaluation for celiac disease, known to present in this manner, was negative. Further evaluation with colonoscopy showed a normal appearing colon but biopsies showed a significant number of apoptotic cells in the mucosal crypts supporting a diagnosis of apoptotic colitis. Investigation into the cause of apoptotic colitis resulted in a diagnosis of common variable immune deficiency due to a defect in the inducible T-cell costimulator (ICOS) gene. Physicians should be aware of this uncommon condition and the importance of mucosal biopsy despite the presence of normal appearing mucosa.展开更多

At least k safety units must function successfully for the robot system success. The robot and other failure rates and the partially failed system repair rates are assumed constant and the failed robot-safety system repair time is assumed arbitrarily distributed. Markov and supplementary variable methods were used to perform mathematical analysis of this model. Generalized expressions for state probabilities, system availabilities, reliability, mean time to failure, and variance of time to failure are developed. In calculating quiescent point, transistor base current is generally ignored to get the approximate base potential and emitter current, then other operating parameters, and AC small signal parameters can be acquired. The main purpose of this paper is to compare traditional and Thevenin equivalent methods and to get the difference of the two methods. A Formula is given to calculate the error of the traditional method. Example calculating reveals that the traditional method can generate an error about 10%, and even severe for small signal amplifier with higher quiescent point.展开更多

Especially the mechanical simulating technique for its inverse problem has been realized by means of pulley block. The conclusions for the inverse problem derived from mechanic method are in accordance with that given by the pure mathematical method, and the self-consistence of the theorem and its inverse problem has been demonstrated. Some application examples in engineering, economy and mathematics have been discussed, especially the possible application in the research of molecular structure, has also been predicted.展开更多
