The center of HitPeers is the Category Tree (CT). CT collects the published information with category. It is flexible enough to let users customize their own local CT. Its hierarchy helps users to find the information they desire most conveniently. To increase the robustness and retain the efficiency, HitPeers will divide the tree into disjoint parts. Every part is a subtree. Some special nodes named Onodes will take charge of the subtree and play the role of a service provider. HitPeers produce more and more Onodes to meet the service demands in the internet scale distributed environment. This paper will show the profile of the whole system.展开更多

Semantic segmentation of novel object categories with limited labeled data remains a challenging problem in computer vision.Few-shot segmentation methods aim to address this problem by recognizing objects from specifi...Semantic segmentation of novel object categories with limited labeled data remains a challenging problem in computer vision.Few-shot segmentation methods aim to address this problem by recognizing objects from specific target classes with a few provided examples.Previous approaches for few-shot semantic segmentation typically represent target classes using class prototypes.These prototypes are matched with the features of the query set to get segmentation results.However,class prototypes are usually obtained by applying global average pooling on masked support images.Global pooling discards much structural information,which may reduce the accuracy of model predictions.To address this issue,we propose a Category-Guided Frequency Modulation(CGFM)method.CGFM is designed to learn category-specific information in the frequency space and leverage it to provide a twostage guidance for the segmentation process.First,to self-adaptively activate class-relevant frequency bands while suppressing irrelevant ones,we leverage the Dual-Perception Gaussian Band Pre-activation(DPGBP)module to generate Gaussian filters using class embedding vectors.Second,to further enhance category-relevant frequency components in activated bands,we design a Support-Guided Category Response Enhancement(SGCRE)module to effectively introduce support frequency components into the modulation of query frequency features.Experiments on the PASCAL-5^(i) and COCO-20^(i) datasets demonstrate the promising performance of our model.展开更多

First, the sufficient and necessary conditions making the category into a monoidal category are obtained by using the fact that if (A, C, ψ) is an entwining structure, then A × C can be made into an entwined module. The conditions are that the algebra and coalgebra in question are both bialgebras with some extra compatibility relations. Then given a monodial category of entwined modules, the braiding is constructed by means of a twisted convolution invertible map Q, and the conditions making the category form into a braided monoidal category are obtained similarly. Finally, the construction is applied to the category of Doi-Hopf modules and (α, β )-Yetter-Drinfeld modules as examples.展开更多

With the purpose of improving the accuracy of text categorization and reducing the dimension of the feature space,this paper proposes a two-stage feature selection method based on a novel category correlation degree(C...With the purpose of improving the accuracy of text categorization and reducing the dimension of the feature space,this paper proposes a two-stage feature selection method based on a novel category correlation degree(CCD)method and latent semantic indexing(LSI).In the first stage,a novel CCD method is proposed to select the most effective features for text classification,which is more effective than the traditional feature selection method.In the second stage,document representation requires a high dimensionality of the feature space and does not take into account the semantic relation between features,which leads to a poor categorization accuracy.So LSI method is proposed to solve these problems by using statistically derived conceptual indices to replace the individual terms which can discover the important correlative relationship between features and reduce the feature space dimension.Firstly,each feature in our algorithm is ranked depending on their importance of classification using CCD method.Secondly,we construct a new semantic space based on LSI method among features.The experimental results have proved that our method can reduce effectively the dimension of text vector and improve the performance of text categorization.展开更多

Neologisms are the result of people's conceptualization of new things based on their life experiences. Cognitive linguistics views that categorization of organisms and concrete objects are based on the prototype category. This paper takes 167 English Neologisms from Wordspy in2015 as the data for analysis and finds that these English Neologisms are characterized by family resemblances, degree of membership in category and boundary fuzziness from the view of prototype category theory. BACKGROUND The global epidemiology of type 1 diabetes(T1D)is not yet well known,as no precise data are available from many countries.T1D is,however,characterized by an important variation in incidences among countries...BACKGROUND The global epidemiology of type 1 diabetes(T1D)is not yet well known,as no precise data are available from many countries.T1D is,however,characterized by an important variation in incidences among countries and a dramatic increase of these incidences during the last decades,predominantly in younger children.In the United States and Europe,the increase has been associated with the gross domestic product(GDP)per capita.In our previous systematic review,geographical variation of incidence was correlated with socio-economic factors.AIM To investigate variation in the incidence of T1D in age categories and search to what extent these variations correlated with the GDP per capita.METHODS A systematic review was performed to retrieve information about the global incidence of T1D among those younger than 14 years of age.The study was carried out according to the PRISMA recommendations.For the analysis,the incidence was organized in the periods:1975-1999 and 2000-2017.We searched the incidence of T1D in the age-groups 0-4,5-9 and 10-14.We compared the incidences in countries for which information was available for the two periods.We obtained the GDP from the World Bank.We analysed the relationship between the incidence of T1D with the GDP in countries reporting data at the national level.RESULTS We retrieved information for 84 out of 194 countries around the world.We found a wide geographic variation in the incidence of T1D and a worldwide increase during the two periods.The largest contribution to this increase was observed in the youngest group of children with T1D,with a relative increase of almost double when comparing the two periods(P value=2.5×e-5).Twenty-six countries had information on the incidence of T1D at the national level for the two periods.There was a positive correlation between GDP and the incidence of T1D in both periods(Spearman correlation=0.52 from 1975-1999 and Spearman correlation=0.53 from 2000-2017).CONCLUSION The incidence increase was higher in the youngest group(0-4 years of age),and the highest incidences of T1D were found in wealthier countries.展开更多

Light Gradien...Addressing classification and prediction challenges, tree ensemble models have gained significant importance. Boosting ensemble techniques are commonly employed for forecasting Type-II diabetes mellitus. Light Gradient Boosting Machine (LightGBM) is a widely used algorithm known for its leaf growth strategy, loss reduction, and enhanced training precision. However, LightGBM is prone to overfitting. In contrast, CatBoost utilizes balanced base predictors known as decision tables, which mitigate overfitting risks and significantly improve testing time efficiency. CatBoost’s algorithm structure counteracts gradient boosting biases and incorporates an overfitting detector to stop training early. This study focuses on developing a hybrid model that combines LightGBM and CatBoost to minimize overfitting and improve accuracy by reducing variance. For the purpose of finding the best hyperparameters to use with the underlying learners, the Bayesian hyperparameter optimization method is used. By fine-tuning the regularization parameter values, the hybrid model effectively reduces variance (overfitting). Comparative evaluation against LightGBM, CatBoost, XGBoost, Decision Tree, Random Forest, AdaBoost, and GBM algorithms demonstrates that the hybrid model has the best F1-score (99.37%), recall (99.25%), and accuracy (99.37%). Consequently, the proposed framework holds promise for early diabetes prediction in the healthcare industry and exhibits potential applicability to other datasets sharing similarities with diabetes.展开更多
