TCMLCM:an intelligent question-answering model for traditional Chinese medicine lung cancer based on the KG2TRAG method

Objective To improve the accuracy and professionalism of question-answering(QA)model in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)lung cancer by integrating large language models with structured knowledge graphs using the knowledge graph(KG)to text-enhanced retrievalaugmented generation(KG2TRAG)method.Methods The TCM lung cancer model(TCMLCM)was constructed by fine-tuning Chat-GLM2-6B on the specialized datasets Tianchi TCM,HuangDi,and ShenNong-TCM-Dataset,as well as a TCM lung cancer KG.The KG2TRAG method was applied to enhance the knowledge retrieval,which can convert KG triples into natural language text via ChatGPT-aided linearization,leveraging large language models(LLMs)for context-aware reasoning.For a comprehensive comparison,MedicalGPT,HuatuoGPT,and BenTsao were selected as the baseline models.Performance was evaluated using bilingual evaluation understudy(BLEU),recall-oriented understudy for gisting evaluation(ROUGE),accuracy,and the domain-specific TCM-LCEval metrics,with validation from TCM oncology experts assessing answer accuracy,professionalism,and usability.Results The TCMLCM model achieved the optimal performance across all metrics,including a BLEU score of 32.15%,ROUGE-L of 59.08%,and an accuracy rate of 79.68%.Notably,in the TCM-LCEval assessment specific to the field of TCM,its performance was 3%−12%higher than that of the baseline model.Expert evaluations highlighted superior performance in accuracy and professionalism.Conclusion TCMLCM can provide an innovative solution for TCM lung cancer QA,demonstrating the feasibility of integrating structured KGs with LLMs.This work advances intelligent TCM healthcare tools and lays a foundation for future AI-driven applications in traditional medicine. 展开更多

Question-answering(QA)models find answers to a given question.The necessity of automatically finding answers is increasing because it is very important and challenging from the large-scale QA data sets.In this paper,we deal with the QA pair matching approach in QA models,which finds the most relevant question and its recommended answer for a given question.Existing studies for the approach performed on the entire dataset or datasets within a category that the question writer manually specifies.In contrast,we aim to automatically find the category to which the question belongs by employing the text classification model and to find the answer corresponding to the question within the category.Due to the text classification model,we can effectively reduce the search space for finding the answers to a given question.Therefore,the proposed model improves the accuracy of the QA matching model and significantly reduces the model inference time.Furthermore,to improve the performance of finding similar sentences in each category,we present an ensemble embedding model for sentences,improving the performance compared to the individual embedding models.Using real-world QA data sets,we evaluate the performance of the proposed QA matching model.As a result,the accuracy of our final ensemble embedding model based on the text classification model is 81.18%,which outperforms the existing models by 9.81%∼14.16%point.Moreover,in terms of the model inference speed,our model is faster than the existing models by 2.61∼5.07 times due to the effective reduction of search spaces by the text classification model. 展开更多

Geological strength index(GSI)has been widely used as an input parameter in predicting the strength and deformation properties of rock masses.This study derived a series of equations to satisfy the original GSI lines on the basic GSI chart.Two axes ranging from 0 to 100 were employed for surface conditions of the discontinuities and the structure of rock mass,which are independent of the input parameters.The derived equations can analyze GSI values ranging from 0 to 100 within±5%error.The engineering dimensions(EDs)such as the slope height,tunnel width,and foundation width were used together with representative elementary volume(REV)in jointed rock mass to define scale factor(sf)from 0.2 to 1 in evaluating the rock mass structure including joint pattern.The transformation of GSI into a scaledependent parameter based on engineering scale addresses a crucial requirement in various engineering applications.The improvements proposed in this study were applied to a real slope which was close to the time of failure.The results of stability assessments show that the new proposals have sufficient capability to define rock mass quality considering EDs. 展开更多

The quality control chart of fructo-oligosaccharides in milk powder was established to determine whether the detection process and results are in control state.The content of fructo-oligosaccharides in milk powder control samples was determined by ion chromatography,and the quality control chart of fructo-oligosaccharides was established to analyze the controlled state.The results indicate that the median of the quality control chart is 1613.14 mg/100 g,and the standard deviation is 85.57 mg/100 g.The new quality control points were evaluated and analyzed,and the precision changed,but the mean value did not change.Further F test was conducted to determine that the precision did not change significantly,indicating that the test was in a statistical control state,and the detection process,method and results were controlled. 展开更多

This study aims to examine the explicit solution for calculating the Average Run Length(ARL)on the triple exponentially weighted moving average(TEWMA)control chart applied to autoregressive model(AR(p)),where AR(p)is an autoregressive model of order p,representing a time series with dependencies on its p previous values.Additionally,the study evaluates the accuracy of both explicit and numerical integral equation(NIE)solutions for AR(p)using the TEWMA control chart,focusing on the absolute percentage relative error.The results indicate that the explicit and approximate solutions are in close agreement.Furthermore,the study investigates the performance of exponentially weighted moving average(EWMA)and TEWMA control charts in detecting changes in the process,using the relative mean index(RMI)as a measure.The findings demonstrate that the TEWMA control chart outperforms the EWMA control chart in detecting process changes,especially when the value ofλis sufficiently large.In addition,an analysis using historical data from the SET index between January 2024 and May 2024 and historical data of global annual plastic production,the results of both data sets also emphasize the superior performance of the TEWMA control chart. 展开更多

Rethinking Chart Understanding Using Multimodal Large Language Models

Extracting data from visually rich documents and charts using traditional methods that rely on OCR-based parsing poses multiple challenges,including layout complexity in unstructured formats,limitations in recognizing visual elements,and the correlation between different parts of the documents,as well as domain-specific semantics.Simply extracting text is not sufficient;advanced reasoning capabilities are proving to be essential to analyze content and answer questions accurately.This paper aims to evaluate the ability of the Large Language Models(LLMs)to correctly answer questions about various types of charts,comparing their performance when using images as input versus directly parsing PDF files.To retrieve the images from the PDF,ColPali,a model leveraging state-of-the-art visual languagemodels,is used to identify the relevant page containing the appropriate chart for each question.Google’s Gemini multimodal models were used to answer a set of questions through two approaches:1)processing images derived from PDF documents and 2)directly utilizing the content of the same PDFs.Our findings underscore the limitations of traditional OCR-based approaches in visual document understanding(VrDU)and demonstrate the advantages of multimodal methods in both data extraction and reasoning tasks.Through structured benchmarking of chart question answering(CQA)across input formats,our work contributes to the advancement of chart understanding(CU)and the broader field of multimodal document analysis.Using two diverse and information-rich sources:the World Health Statistics 2024 report by theWorld Health Organisation and the Global Banking Annual Review 2024 by McKinsey&Company,we examine the performance ofmultimodal LLMs across different input modalities,comparing their effectiveness in processing charts as images versus parsing directly from PDF content.These documents were selected due to their multimodal nature,combining dense textual analysis with varied visual representations,thus presenting realistic challenges for vision-language models.This comparison is aimed at assessing how advanced models perform with different input formats and to determine if an image-based approach enhances chart comprehension in terms of accurate data extraction and reasoning capabilities. 展开更多

The role of technical chart patterns in the early Bitcoin market: intraday evidence from the Mt.Gox transaction dataset

We use transaction-level data from the Bitcoin exchange Mt.Gox,including over 1.4 million transactions from more than 45,000 traders,to investigate the role of technical chart patterns in the early Bitcoin market from April 2011 to September 2013.Employing a pattern recognition algorithm,we identify hourly trading signals for five major chart patterns.Buy signals of these patterns are associated with an average increase in abnormal trading volume of more than 53%.Trades executed during buy signal periods yield significantly higher average returns than those made during non-signal periods.Traders who use chart patterns more frequently are more likely to generate right-skewed return distributions,engage in more active trading,and achieve higher average roundtrip returns.Our research suggests that chart pattern trading was a crucial tool for Mt.Gox clients,highlighting the importance of technical heuristics in shaping the dynamics in a less efficient and unregulated market environment.By leveraging a comprehensive transaction dataset from a major cryptocurrency exchange,we provide unique insights into the actual trading behavior of the first Bitcoin adopters.This sets our work apart from previous studies that mainly rely on backtesting technical strategies using publicly available price data. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Restless legs syndrome(RLS)is a neurological disorder characterized by an uncontrollable urge to move the legs during rest.Standard treatments may provide short-term relief but are limited by long-term adverse effects.Herbal medicine containing Paeoniae Radix(HCP)has traditionally been used in Korean medicine to treat RLS symptoms.AIM To investigate the clinical effectiveness and safety of HCP in treating RLS.METHODS This retrospective chart review study included 15 patients with RLS who were treated with HCP between September 2017 and August 2022 at the Kyung Hee University Korean Medicine Hospital.The demographic,disease-related,and treatment-related characteristics,as well as the impressions of each patient,were analyzed.The study also evaluated the changes in the subjective complaints of RLS symptoms,the Korean version of the International Restless Legs Scale(KIRLS)scores before and after treatment,and the adverse events after HCP administration.RESULTS Following HCP administration,14 patients(93.3%)experienced a decrease in the degree of discomfort associated with their symptoms,with an average reduction to 44.7±35.1%compared to their discomfort levels before taking the drug.After treatment,the mean total K-IRLS score decreased significantly from 23.00±9.75 to 13.93±10.9(P=0.005).Among the HCP,a significant reduction in the K-IRLS score was observed in the Gyejibokryeonghwan(26.0±9.7 to 10.0±9.4,P=0.028)and Jakyakgamchotang(23.2±12.6 to 6.6±4.2,P=0.042)groups.Additionally,no adverse events were reported.CONCLUSION HCP improved symptoms in RLS patients.These results suggest that HCP may be an effective and safe alternative for RLS.A randomized controlled trial is required to confirm these findings. 展开更多

This study presents an innovative development of the exponentially weighted moving average(EWMA)control chart,explicitly adapted for the examination of time series data distinguished by seasonal autoregressive moving average behavior—SARMA(1,1)L under exponential white noise.Unlike previous works that rely on simplified models such as AR(1)or assume independence,this research derives for the first time an exact two-sided Average Run Length(ARL)formula for theModified EWMAchart under SARMA(1,1)L conditions,using a mathematically rigorous Fredholm integral approach.The derived formulas are validated against numerical integral equation(NIE)solutions,showing strong agreement and significantly reduced computational burden.Additionally,a performance comparison index(PCI)is introduced to assess the chart’s detection capability.Results demonstrate that the proposed method exhibits superior sensitivity to mean shifts in autocorrelated environments,outperforming existing approaches.The findings offer a new,efficient framework for real-time quality control in complex seasonal processes,with potential applications in environmental monitoring and intelligent manufacturing systems. 展开更多

转换系数决定了核磁共振横向弛豫时间转换为孔喉半径的准确性,为明确不同转换方法的适应性,基于核磁共振原理,对比转换系数的线性相关式与幂函数关系式的异同,依据核磁共振孔喉分布包含高压压汞孔喉分布这一客观事实引出3个约束条件,确... 转换系数决定了核磁共振横向弛豫时间转换为孔喉半径的准确性,为明确不同转换方法的适应性,基于核磁共振原理,对比转换系数的线性相关式与幂函数关系式的异同,依据核磁共振孔喉分布包含高压压汞孔喉分布这一客观事实引出3个约束条件,确定了高压压汞的最小和最大孔喉半径分别对应的横向弛豫时间上、下限,建立转换系数取值范围并构建转换结果合理性判断图版,进而提出用于计算转换系数的双特征值法,最后评价了不同转换方法的适应性并给出了校正方法。研究结果表明:①高压压汞最大孔喉半径及其对应的横向弛豫时间上限决定了转换系数下限,高压压汞最小孔喉半径及其对应的横向弛豫时间下限决定了转换系数上限;②双特征值法以高压压汞的最小和最大孔喉半径分别作为特征值,利用约束条件确定其对应的横向弛豫时间近似值,进而计算转换系数;③双特征值法的符合率达到100%,累积饱和度法在曲线形态相似时的符合率为100%,最大特征值法在最大进汞饱和度超过40%时的符合率为80%,校正后的累积饱和度法和最大特征值法,其符合率均可达到100%且不受最大进汞饱和度以及曲线形态变化影响。结论认为:所建立的转换系数取值范围、合理性判断图版及双特征值法,解决了现有方法适应性差、结果不准的难题;所提出的校正方法优化了现有求取技术,可为致密砂岩孔喉结构精准评价提供可靠的技术支撑与方法借鉴。 展开更多

目的探讨体位摆放图在行胃肠镜检查患者中的应用效果,旨在为规范、高效摆放胃肠镜检查患者提供借鉴。方法采用便利抽样法,选取2023年9月23日-28日在广州市某三级甲等医院消化内镜中心行胃肠镜检查的200例胃肠镜检查患者作为研究对象,采... 目的探讨体位摆放图在行胃肠镜检查患者中的应用效果,旨在为规范、高效摆放胃肠镜检查患者提供借鉴。方法采用便利抽样法,选取2023年9月23日-28日在广州市某三级甲等医院消化内镜中心行胃肠镜检查的200例胃肠镜检查患者作为研究对象,采用随机数字表,分为试验组和对照组,每组各100例。摆放体位时,试验组接受为体位图结合语言指导,对照组仅接受语言指导,采用自行编制的体位摆放数据登记表收集相关数据。结果两组均顺利完成体位摆放。试验组完全配合例数为71例,对照组为54例,两组比较,差异具有统计学意义(χ^(2)=6.165,P<0.05)。试验组的体位摆放合格度评分为14.00(13.00,15.00)分,对照组为13.00(12.00,14.00)分,两组比较,差异具有统计学意义(Z=-4.944,P<0.001)。试验组的体位摆放时间29.00(24.00,32.00)s,对照组为48.00(38.00,56.00)s,两组比较,差异具有统计学意义(Z=-10.751,P<0.001)。试验组、对照组的检查舒适率分别为92.00%、89.00%,两组比较,差异无统计学意义(χ^(2)=0.523,P=0.469)。试验组、对照组的总共检查时间分别为1691、2114 min,试验组、对照组每例患者的平均检查时间分别为(16.91±0.91)(20.14±1.68)min,两组比较,差异具有统计学意义(t=-16.906,P<0.001)。结论应用体位摆放图指导行提高了患者体位摆放的配合度和体位摆放的合格度,缩短了患者的体位摆放时间,对于提高临床医疗服务质量具有重要意义。 展开更多

目的探究肺腺癌一线化疗患者顺铂化疗抵抗发生的影响因素,并构建列线图风险预测模型。方法选择104例肺腺癌一线化疗患者作为研究对象,统计患者化疗期间顺铂化疗抵抗发生情况;设计基线资料调查表采集患者的临床资料,采用单因素、多因素Lo... 目的探究肺腺癌一线化疗患者顺铂化疗抵抗发生的影响因素,并构建列线图风险预测模型。方法选择104例肺腺癌一线化疗患者作为研究对象,统计患者化疗期间顺铂化疗抵抗发生情况;设计基线资料调查表采集患者的临床资料,采用单因素、多因素Logistic回归分析肺腺癌患者一线化疗过程中顺铂化疗抵抗发生的影响因素,并构建列线图风险预测模型。绘制受试者工作特征(ROC)曲线验证该模型的预测价值,并绘制决策曲线评估该模型的临床获益情况。结果经4个周期的一线化疗后,顺铂化疗抵抗发生率为41.35%(43/104)。单因素分析结果显示,发生组肿瘤直径大于未发生组,CEA、CA125水平高于未发生组,且营养不良、低分化/未分化、未联合靶向治疗、甲状腺转录因子-1(TTF-1)阴性的患者占比均高于未发生组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05);多因素Logistic回归分析结果显示:肿瘤直径大、低分化/未分化、营养不良、未联合靶向治疗、TTF-1阴性是肺腺癌一线化疗患者顺铂化疗抵抗发生的独立危险因素(OR>1,P<0.05)。构建列线图风险预测模型,验证模型显示C-index=0.843,具有良好区分度;绘制ROC曲线,结果显示,列线图风险预测模型评估肺腺癌一线化疗患者顺铂化疗抵抗发生的AUC为0.843,AUC的95%置信区间为0.769~0.917,P<0.001,敏感度为0.814,特异度为0.754,约登指数为0.568;绘制决策曲线,结果显示,在阈值0.00~0.87范围内具有更高的净收益率,最大净收益率为0.370,提示该模型具有较好的预测价值。结论肿瘤直径大、低分化/未分化、营养不良、未联合靶向治疗、TTF-1阴性是肺腺癌一线化疗患者顺铂化疗抵抗发生的独立危险因素,基于上述因素构建的列线图风险预测模型可较好预测患者顺铂化疗抵抗发生风险。 展开更多

中英艾滋病策略支持项目(CHARTS项目)是我国惟一专门从事艾滋病防治政策开发和落实的战略性国际合作项目,项目办设在国务院艾滋病防治工作委员会办公室(国艾办),项目自2005年1月启动,将于2011年3月底结束。项目支持20个相关部委、12个省... 中英艾滋病策略支持项目(CHARTS项目)是我国惟一专门从事艾滋病防治政策开发和落实的战略性国际合作项目,项目办设在国务院艾滋病防治工作委员会办公室(国艾办),项目自2005年1月启动,将于2011年3月底结束。项目支持20个相关部委、12个省,80多家大学和研究机构,20多家社团和民间组织参与。为全面评价CHARTS项目对我国艾滋病防治政策环境变化的作用及影响,项目聘请专家利用项目数据库,国家艾滋病防治综合政策指数(NCPI)调查问卷,访谈三种方法收集数据。运用"前-后"对比、关联分析、对象评定法、文本分析法四种策略进行分析和论证。结果显示自2005年以来中国艾滋病防治政策环境发生了变化,归因于中国政府对艾滋病防治工作的高度重视,并始终坚持"政府组织领导部门各负其责、全社会共同参与"的结果。CHARTS项目与国家艾滋病防治政策环境变化密切相关,主要在"战略规划、政治支持、预防、治疗关怀与支持、督导与评估五个领域"起到了积极推动作用。 展开更多

油藏水驱后注天然气驱动态分析通用图版建立

水驱动态分析广泛应用童氏图版,但注气动态分析中却缺乏类似的通用图版,导致工程应用中难以判断气驱动态和措施有效性。基于二维实验建立了水驱后气驱通用特征曲线关系式及水驱后气驱通用图版,提出了针对具体油藏建立通用图版的方法和... 水驱动态分析广泛应用童氏图版,但注气动态分析中却缺乏类似的通用图版,导致工程应用中难以判断气驱动态和措施有效性。基于二维实验建立了水驱后气驱通用特征曲线关系式及水驱后气驱通用图版,提出了针对具体油藏建立通用图版的方法和步骤。研究认为:(1)提出的水转气驱合理停注时机确定方法、利用停注气/油比确定理论图版常数方法和针对具体油藏不同注气方式时常系数(b^(-))确定方法,实例应用分析显示该方法科学合理。(2)采用所提出的图版常数确定法,对塔里木油田东河区块CⅢ1层段气驱控制储量预测的误差约为6%。(3)应用所建立的水驱转天然气驱通用图版,对强非均质性的X油田4油组进行评价,预测其水驱后顶部注天然气重力辅助驱的最终采收率。其结果与长岩心实验结果及数值模拟分析结果一致,表明利用基于理论图版敏感性所给出水驱转气驱主要控制因素,并与该通用图版结合,可有效分析注气动态、提升注气效果。(4)在塔里木油田东河区块CⅢ1层段顶部注气辅助混相驱和X油田4油组顶部注气非混相驱两类注天然气驱替油藏实际应用并开展预测,均取得较好效果,表明所提出方法对不同类型的水驱后气驱开发油藏具有较好的通用性。 展开更多

渤海底水稠油油田热采分支井技术适用性研究

针对海上底水稠油油藏水平分支井热采开发经验较少,相关应用界限不明晰的问题,根据渤海稠油油藏物性特征,建立海上底水稠油油藏分支井技术适用性图版。利用多元非线性回归拟合得出分支井技术潜力预测模型,并验证了分支井技术适用性图版... 针对海上底水稠油油藏水平分支井热采开发经验较少,相关应用界限不明晰的问题,根据渤海稠油油藏物性特征,建立海上底水稠油油藏分支井技术适用性图版。利用多元非线性回归拟合得出分支井技术潜力预测模型,并验证了分支井技术适用性图版和潜力预测模型的准确性。结果表明:当吨油操作成本取1000元/m^(3),原油价格取60美元/桶时,底水稠油油藏分支井技术适用界限为油藏厚度8.4 m、含油饱和度0.61、原油黏度17500 mPa·s、渗透率420 mD、净毛比0.29、水体倍数67倍;A油田蒸汽吞吐8轮次累计油汽比为0.907,累计产油为57628 m^(3),分支井潜力预测模型与数值模拟结果相比准确度超过90%,满足现场前期选井和潜力快评工作需求。 展开更多

在高质量制造过程中,某些产品的质量特性可能呈现非对称分布,有时只需关注单边的偏移。传统双边控制图可能因“惯性效应”而不适用于这类情况。为提升监测效率并减小此类影响,文章引入了单边改进扩展型指数加权移动平均均值控制图,该控... 在高质量制造过程中,某些产品的质量特性可能呈现非对称分布,有时只需关注单边的偏移。传统双边控制图可能因“惯性效应”而不适用于这类情况。为提升监测效率并减小此类影响,文章引入了单边改进扩展型指数加权移动平均均值控制图,该控制图具备两个平滑参数,提升了监测不同偏移大小的适应性,可根据观测值变化调整权重分配,优化监测效果。进一步,基于马尔可夫链与蒙特卡洛仿真方法,完成了控制图在零状态、稳态及最坏场景下平均运行长度(ARL)的定量测算,且依托测算数据明确了该控制图的最优参数组合。仿真实验和工业案例的比较分析结果显示,单边IEEWMA均值控制图在性能上优于单边EWMA均值控制图和CUSUM控制图,具有更好的适用性、灵活性和监测灵敏度。 展开更多

目的分析中英艾滋病防治策略项目(CHARTS)促进艾滋病防治督导与评估体系建设情况。方法利用CHARTS项目战略管理能力评估工具,通过深入访谈和小组讨论收集数据,并通过查阅项目计划和进展报告以及有关工作报告、研究报告和文件等资料收... 目的分析中英艾滋病防治策略项目(CHARTS)促进艾滋病防治督导与评估体系建设情况。方法利用CHARTS项目战略管理能力评估工具,通过深入访谈和小组讨论收集数据,并通过查阅项目计划和进展报告以及有关工作报告、研究报告和文件等资料收集相关信息,采取定量和定性相结合的分析方法。结果国家和省级的艾滋病防治督导与评估系统建设目标实现程度在CHARTS项目基期、中期和终期的中位数分别是20%(1%-53.8%)、37.1%(29.5%-71%)和74.9%(56.7%-83.2%),表明达到了"系统地实现"目标的阶段。CHARTS项目通过技术和资金支持了涵盖国家级和省级督导与评估体系的八个方面。结论国家和省级的艾滋病防治督导与评估系统建设具有明显进步,CHARTS项目通过技术和资金支持,发挥了促进督导与评估体系建设的作用。 展开更多
